Forced to Marry into a Mafia Family 3: The Finale

Chapter One- Dior

One month and two weeks after the shooting

I stood in front of the full-length mirror as I buttoned the black shirt.

Taking my time, I adjusted the knee-length fitted black skirt.

Running my fingers through the curls in my hair, I felt the urge to cry, but I knew I had to keep it together.

I exhaled softly, giving myself a final look of approval before I turned to walk out of the bedroom I once shared with Buddha.

I headed straight out of the front door and paused.

I took in the beautiful scenery of the front yard before my eyes settled on Buddha sitting on the steps, smoking a cigarette.

His long-sleeved black shirt was rolled up to his elbows, and his black dress pants weren’t even ironed, no matter how much I begged him to let me iron out the creases.

He refused, saying it wasn’t a wedding we were attending.

His face was filled with unkempt facial hair; the hair on his head was probably matted in the middle because he hadn’t brushed it in weeks. He no longer took time to groom himself. Everything was falling apart.

Taking a deep breath, I put on a brave face as I got ready to approach him, even though I really didn’t want to. His back was facing me, but I knew he heard as I walked toward him; he just chose to ignore it.

“Are you ready? Do we take the Bugatti, or do you want me to drive my Mercedes?” I asked him, waiting for him to at least turn to address me properly. No such luck; with his back still turned, he placed the cigarette to his lips and inhaled.

“Who gives a fuck,” his answer made me close my eyes briefly. I knew he was mad; I knew he was bitter, but I hated that I was the one he took his frustrations out on.

“I’ll get the keys to my Mercedes,” I mumbled under my breath as I turned and walked into the house.

Instead of grabbing the keys and making my way back outside.

I stood with the key in my hand and stayed in that spot.

I looked at where Lotus would be if she were still alive.

I had gotten rid of her automatic feeder and water fountain before Buddha was discharged from the hospital.

I left the bed she slept in for Buddha to decide what he wanted to do with it.

He had it custom-made just for her so she wouldn’t want to climb in his bed.

I had gotten a new vehicle because the Porsche couldn’t be kept, as it was considered evidence.

Victoria had someone get rid of it, scrapped it, and burned it.

This past month had been so hard; I had no idea how I managed to survive.

Instead of going outside to meet up with Buddha, I decided to sit for a couple of minutes in the living room.

Taking a seat on the sofa, I put my head back and closed my eyes.

The night I called Buddha’s phone, the officer informed me that he had been shot. That was the scariest thing I’d ever experienced. Running to Sofia’s house to tell her that both her brothers and father had been shot turned out to be insane.

Firstly, I accidentally found out that Rocki’s sex was the complete opposite of what everyone believed. Secondly, seeing Victoria with a gun in her damn hand nearly made me shit on myself. Even though she didn’t have the weapon pointed at me, it was enough to make my knees knock nonetheless.

That night everything was like a tornado of emotions, and it seemed like a million things were happening all at once.

After Victoria fainted, Sofia and I had no choice but to revive her.

I made sure to put her gun away, so when she woke up, it was nowhere around.

While I was busy slapping Victoria lightly on her face.

Sofia was in my fucking ear telling me I couldn’t speak about Rocki and what I saw.

At the time, the last thing on my mind was why in the actual fuck, Sofia was passing her daughter off as a boy.

I told her it wasn’t my business what she did with her child and left it at that.

When Victoria finally woke up, the first thing I needed to know was why the hell she had a gun in her hand as she walked toward me.

She explained that she saw me enter the house; apparently she was in the kitchen, and I hadn’t seen her.

When she saw me racing toward the bathroom, she knew I would accidentally find out the truth about Rocki.

She picked up her gun to scare me into not revealing what I saw.

Now, did I actually believe she wouldn’t have shot me? I can’t say for certain; Victoria was a fucking lunatic if I’d never seen one. I had no choice but to trust her and what she said.

Once she got herself together, she asked me to explain what happened with the men.

I told her what I knew from what the officer told me.

That all three men had been shot, I had no further details about exactly what happened.

