Chapter 14
FOURTEEN
Posydiann
Had a nigga told me I’d be married right now months ago, I would have told him he was off the strongest dope.
I married the one person who completed me in ways I didn’t understand a day after I stormed her wedding.
I didn’t regret a damn thing about it either.
I felt like I was less than a human the entire time me and Syn weren’t together, like I was off orbit.
Though it took me entirely too fucking long to figure out how to tackle the fact that she wasn’t anything I could live without.
She was vital to my existence like the air I breathed every day.
“You’re married now. Couldn’t even throw you a nasty ass bachelor party, niggas take the fun out of everything.” Killah walked up on me with a big grin.
“Damn, my bad for inconveniencing you.” My hand went to my chest as my eyes went over to Syn.
I couldn’t stop looking at her. My baby was simply breathtaking.
She had always been that, but now, in a different light, she was more radiant.
She was on the other side of the tent talking to her friends and laughing.
She was happy, which also made me happy. Her joy was mine, as well as her pain.
“Aight so, consider this your wedding gift.” Killah extended his hand with an envelope in it.
I set the glass down on the tall table next to me and accepted the envelope. I opened it and became confused, then I read it fully. It was a flight manifest to Saint Lucia and the reservation for a villa.
“Yo, you di—”
“I did, because nigga, you need a vacation and you owe Sis a honeymoon. All this shit we’re dealing with will be here when you get back.
I got this, you need a minute. Things have been back-to-back for too long.
And you can’t say no, because your stuff is already packed, so is Sis’s.
Junnie handled that too. Y’all leave at nine, so yeah, we’re gonna start wrapping this up soon, I got the house and Junior. ”
I nodded, my eyes scanning the space. Everything was decked out all thanks to Junnie. She had more than made up for telling Syn to do what was best for her.
“Junnie did her shit, huh?”
“Sure did. And she still ain’t stopped moving.” Killah sipped from the glass in his hand.
“Shorty earned a couple dollars.” I laughed.
“Hell yeah. Nigga, you went from storming a wedding to saying I do. How does it feel?”
“Like time stood still long enough for me to see where I went wrong and gave me the chance to try to fix it.”
“That’s poetic. You already got the I do, nigga, yeen gotta be over here spitting lyrics.” Iso’s voice made me laugh.
“Nah, bro. I’m trying to be like you when I grow up. Married with three point five of them,” I joked, knowing damn well I was already wrapping my head around the one she was carrying. I hadn’t had a baby since Junior was a baby, and at that point, I was a baby.
He laughed, and so did Killah. We conversed for a while, cracking jokes and catching up before Iso had to jet and I was headed toward my wife. I already knew it was about time for us to be cutting out, but I wondered if she knew.
She looked up and saw me coming her way, the most angelic smile filling her features.
“Hello, Husband,” she greeted me as soon as I took a seat across from her.
“What’s up, beautiful. You heard about the plans in about thirty minutes?” I asked, cutting my attention between her and my watch.
“Yes, I did. Are you ready?”
“To get you alone on somebody’s island? Hell yeah. “ I leaned forward, further into her space.
I was seconds from kissing her when I heard someone clear their throat, then Junnie’s voice.
“I know you all are ready to get into those married festivities, but can we get a few pictures first? Then we need you to throw the bouquet before your ride arrives.”
We did just that, snapping images with everybody.
I could’ve sworn I wanted this motherfucker to be small, but before I knew it, the whole hood showed up.
Everybody present to witness some shit many didn’t think would ever happen.
I married the love of my life with the whole Watertown as my witness.
A little bit later, I stood back, watching all the women line up to catch the bouquet. Apparently that was a big thing for women.
“Ready set. On Three. One…”
“This is a big thing to them, superstitions and shit like that.” A male voice made me look to my side away from the debacle ahead.
I laughed. “Dead ass.”
“I think it’s time we formally meet.” He extended his hand. “Hondo Carter, my wife is good friends with Karsyn.”
