Chapter Thirteen- Buddha #2

“That was all, Francesco. That stupid mothafucka don’t ever listen.

He did that, even though I told him not to.

He was supposed to get the diamonds, and then you were supposed to start putting two and two together from the seed I planted in your head.

You were supposed to realize that Edwardo and Francesco were plotting against Tomasso, and then you took them out.

Everything was supposed to be so fucking simple.

But Francesco was such a stupid, cocky, arrogant mothafucka!

He ruined it all, him and his snotty-nosed rapist of a son,” I couldn’t believe what I was hearing.

Catalina was the master mind behind all of this all the fucking time. Someone I hadn’t seen in fucking years came up with a diabolical plan like this. I didn’t know if I should be impressed or scared of this bitch.

“Where’s Luca? Were you also involved in the killing of my friend Lorenzo and my dog?”

“What? No, I never knew anything about that. What the fuck did your dog ever do to me? Again, that was all Francesco, well, more like Luca. He’s a sleazy bastard, Luca.

I know he came right back here to the U.S.

When you least expect it, he’ll show up…

kinda like me,” she finished her sentence with a smile.

I looked at Enzo, and from the way he looked, I could tell he was worried about what would happen to his mother.

Catalina said a mouthful, but guess what?

I had no way of fucking knowing if anything she said was the truth or not.

For all I knew, she had me, Snow, and Tomasso shot that day at the warehouse.

Then, all she had to do was put Edwardo and Francesco against each other because she knew Francesco was in love with her.

In the end, both men would have no doubt ended up dead, and she would have still remained with everything, the black diamonds and Edwardo’s hidden stash of money that she returned for.

One thing I learned in this business of crime, dangerous women are way worse than dangerous men. I lifted my shirt so I could put my gun away as I looked back at Yelena’s men.

“Enzo, why don’t you get the suitcase with money. I want you and your mother to have it, so you two can start a new life together. I want you to promise Catalina that you will never come back here.” I said, looking at Enzo, making sure he was out of harm’s way.

Smiling, Catalina dropped both her arms, happy that all of her lying and scheming seemed to work; she was about to be free despite all the mayhem she caused. I looked back at the Russians and nodded my head, moving out of the way.

Pow, pow, pow, pow, pow.

“Nooooooo! Mamma!” Enzo screamed at the top of his lungs, he dropped the suitcase, and raced over to his mother and cradled her limp body.

It was pretty fucked up that Enzo had to witness his mother get shot in front of him, but this was the life she chose when she decided to do all the sneaky shit she did.

“I will tell Yelena, your part of the deal is done. She will contact you. It’s time to make it to my daughter’s birthday party.

I’m supposed to dress up as the clown.” I frowned as I watched the Russians make their way out of the front door just as Snow came rushing in.

Imagine killing people all damn day, and then leave for your daughter’s birthday party to dress up as a clown to play with other children. That was fucking insane.

Snow came and stood next to me; we both watched Enzo as he cried, cradling his mother’s head in his hands. As sad as this scene was, we needed to leave, and so did Enzo.

“Aye, you need to go. We’ll send people to clean this place up and dispose of your mother’s body.

The suitcase with the money is all yours.

I’m not sure where you’ll go, but you’ll need to figure it out.

” I wasn’t even trying to be cold or heartless with the way I spoke.

Enzo looked up at me with tears running freely from his eyes.

“You promised me that you wouldn’t hurt my mother. She wasn’t a bad person; she just wanted me to be treated with respect. She wasn’t bad; she wasn’t a bad person.” Enzo wailed, rocking back and forth, hugging Catalina’s dead body to his chest.

“I never hurt your mother; the Russians did. You have exactly one hour to clear out of here. When I send my crew to sweep this house, and you’re still here.

You will be removed the same way as these dead bodies.

Please don’t let me have a teenage boy’s body on my head, Enzo,” I told him as I got prepared to leave.

Enzo’s eyes narrowed as he looked at me.

I could see the anger and hate he had for me, but really, this was nobody’s fault but his own mother's.

“We gotta go,” Snow said, patting my chest twice. I nodded my head and began walking toward the front door with my brother.

“Remember, Enzo, you only have one hour,” I said, looking over my shoulder before I disappeared.

“Where’s the suitcase with the money?” Angel asked, sticking her head out from the Rolls Royce. Both Snow and I looked at her as if she were a mental patient.

“Where are you going now?” Snow asked as I walked over to my Bugatti. I smiled wide as fuck at my brother as I opened the door.

“I got one more person to pay a visit before I go see Dior in the hospital.”