I was given the name of the hospital they were transported to, and we all decided to leave immediately.

Sofia called Yusef to ask if he could come stay at her house with Rocki. I still believed Yusef was Rocki’s father, but I couldn’t get the solid proof I needed. Once he arrived, the three of us headed to the hospital to find out if our men were ok.

While we drove to the hospital, Victoria never got off her phone.

She made various phone calls to have Lorenzo’s body moved.

She knew someone who owned a funeral home, so she called in a favor to have them come take Lorenzo from my trunk and keep him at the funeral home until it was decided what to do.

Shit, she even told them to take Lotus and put the dog inside the incinerator.

Then instructions were given to get rid of my Porsche because it was evidence the police couldn’t get their hands on.

I almost cried hearing those words. I literally had just gotten that car.

When she got off the phone, she assured me that by the time we got back from the hospital, it would look as though nothing ever happened.

As we got to the ward, we were told all three men were placed in the same room. There were so many officers around as soon as we got out of the elevator that I began to panic. Victoria grabbed my hand, forcing me to stop.

“Let me do all the talking. Don’t say anything except that Buddha is your husband.

Do you understand me?” I nodded my head vigorously, letting her know I heard her loud and clear.

Sofia and I walked behind Victoria as she made her way to the officers standing guard at the entrance to the hospital room.

“I need to see my husband and sons,” she said to the officer who took a good look at her from head to toe. He then looked at Sofia and me slowly before signaling to a doctor at the nurses' station.

“Your husband, I’m guessing, is Mr. Tomasso Ricci,” the officer asked Victoria.

“That’s correct,” Victoria answered with her head held high.

“Mrs. Ricci, do you know what your husband was doing in that warehouse with your sons and a Russian named Ivan Petrov?” The officer asked.

“Yes,” I tried to hide my shock at Victoria’s confession.

“My sons were there with their father to purchase Ivan’s warehouse.

He’s returning to Russia and wanted to sell his assets.

My boys were there on business; I don’t know what could have happened,” Victoria said, even managing to start crying.

I stood there taking mental notes, because she was good.

“As soon as either of those men wakes up, we’ll need to take their statements because something about this isn’t right. We’re keeping a close eye on things. You have a good day.”

“I understand, officer. Anything we can do to help, we’ll be happy to co-operate,” Victoria lied with a straight face. The officer gave her a look as though he knew she was full of shit before he walked off with his colleagues.

Now it was just the doctor and us. He had a really grim look on his face as he stood blocking the doorway.

“I’m Dr. Purcell. You’re Mrs. Ricci, and everyone here is family?” He asked, looking at me and Sofia. We nodded our heads.

“How are my husband and my sons?” Victoria asked, her voice cracked with emotion.

“First off, let me start by saying your sons and husband were very lucky.

They were all wearing bulletproof vests that saved them from having extensive injuries.

All three of them did manage to still get shot in places not protected by the vests.

Vincent was shot in the back of his right thigh, just under his buttocks.

A bullet also pierced straight through his elbow.

Phillipe was shot in the left shoulder and right calf.

The doctor paused, then took off his glasses.

“Why did you stop? Is my husband alright?”

“Unfortunately, the senior Ricci was not as lucky as his sons.”

“Oh no, daddy,” Sofia whimpered, grabbing my hand as tears formed in her eyes. I heard Victoria take a deep breath as she looked the doctor right in the eyes.

“What happened?”

“Tomasso Ricci, even though he wore the vest, a bullet did manage to hit the side of his stomach. We believe the trauma of being shot caused him to have a stroke. He was placed in a medically induced coma. This is to aid Mr. Ricci in his recovery, with the hope of preventing further strokes. Your husband needs all the rest he can get. Just so you all know, they aren’t responsive; they’re knocked out from the anesthesia from the surgery they had to remove the bullets.

You all are free to go in; I’m right out here if you have any questions,” Dr. Purcell said with a tight smile before he walked away.

“Victoria, are you alright?” I reached out and gently touched her shoulder.
