Chapter Eleven- Buddha #3

“You two hard-headed mothafuckas think this is a joke? You two think this is a game?” Tomasso said, reaching into his pants pocket.

He pulled out a small, white, folded envelope.

“Edwardo has been wanting to go to war with this family, and you two just gave him a reason.

Yes, I'm blaming you also, Buddha, because you knew and said nothing.”

Opening the envelope, Tomasso dropped four 9mm bullets in the palm of his hand.

“This was dropped off at the laundromat today, along with a note that said; tell Snow stay away from my daughter. Four bullets, Vincent, Phillipe, my name…” my father read the names engraved on each bullet until he reached the last one. He held it in the air, just staring at it.

“Sofia?” I said my sister’s name, believing the last bullet had her name written.

“No, your mother’s. Edwardo is threatening to kill my wife, and that’s where I draw the line.

It’s one thing to say you’re going to end the life of my sons, but my wife.

You fucked up by what you did, Snow. Nobody threatens the life of my wife.

” Tomasso said, dropping the bullets on the floor before he turned to leave.

I signaled for Lorenzo to go with him so he wouldn’t drive back to the main house alone. Ciara appeared suddenly, a gloomy expression on her face as she stared at Snow.

“So, I was right. You have been cheating on me,” She said, folding her arms, waiting for Snow to say something. It was pretty obvious she overheard everything we said because we were so loud.

“Not now, Ciara,” Snow replied, picking the bullets up from the floor. He inspected them one by one as I stood and looked at him. I felt an overwhelming sense of frustration because I was just fucking tired.

“When this deal with Francesco and the Russians is over, I’m done. I want out. I want nothing to do with you, with Tomasso… nobody. The situation that you created with Edwardo, you deal with it. I’m fucking good on everybody.” I knew it was my anger talking

“Then why the fuck are you still here. Get the fuck out my house nigga,” Snow said, tossing one of the bullets at me.

Without even meaning to, I caught it, looking at it, I shook my head.

It was the bullet that had my name on it.

Rubbing my forehead, I shoved the bullet in my pocket before I turned to leave.

I walked past Ciara, hoping she would say some shit so I could use that as an excuse to go off on her.

She was smart and kept her mouth shut. As I walked out of the house, I heard Ciara as she started yelling at my brother, demanding to know how long he had been cheating on her.

My entire body felt so drained as I sat behind the wheel of my car. As I drove toward the main house, I got this very weird feeling in the pit of my stomach. I wasn’t sure what it was, but it felt like something bad was going to happen and soon.

I hope Dior was ready for later tonight, because I was going to bury my dick inside of her until the sun came up. My stress was going to be relieved one way or another.

*****

I stood wearing my chest wader, exactly what fishermen wear when they’re out at sea.

It was made of heavy polyvinyl chloride.

It would be easy to clean if blood and fish guts got on it.

On my face was a clear pair of goggles. I had a baseball hat on my head to protect my hair from anything that may come flying toward me.

The last thing I needed was blood in my hair.

“Wake his ass up,” I commanded Lorenzo. I looked down at my black rubber boots as I heard Lorenzo slapping his face.

“Mmmm,” he groaned as he opened his eyes, looking around confused. The chloroform used to knock him out had him groggy and out of it. When his eyes found me, his memory came back real mothafucking quick.

I looked at this stupid mothafucka and wanted nothing more than to put a bullet through his skull, ending his life quickly, and get it over with. However, because of his stupidity, he had to pay dearly and very slowly for what he did.

“Wakey, wakey sleepyhead,” I said with an eerie smile on my face. Jeremy’s head began spinning around, wondering where he was. He looked from Lorenzo, then back to me. He began to wriggle around on the ground like a worm, fighting against the restraints on his wrists and ankles.

I watched him, amused at the way he struggled.

It had been so easy to capture him. Three days were all it took after he threatened Dior.

I found his goofy ass in three days. Lorenzo and I worked tirelessly, tracking his movements, watching him, and following him.

Until the time was right, we did exactly what he did to Dior.

I sat in the backseat of his car and waited for him to get behind the wheel.

Then I placed a gun to his temple, I wanted him to know who was responsible for his ass about to be kidnapped.

Then, using the cloth soaked in chloroform, I placed it over his mouth for about five minutes until he stopped squirming.

