Sevastyan
The summons from the Yadro came a few days later, just under a week from the end of February.
He was to go to the Yadro, consult, then to Seoul to meet with the aggrieved wife of the client Gang Junseo had killed, now assigned the code name Black Flower.
Once that consult was done, he’d report back to the Yadro to organize a final solution to the problem that was Gang Junseo.
As if Jun was a problem at all.
Sevastyan examined that thought. Since when had Gang Junseo become Jun?
Probably since Ellisandre had kept referring to the K-Pop idol that way, and Rei had taken to speaking of him more often as well.
All of 5N had started to feel like an odd extended family.
They belonged to his people, both his people—Rei and Ellisandre—and by extension, they were his people. For better or for worse.
Sevastyan clarified details and asked the names of who he would be working with in South Korea. Then he hung up and went to find Rei and Lisa. Leaving them for so long was going to be a wrench.
The trip itself, though, was a relief. The Merchari in general, and the Yadro in particular had been whiffle-waffling so long that action, almost any action away from stalemate, loosened something in his chest. A moving river was something that might be guided.
