35. Mia

MIA

“Let me go out and make sure the coast is clear.”

Wrapped in my robe the next morning, I blinked at Diego. “Huh?” He had no right to look this damn good right after rolling out of bed. “Aaron and Cody know I was in here with you all night.”

“Just stay here a minute.”

The combination of his sexy wink and smile won me over. “All right.”

After the amazing night we spent together, I was more than willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. Then he came back, a gleam in his eye.

“All right, you’re good to go.”

“What are you up to?” I asked suspiciously.

“There’s only one way to find out.”

“Okay.” I was game.

I started past him, heading for the door, but he caught my wrist and spun me around. With his hips, he nudged me back and put his palm on the wall next to my head. With his other hand, he tilted my chin up and laid his mouth on mine.

His lips were warm and firm as he coaxed my mouth open. His hand slid down my side, teasing and squeezing. I whimpered as he ravished my mouth.

Being pressed up against the wall reminded me very much of what happened in the restaurant.

My nipples hardened, and I ground myself against him.

He was already hard. He fisted a handful of my hair and tilted my head to the side, nuzzling my neck while I tried to catch my breath.

When he stepped back, I almost slid down the wall, so overwhelmed.

“W-what was that?” I said, not that I was complaining.

He shrugged. “Something to remember me by.” He didn’t have to worry I’d forget a kiss like that .

He peeked out into the hallway again. What was the deal with him? Was he expecting an attack or something?

“All right. Go to your right,” he said.

“Thank you, but I remember where the living room is.”

But I didn’t make it to the living room.

As I was passing the little office used by visiting law clients, the door popped open, and Aaron was there, a wicked grin on his lips.

He grabbed me and tugged me into the room, slamming the door behind us.

Then he pushed me up against it, his hands circling my wrists and pressing them against the door over my head.

His mouth was on mine before I could even catch my breath, and I moaned as the hormones that Diego had fired up returned with a vengeance. God, it felt good as he kissed me.

His thigh nudged between my legs, and I couldn’t help spreading them.

His hard, firm muscles were pressing against my slit.

I strained against his hands where he encircled my wrists, wanting to grab him, wanting to rake my fingers through his hair, but he kept me pinned as he thoroughly took my mouth.

Then he let go, and I almost fell again. I was beginning to sense a pattern here. These men were determined to catch me off guard and leave me breathless.

Not that I could say I minded.

Then Aaron opened the door and looked out, just like Diego had. Obviously they’d planned this, but I wasn’t sure what the endgame was.

“Someone’s waiting for you in the living room,” he said, giving me a little push in that direction as I was still rather dazed.

“Gee, I wonder who,” I called over my shoulder.

But I hurried nonetheless, eager to see Cody.

He was waiting by the piano, wearing one of those tight, long-sleeved, button-down T-shirts that looked so damn good on him.

This one was heather blue, a lighter color than he usually wore, and it brought out the lighter highlights in his hair.

When he saw me, he cocked his head, motioning me over, and I went very willingly.

“Morning,” I said, stopping just in front of him.

“Morning.”

He made a sign as he said it, and I didn’t know if it was subconscious or not.

“Aaron said I should come this way.”

“I’m glad you did.”

He put his hands on my waist, squeezing lightly.

My hands rose to his shoulders, and then I shrieked as he picked me up.

Turning, he sat me down on the grand piano itself, on the closed lid over the keys.

There wasn’t a lot of room, but he immediately pressed his body against mine, holding me in place and pinning me with his pale blue eyes as he stared at me from just inches away.

I licked my lips and gulped, then closed my eyes as he moved in. God, he kissed well. They all did, but differently. This wasn’t the time to write a comparison essay, but it felt so damn good.

His mouth was slow on mine, his lips thorough, his tongue deliberate.

And his hands… he hiked up my thigh, pushing it to the side so that he could press himself more firmly against me.

I grabbed onto him to keep from falling back and let myself drift, just enjoying the feeling of his lips on mine, his hands on me, the way he was making my body sing.

And then finally, he stepped back, taking me with him. For a moment, I clung to him, and then when he put his hands on my waist and shifted me, I slid my legs down. When I opened my eyes, I was so overwhelmed by the three amazing kisses in a row that it took me a moment to realize we weren’t alone.

Aaron and Diego stood nearby, one on either side of the piano bench.