Lorenzo bundled him in the back of his SUV, tying his wrists and ankles with tie straps. Now, here we were in my pig pen with all these fat, hungry mothafuckas.

“What the fuck! What the fuck is this?” Jeremy asked, his tone more scared than curious about his location. He looked at the sleeping pigs and became even more agitated.

“This, my good man, is what you’ve been wanting to know. You’ve been asking about your brother, so I’m here to give you the answer. But first, I want you to look at these and pick one,” I pointed at my feet and the three different instruments that lay on the floor.

Jeremy eyed the chainsaw, a mallet, and a pair of pliers. I smiled, enjoying the way his eyes grew wider and wider.

“Go on, pick one,” I encouraged him, pointing at the objects.

Of course, he didn’t say anything; he just stared at me like the lunatic I was.

“Lorenzo, since it seems like a cat got Jermey’s tongue.

Why don’t you pick for him?” I said, pointing at Lorenzo.

Smiling, he stepped forward in front of the items I was about to use to torture Jermey with and chose the pliers.

“I pick that one.”

“This is an excellent choice!” I exclaimed, bending to pick up the pliers from the cloth they rested on. “Sit him up, Lorenzo.”

I walked over to where Jeremy was, as Lorenzo roughly placed him upright.

“Look, man, I just wanted to know where my brother was. I know he was here, and I know you did something to him. All I wanted to know was where I could find his body because I already know he’s gone.

I wanted my brother to have a proper funeral, and you couldn’t even give me that,” Jeremy choked up as he explained himself.

I studied him intently, and I could understand his need to know what had happened to his brother.

Shit, Snow was annoying as a mothafucka, but if he went missing, I’d turn the whole world upside down until I found him.

“It’s really admirable that you love your brother so much, and I get it. I have a brother that I love too on most days when he’s not getting on my mothafucking nerves. When you approached me in that gas station, I let it go. When you showed up with the police a few weeks ago, I let that go.

“You know what I’m not willing to let go, Jeremy? Is you putting a gun to my wife’s head, saying that you would blow her brains out? Nah, I’m not about to let that shit go. That was very, very disrespectful of you,” I wagged the pliers at him.

“I was just trying to scare her so she would go back to you and convince you to tell me where my brother is. That’s it, that’s all. The gun wasn’t even loaded, I swear to you.” Jeremy’s explanation didn’t do a thing for me. It just annoyed me further.

“Do you know I would have been willing to let everything go, just let shit slide? You fucked up when you went after my wife; she has nothing to do with the things I do. You should have left her out of it, but instead, you threatened her life. Now, how in the actual fuck do you expect me to let something like that slide?” With no warning, I bent and grabbed his face, squeezing his cheeks until he opened his mouth.

Jeremy screamed and hollered as I placed the pliers in his mouth and yanked, twisted, and pulled until one of his front teeth was now between the pliers. I ignored his screams of pain as I held the tooth to my face and examined it.

“I’m no dentist, but it looks like you take very good care of your teeth,” I told him, tossing the teeth on the floor.

“Fuckkkkkk,” Jeremy yelled, blood mixed with saliva dribbling out of his open mouth.

He writhed in pain as blood poured out of his mouth like a river.

“I’m sorry, man, I just wanted my brother.

I just wanted to find him,” Jeremy said the best that he could through all the pain he was in and the blood running from his open wound.

I didn’t feel a thing; his cries and his pleas fell on deaf ears. I was blinded by rage and revenge. The gloves on my hands were covered in blood. Dropping the pliers on the ground, I walked back to the mallet and the chainsaw. I picked up the mallet and held it, resting casually on my shoulder.

“Your brother, so you want me to tell you where your brother is? First, let me ask this. What hand did you use to point the gun at my wife’s head?”

“Please, I told you the gun wasn’t even loaded. I just wanted to send a message to you, that’s all,” Jeremy sputtered out. I could tell the pain he was feeling was slowly draining his energy.

“That’s not what I asked, Jeremy. Hey, wake the fuck up,” I bent and slapped his face when he started to lose consciousness. He opened his eyes and looked at me.

“Maybe we should dash some water on him, boss,” Lorenzo said, tilting his head as he took a good look at Jeremy.

“Na, he’ll be alright, won't you, Jeremy?”

“Please, I need a doctor,” he said, his head rolling around in a lifeless manner. I laughed at him saying he needed a doctor, like that was about to happen.
