Chapter 26
Ifeel his breath on my neck, and goosebumps rise over my skin. “Is everything with this wedding under control?” he whispers, nipping at my ear. I’m standing in the hall watching the wedding toast. The events of the day are wrapping up, and normally after the happy couple cuts the cake, I get to take off.
I can feel his hard cock pressing into the back of me through his suit pants. “Was someone lonely in their office without me?” I ask with a small laugh.
“Very. And knowing you’re just down here at the conference center has me distracted. Maybe if you come back to my office with me, I might catch up on some work. There’s no one else around.”
I glance over my shoulder at him, feeling my insides clench with anticipation. I know we shouldn’t keep on doing this. It’s risky, but I can’t help myself when it comes to him. And we are being really careful now. Nothing came of the rose thing, so either it was Victor trying to call Brody out and my making it obvious I knew something put a stop to it, or it was a silly prank no one is admitting to. But having Brodys friend, Noah Harrington, on security makes me feel more at ease. Actually, since he started, everything around the place is running more seamlessly. Brody is happier than I have seen him, and Emerson has more time to work with me on the weddings. We’re becoming an unstoppable team.
I slip into the hallway with him, and we hurry through the back garden and staff halls straight to his office. As soon as we’re safely locked inside, his hands are on me. The past month sneaking around with him has been the most fun of my life. I feel alive like never before.
His lips showering me in hurried desperate kisses, he tugs at my blouse, pulling it from my waistband and up and over my head as I unbutton his shirt, needing my hands on his smooth muscular abs. He palms my breasts, shoving the fabric of my bra down and exposing my nipples. I press my chest into him as he takes each one in his mouth, teasing my nipples with his tongue and sucking hard, sending shivers of pleasure all through my body. I love how rough he is with me, making me truly feel his desperation to have me. I skate my hands down his body till I get to his pants where I unzip his fly so I can get my hands on his cock. It’s thick and throbbing with need for me. I get down on my knees and take him in my mouth, sucking the length of him before licking my tongue up the length of his shaft, circling around the tip.
“Fuck, your mouth should be illegal,” he growls.
I take him as far down my throat as I can, just the way I know he likes. His hands come to my hair. Pulling it into a ponytail behind my head, he grips on as I fuck him with my mouth. I stare up at him, watching his face, loving the pleasure I see in his dark eyes. He loves it when I suck his cock. It gets him all kinds of crazy worked up. He pushes himself a little further down my throat, and I gag, unable to take him all the way.
“Take it, sweet pea, all of me,” he coaxes me, and I try again, taking all of him just the way he likes. Then he releases me, and I lick my way back up his length.
“Where will I fuck you today? Against the wall? Or will I sit over there and have you ride me? Or do I spread you out over my desk, an all-time favorite of mine?”
As he contemplates the options, I continue sucking him, massaging his balls as I do. He growls and tugs at my hair, pulling me off him and helping me to stand before him. He undoes my skirt, letting it fall to the floor.
“I’ve got it. Up on my desk on all fours,” he instructs, his eyes sparkling with dark desire. “I want to taste you first.”
I don’t waste any time making my way to his desk. I hop up and crawl on all fours for him, my thong and bra still on. He comes around the desk, a smirk playing on his lips as he looks over my body, his hand landing on my ass, smacking me. “What was that for?” I gasp.
“Tempting me all afternoon. I haven’t been able to concentrate watching you walk around in that damn pencil skirt. He smacks the other cheek as well then rubs the skin as if he’s trying to ease the pain he’s just caused me. This is a game we play often, and he knows how much I like it.
He moves my thong out of the way, and I can feel his eyes on me. He likes to take his time getting me really worked up before he allows me my release. He runs his fingers through my wetness, circling my clit then pushing a finger inside me. I moan out loud in appreciation. Then his tongue is on me, lapping me up. He works me into a frenzy, licking, sucking, kissing me as he slides a single digit in and out of my pussy slowly. I lean into his desk, waves of pleasure rippling over me. Then he adds a second, twisting it deliciously, hitting my G-spot. I cry out, seeing stars.
“Shh, sweet pea.” His lips come to my ear. “You don’t want us to get caught now, do you?” His voice is serious, and as much as we know there’s no management around, there is still staff in the building.
“No,” I whimper, covering my mouth, knowing I won’t be able to stop with what he’s doing to me. It’s too good.
