MERCY
“Why is he pouting?” Givens asked me as he watched Fire dramatically come into the living room. I looked over his shoulder to see Lynx trailing her husband with a pleased look. She’d texted me when they were on the way to say they’d gotten the results and Fire was being a baby. “What did she do?”
“Nothing,” I answered with a laugh. Fire dropped into the empty seat at our table and looked around. “So, you know?”
“Yeah,” he replied, crossing his arms over his chest like a big baby. “I can't believe this shit."
"Hey, everybody,” Lynx said as she joined us. She looked over at her husband and laughed loudly before shaking her head. “Stop being a baby, Fire.”
Lynx reached over to rub his arm, but he playfully moved it and shook his head. “Glo jr, we had this talk in the car. Keep your hands to yourself.”
“Alright,” she laughed, and we exchanged looks. “I like my niggas tall and brown and mixed with a little bit of ugly. They say shooters shoot-“
“Givens Robbins, what’s up with you?” I finished the lyrics, and Givens narrowed his eyes.
“You got me fucked up,” Givens laughed, and I shrugged.
“Nigga, Glo is their favorite, so you might as well get used to being disrespected with music,” Fire sighed. He looked over at his wife and shook his head. “I can't even believe you right now.”
“Fire, it's not my fault,” she laughed and rubbed her round belly. Lynx was close to seven months pregnant, and they’d finally gotten a gender scan after months of Fire swearing that she was pregnant with twin girls. “If anything, it's yours.”
“Mine?” he reared back and put his hand on his chest. “How is it mine?”
“Because men determine the sex of the baby,” she answered with a laugh.
“My girls were there; I know they were. It was your big-headed ass sons that knocked them out of the way at the last minute,” Fire said, shaking his head. “You can't tell me otherwise."
"Baby-"
"Polka dot," he said, shaking his head. “I am about to fight for your attention against four niggas!” he put up four fingers as if she didn’t know the amount. “How am I going to survive that?” He dropped his head onto the table and sobbed. “My sons gonna have all your attention, and I’m going to suffer!”
“Shut up, Fire,” she laughed and pushed his shoulder. “You will get the same attention as you do now.”
“And that’s not even enough!” he whined. “I need all your attention, Polka dot!”
“Your parents and sister have already volunteered to babysit whenever we need them to,” she said, and he lifted his head from the table and twisted his lips. “Plus, my mama said she’d watch them, too.”
“Puma don’t even live here.”
“She’s moving back, she told me this morning,” she sighed. “That’s four people to keep the kids. We will be fine.”
“I think we need more,” he said, shaking his head. He looked around and then started laughing. “Xoey can help.”
“It’s like twelve people that live in her head,” I said before stopping. Everyone at the table started laughing, and I shrugged.
“My nigga, that’s the point,” Fire said as he stood. “Let me go talk to her because I know at least two voices like kids.” He dropped a kiss on Lynx’s forehead and then walked away.
“Ummm, you’re not worried?” Givens asked Lynx, and she shook her head. “Why not?”
“Because she’s harmless,” Lynx said as she stood.
Givens’ face twisted in confusion and we both laughed.
“I’m married to Fire Carlson, baby, ain’t nothing more crazier than him, and ain’t shit in this world that scares me because of it.
Trust me when I say this. All Xoey needs is a man to sit her ass down, and all those voices in her head will chill the fuck out. ”
We laughed and joked with different family members and friends for the rest of the night.
I could tell at times that Givens was overwhelmed, but he had a good time.
I checked the time on my phone and saw that it was a little after midnight, and we needed to get home.
I was tired and ready to crawl into bed with Givens.
We got up from the table, said our rounds, making sure we spoke to Focus and Mahogany, thanked them for having us, and left.
“Breathe, Givens,” I whispered into his ear as I rode him. His grip tightened on my waist, and I knew that he was fighting not to nut. “Come on, Daddy, you can do it.”
“I swear I’ma knock your ass out, DeCorte,” he groaned as he flipped me over. My back hit the bed, and I arched as he pushed into me. “That shit you be trying to pull would break a weaker nigga.”
“Good thing you’re not one, huh?” I laughed as I wrapped my hand around his neck and squeezed. “Fuck!”
“Nah, ain’t shit weak about me,” he taunted as he sped up his thrusts.
That same breath I told him to take logged into my chest, and I whimpered.
This man was trying to prove every point in the world, and I knew it, but I didn’t care because of the way he had me feeling.
“Oh, you ain’t got shit to say now, huh? ”
I moaned his name, and all he did was laugh in response. He reached between our bodies and pressed his thumb into my clit. My eyes rolled into the back of my head, and I knew I wouldn’t last until the countdown. The pressure of his touch and my piercing had my head swimming.
“You wetting my dick up, baby,” he said as he pushed into me. “You gonna be a good girl?”
“Yes!” I moaned.
“Shut up, DeCorte; I’m trying to hear my girl talk to me.
” He sat up, resting his weight on his knees and pushing my right leg up until my knee was damn near touching my shoulder.
“Look at my girl, you missed daddy, didn’t you.
” He slowly stroked my pussy and talked to it.
“You wore your best jewelry and everything, so show out.”
“Givens, start counting!” I moaned and shook my head from side to side. “Please.”
“Nah,” he replied. “You be thinking that shit you pull is funny.” He sped up his thrust. “A nigga supposed to talk his woman through it, and your goofy ass be trying that shit with me.”
“I’m sorry,” I panted.
“No, you ain’t.” he tapped my clit a few times, then laughed. “I already know you ain’t sorry cuz as soon as I let your ass back in control, you do it again. Why?”
“I don’t know,” I answered.
“Yes, the fuck you do,” he said, then pushed my other leg up. When he pushed into me harder, my pussy started to spasm from the pleasure. “Now answer my question. Why the fuck you keep tryin’ my ass.”
“Cuz I love you,” I panted. “I fuckin’ love you.”
“Now, was that so hard to say?” He chuckled and then kissed me. “Five.”
“Say one!” I whined as he moved faster. His dick was sitting on my G-spot every time he entered me, and I felt my head starting to get hot.
“Four,” he said, moving faster. My toes started to curl, and he kissed my ankle. “All you had to do was say ‘I love you, Givens,’ and I would’ve taken it easy on your ass, but no, you wanna be tough.”
“I’m sorry.”
“You ain’t sorry enough to never do it again,” he replied, then kissed my other ankle. “Are you?”
“No,” I answered and shook my head. “No.”
“I know,” he grunted. “Which is why I’ma have to marry your ass.” He lowered my legs and wrapped them around his waist. “Three.” He stared down at me and smiled. “You cool with that?”
“What?” I panted, and he started moving fast. “Givens, wait!” My back arched off the bed, and my legs began to shake.
“Nah, ain’t no wait,” he said, shaking his head. “We locked in for life, right?”
“Right,” I moaned.
“Then marry me,” he replied. “We can do this shit for life, no questions asked. We can raise our family, dominate in ball, and have more kids when ready. This is our shit, DeCorte; this is our hoop session. Two.”
“Givens,” I whined as my orgasm started to build. “Say one!”
“Say yes,” he countered.
“Yes!” I screamed.
“One,” he said, then kissed me as we both orgasmed.