“Hi.” My lips felt a little swollen. “That was a surprise. A very nice one.”

“Good.” That was from Aaron. Though I was still in Cody’s arms, I reached for Aaron’s hand. Then Diego’s. It felt good to be touching all of them at once. To show them how I felt about all of them.

“We have something we wanted to talk to you about.” That was from Diego. “Come sit on the couch with us.”

That sounded like a good plan, but Cody didn’t give me the option of getting there on my own power. He hooked his arms under my thighs and carried me over, setting me down gently while they settled on the sofa and armchair next to me.

“I could’ve walked here on my own,” I told Cody as he let go of me. But then I grabbed his arm before he could slide over. Bringing my lips close to his ear, I whispered, “But I’m glad you didn’t let me.”

Diego was the one sitting in the armchair, his long legs spread out in front of him, crossed at the ankle. “We were thinking that since it’s our last night here together, we should do something special.”

That was something I’d been thinking about, too. As long as it wasn’t bowling. “Do you know any more hidden-gem restaurants around here?” I asked Aaron, who was sitting on my left.

He exchanged a glance with Diego. “Actually, we were thinking of staying in.”

“Okay…” Did they really need to call a meeting to tell me we were staying in?

Diego continued. “And we also wanted to discuss where you’ll be sleeping tonight, Mia.”

Oh. I hadn’t thought of that. In the last five nights, I’d slept on my own twice and next to each of them once.

“I guess…” I couldn’t figure out how to finish that.

With only one night left, if I stayed with one of them, it would be uneven.

Unfair, like if I’d had two nights with Diego and only one with Aaron and Cody.

Shit. “I guess I should sleep alone tonight.” It was the last thing I wanted, but I didn’t see any other option.

But they did. “Or you could sleep with all of us,” Diego said softly.

I gaped at him. Did he mean like a time-share thing? Start in his bed, then go to Aaron’s, then Cody’s? I couldn’t quite decide how I felt about that.

He seemed to know I wasn’t getting it. “We could all share the same bed. If you wanted to.”

My breath hitched. “T-the same bed?”

“The one in the master suite is a California king. It’s big enough,” Aaron said. As if logistics were the only issue on my mind.

Cody didn’t say anything, but his hand captured mine in a reassuring way.

“It would be your call,” Diego said. “What happens. What we do. Hell, we could just sleep if you wanted to. Or you may not want to share a bed with us at all.”

“I do.” The words rose to my lips and then tumbled out.

Aaron’s breath hitched. “You do?”

“Yes.”

Diego was staring at me. I knew he wanted to ask me if I was sure, so I nodded, holding eye contact. Finally, he seemed to accept that. “If that’s the case, then I don’t think we’re going to get much studying done today. Aaron?”

“I figured a little more sightseeing. Then lunch out. And then, a spa afternoon for you, Mia.”

“A what?” I’d never been to a spa in my life. “Where would I have to…” I didn’t really want to spend any time today away from them.

“Just here,” Aaron said. “We put some things in the master bathroom for you. Lotions, soaps, razors, and so on.”

“You did?” God, I needed to stop echoing everything these guys said, but they kept taking me by surprise.

“Yes. Among other things.” He patted my thigh and squeezed. “As we told you, we did some Black Friday shopping yesterday.”

So that’s what they’d been getting while Cody took me bowling. Now I was really curious about what they’d bought. “Can I go see it now?”

“No.” Aaron kissed my temple and whispered in my ear. “But I guarantee you’ll like it.”

“So… so we really just spend the day playing tourists and then jump into bed together tonight?” Just saying it made my skin heat, but I wanted to be sure. The idea seemed both straightforward and preposterous at the same time.

“That’s the plan,” Aaron said, and then Cody cut in.

“If that’s what you want.”

I smiled at him. Then smiled at all of them. It was probably a nervous smile, but one full of anticipation nevertheless. “It is.”

After what felt like decades, it was time. It was Saturday night, and I was in a room lit by flickering candles and accompanied by soft music.

And I was in bed with three hot-as-sin men.

Well, on the bed. We were all sitting, each of us on one side of the huge mattress.

I had on the gorgeous little babydoll nightie they’d bought, the matching silk robe hanging open from my shoulders.

Other surprises, when I’d gotten here to the master suite a few hours ago, included a whole host of high-end toiletries, a playlist put together by Cody, and flowers.