He kisses down my neck, still teasing me with his fingers. Then theyre gone and he’s moving me backwards so my feet come to the floor, my body pressed against his desk. My body tingles all over. I want so badly to be filled up by him. The tip of his cock torments my pussy, sliding through my juices. “Brody, fuck me,” I beg in a hushed voice. I can’t stand it any longer. I need him now.
He chuckles, getting way too much pleasure out of tormenting me. Then he pushes forward, filling me, and I gasp out loud, quickly covering my mouth with my hand. His hand wraps around my neck, and he holds me close as he fucks me with perfect precision. Long, deep strokes hitting me right in my core and sending shockwaves through my body.
He bites my earlobe. “Cum for me, sweet pea. Now,” he growls, and I do, a flood of euphoria coming over me. My body throbs and tightens around his cock, pulsing in waves.
Then his mouth is back on me eating me up, and he laps up my juices greedily like it’s his last supper. He spins me around so I’m facing him and pushes me back to the desk, my legs spread wide. He plunges deep inside me again. His lips meet mine, and I kiss him, tasting my arousal. He’s like a man possessed tonight. I feel his body tense as he moves forward, filling me with his release.
He doesn’t pull away from me when he’s done, he keeps kissing me, and when he eventually pulls back, his expression is filled with more than dark lust. “You’re perfection, Gisele,” he whispers.
I love it when he says that. I stare back up at him, lost in his eyes. Something has shifted from when we started this a month ago. That felt different, more meaningful somehow. And I hope it’s not just me that feels like that, because I know I’m getting attached to him. Gone is any thought of ever returning home and doing that show with my father. I’m all his, and I’m here with him for good. I just hope he feels the same.
He kisses me deeply, and I cling to him, wishing I could stay like this with him forever. The music from the wedding stops, and I know I can’t.
He checks his watch. “Better get back to it,” he says, looking as disappointed as I feel.
I fix myself up and rush back down to the wedding to double-check it’s all under control before I can take off for the night. Happy couples are still hanging out on the dance floor even though the musics off and last call has been made. I find our bride and groom in the center and approach them. “Hope you both had a wonderful night,” I offer, all smiles.
“We did. Thank you for everything you did for us, Gisele, you’re a godsend. This has been the best night of my life,” Danny, my bride says, sounding a little tipsy.
“Thanks, Gisele. I’m going to get this one back to our room,” Sam, our groom, agrees, taking his bride in his arms. She waves goodbye to me, and I laugh.
Our kitchen staff have all cleaned up and headed home, and I know Noah will be here soon to walk me to my car, a sentiment that doesn’t get lost on me. For all Brodys overbearing behaviors, this one I’m okay with. Sometimes, toward the end of the night, weddings can get a little rowdy. I definitely feel safer knowing I have Noah around. I go to turn back to the kitchen to grab my bag and bump into Victor.
“Victor, you surprised me. I didn’t realize you were working tonight.” I check my watch. “Not this late, anyway. Normally it’s just me and the bar staff and security this time of night,” I say nervously.
He looks me over, his gaze unreadable. “I had a few things to attend to. You know how it is with this place, never a dull moment.”
I laugh awkwardly. “Sure thing.”
“It’s so nice to see you have made yourself at home here in Deception Bay. Tonight’s couple seemed thrilled with their special day. You’re such a wonderful addition to our team.”
“Thank you. I really enjoy helping people with their wedding.” I smile awkwardly, unsure where this is going or why he’s here. He never comes down to the conference center.
“That’s just perfect. It makes me so happy to know Brody has found a delightful girl like yourself.”
My heart races as I stare back at him. “As his events coordinator?” I play dumb, even though by the uncomfortable way he scrutinizes me, I know exactly what he is implying.
“Come on, dear. We both know you’re much more than just his coordinator.” He winks at me, and I throw up a little in my mouth. For the love of God, why is he messing with me?
“I’m s-sorry?” I stutter out. “I’m not sure what you’re referring to,” I lie, trying to cover our tracks. This is bad. Really fucking bad.
“I’ve just come from my office. I’m not judging you. It wouldn’t be the first time a couple got carried away in these offices. Brody is a rich, powerful man. I’m sure it would be easy to get swept away in the fantasy of who he is.”
