23. Givens
GIVENS
“Come on, Decorte,” I said as I tapped her leg.
We’d left her cousin's house and were dead ass tired. Lowkey, I was happy as fuck that they all lived near each other because the drive from Corinthians’ house to hers was only five minutes.
But both she and Faylin had fallen asleep in that short amount of time. “Baby, wake up.”
Mercy didn’t move, and I knew I would have to carry her inside. I looked back to see Faylin knocked out, too. I got out of the car, put the code in the door, waited for it to beep and the locks to disengage before pushing the door open. I returned to the car and picked Faylin up to take her inside.
“Swear you forever gonna be my little girl,” I chuckled as I carried her inside the house.
The room she claimed as hers was upstairs.
Thank goodness she wasn’t heavy, and I worked out because the walk was farther than I initially thought.
Once she settled in the bed, I closed the door behind me and returned to the garage to get Mercy.
I picked up Mercy, closed the car door with my foot, and entered the house. I closed the garage door and waited to hear the lock engage before heading to Mercy’s room. Once in the room, I laid her on the bed, kicked off my slides, and climbed into the bed with her.
“Thank you, Givens,” she mumbled, then curled beside me and rested her face on my chest.
“You were faking?”I asked, then laughed.
“No, I woke up when I didn’t feel your body heat,” she mumbled. “I missed you just that fast.”
“I ain’t going nowhere, DeCorte.” I pulled her close and kissed her forehead. “What time do you have to be at the airport?”
“I have to be there by nine,” she answered, trying to fight her sleep. “I just need a few hours of sleep; then I’ll be ready.”
I checked my watch; it was a little after two a.m., meaning she could sleep for about four hours before getting up and getting ready.
The airport was about thirty minutes from her house, but she needed to eat.
Instead of having her waste her time grabbing something to eat, I’d cook her something to eat, giving her an extra thirty minutes to sleep in.
“I’ll wake you up,” I said as I stared at the ceiling.
I wasn’t tired but wasn’t about to leave her side.
Being under the same roof with my girls was the peace I didn’t know I was missing.
“You’re going to make me fall in love with you,” she said, then yawned.
“Sure am,” I chuckled. I pulled her closer, and she wrapped her arm around my waist and put her leg over mine. “But it’ll be worth it, though. I promise you that.” Instead of responding, she softly snored, and I closed my eyes.
A few hours later, I was in the kitchen making eggs, bacon and cutting up some fruit for Mercy to eat before leaving.
I’d woken her up twenty minutes ago, and even though she didn’t want to, she got up and headed to the bathroom to handle her hygiene.
I made Faylin’s plate and put it in the microwave, then made Mercy’s and took it to her room.
“Remind me to only take afternoon flights from here on out,” Mercy said, coming out of the bathroom wrapped in a towel. She looked sexy as fuck, even though I knew she was tired.
“You can sleep on the plane,” I said as I set her plate on the end table next to her bed. Mercy cut her eyes at me, and I laughed as I sat on her bed. “That look doesn’t do shit to me but make my dick hard.”
“Yeah?” she lifted her brow, then let her eyes roam over me.
“We ain’t got time for that,” I denied and shook my head.
“You think so?” she approached me and stood between my legs. My hands went to her legs, and she smiled at me. “Why are you touching me if we don’t have time for that?”
“Cuz you are too fine not to touch you,” I answered with a shrug.
“And if I take this off, do you still think we won’t have time?” Her hands went to the top of the towel, but she didn’t move to take it off.
“DeCorte, if you drop that towel, you gonna have to explain to your team why you missed your flight, and to Faylin why she heard you screaming my name because I doubt your room is soundproof.” I was talking shit like my hands weren’t moving up her leg under her towel.
All she had to do was give me the go-ahead, and I’d be balls-deep in her pussy before she could blink twice.
Instead of answering me, she moved her hands, and her towel fell to the ground.
The last time we’d had sex was almost a month ago, and I was craving her bad as fuck.
I pulled her to me by her waist and kissed her stomach.
We didn’t need words because we both knew what this was.
She pushed me back and climbed into my lap.
I could feel how hot her pussy was through my shorts, and my dick started jumping.
She grabbed my face and pulled me into a kiss that had my head spinning. The shit was crazy.
I reached between us and pulled my dick from my shorts. My shit was hard as fuck and already leaking pre-cum. Mercy pushed my hand away, lined me up to her opening, and then sat down on it. She rested her head on my shoulder and took a few deep breaths.