I shook his hand. “Posydiann Murphy.”
“No introduction necessary. Your name precedes you and not only because you walked in that venue yesterday.” He chuckled.
“You gotta do what you gotta do.”
“That I can respect. I’d like to discuss a potential business proposition. After the wedding festivities of course.” He nodded toward the crowd of women. They were loud and seconds from turning into linebackers over that damn bouquet.
I nodded. “That’s straight.”
“I’ll be in touch. It was nice meeting you, and again, congratulations on your nuptials.”
“Preciate it, bro.”
Just as he walked off, Karsyn tossed the bouquet. It was airborne for about five seconds before it landed on ol’ girl with purple hair. Amethyst, I think.
When she caught it, she did a lil dance, happy as hell. I stood there for a few minutes taking in the festivities before Junnie was pointing to her watch and ushering me and Karsyn to the car. We said our final goodbyes, then we were off.
“I love you so much,” she said, nuzzling into my chest.
“I love you too.” I turned her face to mine, shoving my tongue down her throat. We couldn’t get to a place where we were alone fast enough. There was too much material between us.
“You did good, even though Junnie did all of the work,” she said after we finally parted.
I laughed. “I’ma pay for it. When we get home, there will be a hefty bill waiting.”
She joined in on the laughter. “You’re absolutely right and she’s worth every penny and some.”
I grew quiet for a moment, my eyes outside the car as we went toward the airport. Unc was supposed to be here. He had been there through all my trials as a youngin, so the fact he wasn’t here to watch me have my shit together messed me up.
“What’s wrong?” Her voice interrupted my thoughts.
“I was thinking about Unc. It’s fucking me up that he isn’t here.”
“I know and I’m sorry you have to carry that, that you’re without him.”
I reached down and gripped her chin, making her look up at me. “You don’t have anything to be sorry for, Syn. You didn’t do that shit. He’ll answer for it in due time. Right now all I wanna focus on is me and you.”
I sat back against the pool watching the sun set.
Everything about this particular moment was necessary.
Killah was right, I needed to see the beauty in things to understand why some things in the worst ways were necessary.
Life had to be experienced after so much fucking loss, and what I hated the most was more life had to be lost. The game didn’t stop because I was on my honeymoon or off the grid.
Over the last few days, Karsyn and I had done things I swore I’d never do while enjoying one another’s company.
We went from swimming with the turtles to chocolate making, couples massages, and even a scenic boat tour around the Pitons.
Now we were on our last night, and the rest was much needed.
My phone rang, interrupting my thoughts. When I glanced down at the number, I knew it mentally. Nobody skated from this free, not even the motherfucker who played the smallest roles.
“What’s up, boss?” Oren, one of my most loyal lieutenants, greeted me.
“Shit, can’t call it. Have you been good?”
“Real good. Killah said you needed me to put in some overtime at the hall.”
“Yeah, that’s right. Clean up after the party. NorthPark some shit. Clean it up for the next.”
“Aight bet. Was it a messy one or did they keep it clean?”
“Messy as fuck.”
He laughed, knowing exactly what I was requesting. “You got it. And congratulations on your nuptials. I heard the festivities were nice. I’m tryna be just like you, boss.”
“Yeah, it was something…” My sentence trailed off when Karsyn walked out of the villa in a two-piece suit barely covering any fucking thing. I was grateful it was only her and me in this villa because not a damn thing she was wearing would have made it out of the bedroom.
“But I got you, boss. I’ll have it handled before you get home.”
“Good look.”
We hung up a few seconds later, with me setting the phone in the dry area near the pool. My eyes relished the peach-colored suit and how it complemented her skin.
“I just requested dinner to be delivered,” she said, stepping into the shallow side of the pool and sitting on the edge with those thick ass thighs wide open, inviting me in.
I nodded, pushing off the back of the pool, going toward her.
“I can’t believe we’ve been here four days already. You have to bring me back here at some point.”