I blink back at him, shocked that he is being so brazen. “Honestly, Victor, you have the wrong idea. Nothing is going on,” I lie, aware that I don’t sound as convincing as I would like.
He smirks, a nasty glint in his eyes. “Your secret is safe with me. I’m glad he has someone to keep him company; running a place like this can be lonely. I only hope you don’t get too attached to him. Men like Brody don’t mess around with one girl for long. I should know, I watched his father go from one affair to another for years.” He takes my hand and strokes it, his eyes finding mine. My heart races in panic, his words making me so uncomfortable. “He really is the spitting image of his father in so many ways, and when you’re married to your work, things happen. I like you, Gisele, I wouldn’t want you to be caught up in another Alexander scandal,” he says like he has only my best interests at heart.
Goosebumps scatter up my arms with the words he’s implying. I want to fight for Brody’s reputation and show Victor that he is nothing like his father, but it’s impossible to do without implicating both of us. Even though I don’t want them to, his words crawl under my skin. Brody’s not his father. Victor is just messing with me because he’s a disgusting man with his own agenda, I tell myself.
“Gisele, you ready to take off?” Noah’s voice comes from behind me.
I spin around, thankful for his interruption. I just want to get out of here. How much of that did he hear? “Yes, let me just get my bag.”
“Have a nice night, dear,” Victor calls as I walk away from him. I head into the kitchen and grab my bag then meet Noah, who’s leaning against the wall talking on his phone.
“Yeah, watch him. Gotta go.” He disconnects the call and smiles at me. It’s a genuine smile. We have gotten to know each other a little over the last month, and I like him. He’s funny and loyal to his friends, enjoying being back in his hometown. I don’t know how he’s coping with both living and working in this place, it would drive me nuts, but I guess he’s just here to help out his friend for now, so staying at the hotel makes sense.
We walk in silence to my car, and when I hop in, I turn back to him. “Noah. Was that Brody you were talking to?”
He nods. “It was.”
“Can you get in my car for a second?” I ask him, needing to talk in private. I know Brody trusts him, so I’m sure I can too.
He looks over his shoulder, then comes around to the passenger side and closes the door.
“He can’t trust Victor. He’s up to something,” I whisper, feeling the tremble in my voice. He’s shaken me up. I feel sick to the stomach after that conversation with him. I don’t know what his agenda is, but I’m shaken to the core.
He looks me over, and I see the worry in his eyes. “What did I just walk in on?”
“He was accusing me of… of doing stuff with Brody. He said he was in his office just now and heard us. I tried to play it off like nothings going on, but…”
“But we both know there is, and now youre worried he does as well.”
“Yeah.” I sigh, not sure what to do. “Something not right with him. About a month ago I had a similar chat with him. There was a strange message left on my desk with a rose, and I thought maybe he did it. I don’t know, Emerson said she would sort it out and nothing ever came of it, but he creeps me out. Especially when he corners me at this time of night and says stuff like, ‘Your secret is safe with me. I’m glad he has someone to keep him company; running a place like this can be lonely.’” A shiver runs over me.Im grossed out right now.
“I heard some of what he said.”
“It’s not in my head, is it? Something odd is going on with him.”
“Yeah, I’m with you. I’ll monitor him.”
“Thank you. Sorry to bring you into it.”
“It’s my job, Gisele.” He looks me over. “Just so you know, though, Brody’s not his dad. I know what Victor was trying to imply, but he’s not. He wont get sick of you and move on. He’s got it bad for you, you don’t have to worry.”
“I know. It’s just hard when it’s all hush, hush. I just wish we could be like a normal couple. I really like him, Noah. I hate lying about it and sneaking round, especially on Emerson. She would hate me if she ever found out.”
“I’ll have a little chat with Victor, make sure he knows it’s in his best interest not to say anything. And don’t worry about Emerson. She’s a cool chick, she’ll understand. Maybe you two should talk to her.”
“I would like to, but the contract. We can’t.”
He nods and exits my car. In order to keep Brody updated, I think its important to tell him about the note. There is too much going on around here.
“Okay. I guess you’re right.”
He closes the door, offering a wave, leaving me with a heavy feeling. Guilt eats at me. I don’t like sneaking around. Sure, it can be fun, but the reality of it might just be too much. I have a sinking feeling it’s not going to matter what Noah says to Victor; he’s going to run straight to Lana with what he knows, and the Alexanders are going to lose everything because of me.