“Tell me when you are ready,” I said into her ear, then kissed it. She nodded, then slowly started rocking. I grabbed her waist to help her find her rhythm and had to bite into my bottom lip when I felt her pussy tighten up on my dick. “Fuck, DeCorte.”
“You gotta be quiet,” she moaned as she continued to move.
She sped up her movements, and my toes started to dig into her carpet. Her pussy felt good as fuck, probably better than it had the last time we’d been together. She wrapped her arms around my neck and buried her hands into my short hair.
“Five,” I said into her ear, then bit into her neck. I felt her whimper and smiled. She dug her nails into my scalp as she tried to stay in control, but I could feel how much her pussy was throbbing, and I knew it was a losing battle. “Four.”
“Fuck, Givens,” she moaned and moved faster. “I can't wait til one.”
“Yes, you can,” I coached her. “You can do whatever you want because you’re her.
Ain’t nobody better than you, stronger than you.
This dick is yours, baby. Can't no other woman do what you are doing. You are taking me, milking me.” I smacked her ass, then rubbed the sting away.
“I don’t ever want to hear you doubt yourself. You understand me.”
“Yes,” she moaned.
“Nah,” I said, shaking my head. I stood, turned, then lowered her onto the bed so that I was on top, then adjusted her legs to be in the bends of my arms and went to work. “When I’m fucking you, you say yes, sir. You understand.”
“Yes, sir,” she moaned as her back arched off the bed.
“Three,” I grunted as I pushed into her harder. “You too fuckin’ special to downplay yourself, DeCorte. You're too powerful to ever think that you ain’t the one. Niggas want you, bitches wanna be you. On and off the court, you are unstoppable. You hear me.”
“Yes, sir,” she panted and nodded. “Yes, sir.”
“Two,” I counted, then kissed her. Her pussy was throbbing hard as hell, but I knew she wasn’t cumming yet. She wanted to but held back until I told her it was okay to. “You ready to cum, baby?”
“No,” she said, shaking her head. I pushed into her again, and she moaned loudly. “Fuck, Givens!”
“I got you, DeCorte,” I grunted. I could feel my own nut starting to build and knew that I wouldn’t last too much longer. “You trust me, right?”
“Yes, sir,” she answered. “I trust you, Givens.”
“You know I’ll never hurt you on purpose, right?” I kissed her, then pulled back. “We locked in for life. It’s us against it all, baby. Just tell me you gon’ ride for a nigga no matter what.”
“Yes,” she moaned.
“One,” I grunted, then sped up my movements. Mercy came all over my dick, and I wasn’t too far behind her.
“NBA player, Givens Robbins, is back in hot water, it appears. News around the KC Kings camp is that the owner, Pyrite Stone, has been given an ultimatum. Either get rid of the hot head, or Javien is walking,” I read to Pryite as soon as he opened the front door.
“I read it, didn’t care then, and don’t care now,” Pyrite said as he stepped aside.
We dapped each other up as I stepped into his house and shook my head. This nigga didn’t care about shit, but one thing I never played about was somebody else’s money. I closed the door behind me and followed Pyrite to the kitchen.
“So, this shit ain’t true?” I asked as I sat on the island. Pyrite wasn’t one to mince words, so if this article was genuine, then we had some shit to work out.
“Oh yeah, it’s true,” he answered as he went back to making toast. “He’s been chomping at the bit since you yoked his ass up a few months ago over Mercy.”
“Why you didn’t say anything?”
Pyrite bit into his toast and then shrugged.
“He ain’t a big enough name for me to worry about.
His contribution to the team is a headache, and I don’t like being told what to do.
” He laughed, then took another bite of his food.
“If you think I’m playing, you better call and ask my people.
That nigga got a lot of bark and not an ounce of bite. ”
“You should’ve said something, Pyrite.”
“Why?” he laughed. “That nigga works for me. His contract is iron-tight. I made sure of it before I signed him.”
“Why?” I questioned. I knew that the Stones didn’t do shit by accident. If they had their sights set on you, it was for good damn reason. If Pyrite pulled Javien into the fold, it was because he wanted something from him.
“He owes me money,” he answered with a shrug.
“Wait, hold up,” I said, shaking my head. “You signed him to your team to pay him so he could pay you? Make it make sense.”
“Nah,” Pyrite denied. “I don’t pay him shit.” He chuckled. “Any and all money Javien makes on outside deals comes to me, per his contract.”
“Why?” I sat back in my seat and got comfortable.
