25. Paige

CHAPTER TWENTY-FIVE

Paige

The night passes with next to no sleep. I toss and turn the whole time, my body buzzing with adrenaline. I’ve experienced the best orgasm of my life less than eight hours ago, and my core is tingling again already.

It’s like she was starved for so long, and now she can’t stop eating. Or being eaten out in this case.

Ryan being only a wall away is not making things any better.

It would be so easy to knock on his door and get my hit.

For some reason, it seems like he’s attracted to me.

Like he wants me. I didn’t get a good look at his package today, but I saw enough to know he came.

I don’t think I’ll ever forget the sight of his face contracting with pleasure, fueled by licking my pussy.

Fuck, this train of thoughts is making things worse.

My clit throbs with need, my nipples poking through the flimsy pajamas.

I contemplate taking the toy from my suitcase, but after I had Ryan’s tongue on me, having a piece of silicone trying to imitate it isn’t the least bit appealing.

Still, the desire is too strong, so I let out a huff and slip my fingers under my shorts.

My core is already drenched, and it’s easy to spread the wetness to my clit, rubbing it in soft circles.

I use deep breaths to stop moans from forming, but tiny whimpers still escape me.

My skin is a live wire, ready to combust at any moment.

It’s like nothing I’ve ever felt before, but the memory of him ravishing me is intoxicating.

My stomach clenches as I rub my clit faster and faster, plummeting to my release.

When it comes, it curls my toes, sending shivers down my body.

Teeth dig into my bottom lip, but they barely keep me from screaming out.

As my breath settles and I come down from my high, I realize the tingle isn’t gone.

It can’t be satisfied with my fingers. Not after it experienced him.

This is such a mess. Just two quick encounters, without even sharing a kiss, are enough to reel me in to the point of obsession. I can’t let that happen.

We need boundaries. After this vacation, we’ll see each other at the wedding, and that’s plenty.

We don’t need to be seeing each other any more than that.

I just have to stay strong these last two days here.

I can’t let myself get roped into a fishy situation like yesterday.

Because if I do, I’m not sure I’ll be able to resist.

Dad informs us we have a family dinner in the evening, but we’re off for the rest of the day. We’re leaving the island tomorrow, which means I only need to stick it out through that dinner.

A knock sounds at my door, before Emma’s head peeks in. “Hey, we’re heading to the beach? Want to come?”

“I just need to send this in, and I’ll be joining you.” I’d prefer getting out of the villa right away, but my job depends on me sending this column.

“Sure, we’ll share our location.”

She closes the door, and I continue typing. I don’t know if Ryan is here, and it’s not something I want to find out, so I work fast, hoping to finish as soon as possible.

In the end, I opt for a safe version of the column.

I don’t share the fact that I’ve recently discovered how lackluster the toy is.

Instead, I share how it felt good using it, but it doesn’t compare to the real thing.

I describe the sensations in my body without sharing the details of who was responsible for them.

It’s still awkward writing about it, but it gets easier the more I do it, especially now that the sensations are so clear and fresh in my mind.

Thank God that my family respects my wishes to not read my columns because this would be exponentially harder to write if they did.

After a final read-through, I let out a sharp exhale and click send. This will have to do. Quickly, I grab a towel and head toward the door. A knot unravels in my belly when I reach the front door without running into Ryan, but it turns into a rock once I find him on the other side.

His eyebrows are high with surprise, but he’s still a perfect specimen of a man, just like he was yesterday. A white t-shirt hugs his chest and biceps, with the workout shorts doing wonders for his thighs.

“Hi. I’m heading out,” I say.

“Going to the beach?” He glances at the towel in my hands.

“Yup. You?”

“Just got back from a run.” That explains the wet spots on his shirt.

“Cool. Cool. Cool. Well, see you tonight.” Great job, Paige. That hasn’t sounded like it’s your first day on Earth, at all. I rush off, rubbing a hand over my face.

Emma and Jordan are hanging out in the shallows when I get to the beach, and I’m grateful to see that they’ve brought in an extra sunbed for me, right under the umbrella.

With my mind racing, I forgot to bring the SPF, which is a very bad idea.

The sun beats down with force, sparkling the turquoise waters and the soft white sand.

Luckily, the two of them exit the ocean, racing each other to our spot on the beach.

“I forgot sunscreen. Please tell me you have it,” I blurt out.

“We do.” Jordan digs through the backpack and throws a bottle toward me.

I don’t catch it before it hits my thigh. “Ouch.”

“Such a baby.” She rolls her eyes.

“Hey, I’m only three minutes younger than you.” My words elicit a giggle out of Emma.

“Need some help?” she asks.

“Please.”

I sit up and she scoots in behind me, moving my hair from my back. The lotion is cold when she squirts it over my back, but she quickly massages it in.

“So… tonight’s the last night here,” Jordan comments, lying back on her bed.

“Yes.” Thank God.

“We’ve made no progress with Kim. If we don’t stop this now, who knows if we’ll ever get a chance,” she continues.

“I know,” I mutter.

“Is it Ryan?”

I lean forward harshly, messing the work Emma’s doing on my back. “What?”

“You haven’t said anything bad about him for days. And the way he rushed to cater to your wound yesterday was weird.”

“I think he’s just… nice.”

“See? That’s what I’m talking about. You’re making nice with the enemy.”

“Enemy?” My voice raises. “You’ve been nice to him, too.”

“Yeah, but I’m not interested in fucking him.” Her lips pull into a skeptical side smirk.

“I’m not… it’s not.” My mind blanks as she stares at me with suspicion.

Finally, I sigh, forming a coherent thought.

“I’m not attracted to him.” The words barely leave my mouth.

“I get flustered because I’m still embarrassed by the way we met.

More importantly, I’m not comfortable doing this to Kim.

She seems like a good person who doesn’t deserve us acting like spoiled brats. ”

She rolls her eyes in her practiced sisterly manner. “We’re not actually doing anything to her. It’s not like we’re planting whoopee cushions on her chair or mixing her shampoo with shaving cream.”

Emma gives a dramatic gasp. “Where are you getting your ideas from?”

Jordan jokingly throws a shirt at her, but it falls to the ground sooner than it reaches us. “As I was saying… We’re just trying to show Dad they’re incompatible. You used to love doing that with me.”

“I know.”

She releases a sigh but doesn’t press further. I get where she’s coming from, but having any hidden motives toward Kim doesn’t sit right with me. Besides, I need to focus on escaping the temptation that is her son, because, so far, I’m failing spectacularly at it.
