Ellisandre
“I am going to take you, Sevastyan Sollunae, if you consent, here in this bed, with your slaves as witness.”
“I consent.”
It slid into focus then, the truth of the place in which they stood. The place in which Sevastyan had stood for years.
All consent existed between Sevastyan and themselves. And none between them and Rei and Lisa. They could no more revoke consent than give it. And yet it was not so simple.
Ellisandre kissed Sevastyan hard. There was no such thing as free will. There was always pressure, always leverage.
But Sevastyan was their chosen. They marked him, biting down his neck and pulling his shirt over his head.
Their hand cupped the side of his bandaged wound with care as they worked their way down his chest, breathing in the essence of him, his existence in their space, pressed their hand against his veins to feel the beat of his heart, confirmation of continued life. But something was missing.
Ellisandre raised their head and gripped Sevastyan’s wrist. They moved his hand towards Rei and Lisa, pressing his fingers against Rei’s arm.
“Don’t let go.”