“Some shit from back in the day,” he replied. “Javien’s debt goes back years, his pops owes my pops, and that nigga does not let a penny go unpaid.”
“Get the fuck outta here,” I chuckled and wiped my hand over my mouth. “That nigga pays you?”
“Every fuckin’ penny,” Pyrite said with a nod. “His pops’ debt could’ve been wiped years ago, but he got the same bad habit. The house, car, watches, clothes, all that shit he fronts over is mine. And it looks like it's time to collect.”
“You gonna have that nigga on the streets?”
“Nah,” he denied and shook his head. “Him and his daddy gonna have him in the streets. I told his ass when I signed him that I wasn’t with the bullshit.
He was supposed to keep his head down and mouth closed.
Running to the net and gossip blogs don’t do shit but piss me off.
Now he’s going to learn the hard way that fucking with a Stone is bad for your health. ”
“Ruthless,” I laughed, and again he shrugged. “But I wanted to make sure that I wasn’t causing no problems. I been working on making sure I ain’t bringing no heat to your door. This expansion with the W will be good for both our pockets.”
“And your woman,” he said, and I grinned. “Nigga, you whipped. I thought Cross was joking, but now I see it’s true.” He buttered another piece of toast and dropped it in the toaster. “You not listening worked in your favor this time, huh?”
“I think you were trying to warn me so I would go harder,” I said, and he shook his head. “Nigga, front with somebody that doesn’t know you. I see through that shit now. You and Hood kept telling me no so I would push harder.”
“I keep telling you that wasn’t my plan,” he laughed. “Mercy is like family because of Cross.”
“I know,” I said, nodding.
“And I didn’t want you to get hurt fucking with her,” he said, and I kissed my teeth. “You think that girl is calm and sweet, but I keep telling you she’s not. She hasn’t had a reason to crash out yet. That little fight a while back wasn’t shit. She can and will do damage.”
“Not my baby,” I denied, shaking my head. “Maybe that crazy one, Cross. I know she’s not wrapped too tight.”
“They come from the same bloodline,” he laughed. “But legit, keep her calm, and you’ll never be reminded that she’s a DeCorte with long money and connections out of this world.”
“Noted,” I laughed.
My phone started to ring, and I pulled it out of my pocket to see Shai’s name.
I swiped the screen, sent it to voicemail, and set it on the island.
We hadn’t spoken since I had to set her right at the arena, and I wasn’t in the mood for her shit right now.
When my phone rang again, Pyrite looked down at it and shook his head.
“Just so you know, that one has been popping up at the arena too much for my liking,” he said, pointing to the phone. “I don’t know what the fuck she’s up to, but get her together before I forget she’s Faylin’s mama.”
“What do you mean?” I asked, slightly confused. This was the first I was hearing about Shai being at the arena. “She’s been at the arena a couple of times.”
“Nah,” he denied as he started eating again. “She’s been there over the past few months. I only know because of her press access card swipes. She’s been in and out.”
“For the fuck what?”
“Don’t know, but understand that I plan to find out,” he answered.
“Nah, let me handle Shai,” I said, shaking my head. “If she is on some fuck shit, I will let you know.”
“Handle her, or I will,” he said, and I nodded. “Now that business is out the way, what the fuck you are doing here cuz I know that little ass article ain't the reason you came across town. That shit could’ve been a call.”
“I need to borrow your plane,” I said, laughing.
“Where the fuck are you going?” he reared back, then chuckled. Pyrite and his brothers owned a plane they let a few people use at their discretion. I’d only asked a few times in the past but knew that whenever I needed it, I could get it.
“I wanna take Mercy on a date,” I answered, and he smirked. “And before you say anything – yes, nigga, I know I’m fuckin’ whipped, and I’m cool with it.”
“I ain’t said shit,” he laughed as he wiped his hands on a napkin and then picked up his phone. “I just better be best man at the wedding when you lock her down officially.” He looked up at me from his phone and nodded. “And yeah, nigga, I expect that shit to happen asap.”
“If shit keeps moving like it is, I’ll be calling Yale to see what’s floating in her mind,” I said.
Yale Forrester was the only person I’d ever trust to put their hands on any jewelry I wore.
I’d been introduced to her a few years back through Pyrite’s brother, Amethyst. I didn’t know the story behind Yale and Amethyst, but I knew it was something there.
“Nothing but respect on my end, but be careful with calling her; Amethyst been on ten when her name is mentioned around him,” he laughed, then set his phone down. “The plane is ready whenever you are.”