“After everything dies down, I will. Might have to bring Junior though.”
She giggled. “That’s fine too. We could have a family vacation.”
“As long as everybody is in their own space. I like having you to myself, barely clothed.”
She shook her head.
A brief silence filled the space before I broke it, knowing what we needed to discuss. “When we get home, things may get a little hectic for a minute, but it’ll blow over.”
She was quiet for a moment, looking off at the sunset. “My father.”
“Gotta die, Syn.”
She giggled softly. “I figured that much. You don’t put as much bad in the world as he does and walk away easily. Nothing he does is in the name of survival, but instead selfish intentions and disdain for others.”
I nodded, pushing her legs apart.
“Just make sure none of what needs to blow over swallows you. You don’t storm my wedding, marry me, then take yourself away from me. I need you, Psy… we need you.”
“That’s it? Nothing about me killing your father?”
“Do you remember the first night we met officially?” she asked.
I nodded. How could I forget? I sent a nigga into his final rest for her.
“You saved me. You never claimed to be perfect or some God. You were just yourself, showing me your heart while also telling me to stay away from you. You have always been authentically you and I fell in love with that. Not some facade or pretense. You’re you.
So, that is it, because I love you unconditionally, regardless of anything. ”
“Say it again.”
She smiled widely. “I love you unconditionally, Posydiann Murphy.”
“Good, then I guess you aren’t gonna give me any lip about my next request?” I stepped between her legs, now playing with the thin swimsuit material.
She shifted forward, her pussy right where I needed it. “I’m listening.”
“When we get back to The States, I want you to move in with me and Junior. We’ll turn one of the spare bedrooms into your at home studio and start getting the nursery together as well.”
“That doesn’t sound like a request, husband.” She lifted her leg just as I got the bikini untied. I was looking at my favorite place.
“Then what does it sound like?” I leaned forward, her essence pulling me into her.
“Something you can earn, right here right now.”
She didn’t have to tell me twice.
“Bet.” I maneuvered her body closer to the edge and lowered my head. She was already wet for me.
“You’re wet as fuck, mama.”
I pushed my face further between her legs, hunger instantly filling my being. I licked at her swollen nub slowly and methodical, sure to make sure she felt me. Then I nibbled, zeroing in on it several times as her hands found my head.
“Psy,” she moaned, egging me to keep going.
My face was buried between her legs until I had her cumming so hard the shaking of her legs created my own personal earthquakes on both sides of my head.
When I finally came up for air, I could’ve sworn I had a contact high from the way her essence surrounded me.
Everything about this woman did something to me.
She was out of breath when I stood up fully, looking her over. She was so beautiful sitting there, a thin layer of sweat covering her supple skin.
I leaned down and picked her up, pulling her body into the water with me.
“Psy!” she shrieked, wrapping her legs around my waist, not daring to push back.
I didn’t give her the chance to say anything else, trapping her between the pool wall and my body. I mashed my lips into hers, claiming her tongue as mine.
I filled her seconds later, thrusting into her as deep as I could. As deep as I was owed.
Her nails were buried in my back and I dove into her in the most slow and meticulous rhythm, torturing us both because I was home, nothing would ever take me away from this again. This moment was more than physical. I was making love to my wife in front of the Pitons in the middle of Saint Lucia.
“Psy, I feel you,” she moaned before she bit into my neck.
“Good, now tell me how much you love me again,” I demanded, never missing a thrust.
“I love you unconditionally. You and—"
I hit her so deep, she had to pause. Her mouth was wide open, begging for me to cease it again.
“Me and what?” I asked, pressing my lips against her jawline, feeling her body begin to quake. She was about to cum again.
“You and only you,” she nearly screamed, pushing her face into my neck as her body gave in.
She came so hard she bit me again, her body rocking roughly against mine, creating waves in the pool as I met her every time, pushing her tender body higher and higher until she was cumming once again.
I came hard as fuck inside of her. Had she not already been pregnant, she would have been tonight.
