Monty bit his bottom lip as he gripped Iva’s hips tighter and pulled her back into his thrusts.
She had the perfect arch in her back as she matched his movements.
After hours of drinking and inking at Dot’s Spot, all he wanted to do was climb in between her legs and finish his night off right.
He felt like he was about to explode inside of her when she started wildly backing up into him.
“Damn, girl.” Monty slapped her ass, encouraging her to keep going.
Their sex life was always good, even when their relationship wasn’t.
They had their share of problems, but every couple did.
He fucked up when he got locked up but he needed her to understand why.
Monty was a man before anything else and his job was to provide for her like his father taught him to.
He didn’t want Iva struggling to pay bills while trying to send him money and paying for those expensive ass prison calls.
He had money saved but he found a way to make it work without him even having to touch it.
Caprice wasn’t even somebody that he was even attracted to but she chose him the moment she saw him.
Iva thought that feelings were involved, and nothing that he said could convince her otherwise.
Admittedly, he felt stupid for losing her the way he did.
Guilt and embarrassment of losing Iva was what propelled him to be with Caprice once he was released.
Her time was over and, honestly, it shouldn’t have ever started.
“Harder baby, I’m almost there.” Iva was throwing it back at him like it was their last time together.
“Shit, me too.” Monty was in full beast mode as he felt his nut building. He growled in satisfaction as he unloaded what he hoped to be his first child inside of Iva before collapsing and pulling her down with him.
“I don’t know what got into you but I’m not complaining.”
Monty’s eyes popped open at the sound of a familiar but unwelcomed voice. He frowned in annoyance when he locked eyes with Caprice. He could have kicked his own ass for drinking so much and not being in his right mind. Iva had been on his mind so much that he visualized being inside of her instead.
Lately, Iva had not only invaded his dreams, she was occupying his thoughts as well.
It didn’t help that she kept flirting with him all night.
If it weren’t for Clover, he would have been hit again.
He hadn’t fucked Caprice in months and he wanted it to stay that way.
He had a few female friends to help relieve his tension though.
“Man fuck!” Monty’s head was pounding as he jumped out of the bed and rushed to the bathroom. He and Caprice didn’t even sleep in the same bed but he was in the master bedroom that they once shared. He had to get his shit together and stay away from the hard liquor.
“What the hell is wrong with you?”
Caprice was shocked but excited when Monty came got into the bed with her.
He hadn’t done that in months, but she wasn’t complaining.
She was pissed with Monty for staying out so late, especially since she knew that he was at his grandmother’s bar.
It was the weekend, so she knew that Iva was there too.
She must have been in a deep sleep when he got there because she didn’t even hear when he came in.
He would die if he ever found the air tag that she’d hidden in his trunk.
She knew his every move, including the homes of every bitch that he fucked with.
She chilled out with poppin’ up on him so much because she didn’t want him to get suspicious.
Monty started sneaking out more and inviting her to go with him wasn’t happening, so she had to take matters into her own hands.
All was forgiven now since he hit her with some dope dick. She couldn’t wait to call her cousin, Sade, and rub it in her face. She had been begging Dash to fuck her again, but all he ever wanted from her was some head.
Although she was happy for the much needed release, Caprice was no fool.
She knew that Monty was pissy drunk when he came in but she wasn’t gonna stop him.
Things with them went left not even six months into him being released.
She knew that her time with him was limited, which was why she was actively looking for another job.
Her mama was always fussing at her for how she sat back and depended on a man.
That was something that she was always taught not to do and she saw why.
Aside from paying the bills, Monty didn’t give her money or do anything else for her.
She had a nice lump sum from her 401K but she had blown halfway through it trying to keep her car note and other bills paid.
The lease was gonna be up soon, and she wasn’t gonna be dumb enough to renew it.
It was only a matter of time before he was done with her for good.
She fucked up and fell in love with his dog ass, so even the thought of being without him hurt.
She felt like she’d been degrading herself enough by inviting herself to things that he never even told her about.
Still, she wasn’t gonna go away quietly.
She knew that he still loved Iva but she wasn’t gonna make their reunion a peaceful one.
She also wasn’t leaving without showing Clover just how much of a dog Dash was.
If she had to go, she was taking a few people with her.
Monty hopped in the shower to wash the smell of sex from his body.
He was pissed with himself for not knowing his limit and drinking more than he should have.
Waking up balls deep inside of Caprice made him want to stop drinking altogether.
He didn’t even remember going home or how he got there.
He was sure nobody let him drive in his condition.
Fonzo wasn’t at the bar, but Dash and Clover were.
Once he got out of the shower, Monty looked outside to make sure his car wasn’t there. He looked for something to wear as he called Dash on speakerphone.
“What’s up, bro?” Dash asked while answering on the first ring.
“Where my car at, lil bro, and how did I get home?”
“Nigga, I had to carry your drunk ass inside and lay you down.”
“Yeah, in the wrong muthafucking bed.”
“I didn’t even put you in the bed. I laid you on the sofa, so you got in the bed on your own. Your car is still parked by the bar.”
“I’m getting dressed now to go meet dude at his tattoo shop. Come swing by and get me.”
“Lucky said to call her whenever you’re ready. I’m at work.”
“Work? It’s Saturday, nigga.”
“I know but I had to draw up a few contracts. Business has been good, so I ain’t doing no complaining. That nigga Fonzo went at Hank about building him and Amina something from the bottom up.”
“That’s what’s up. I’m happy for big bro.”
“Me too. He said he wanted to sit down and talk to everybody about a few things. I guess he’s about ready to pop the question. Shit, I’m ready to do it again my damn self. I shouldn’t have signed them bullshit ass papers in the first place.”
“I told you not to do it, fam. You listening to Diva knowing that she’s been on Clover’s side from day one. But Fonzo don’t need to talk to us about getting married. Shit, just tell me when and where. Amina is a good look for him. At least y’all got it right. I’m all fucked up.”
“You good too, bro. You and Iva just need to sit down and have an adult conversation about everything. All that name calling and arguing is childish.”
“Yeah, I know, man. Clo told me that same shit last night.”
Caprice was fuming as she eavesdropped on his not so private conversation.
Hearing Monty say that Clover was basically trying to get him and Iva back together shouldn’t have even been a surprise, but it was.
Although Iva was her best friend, Clover stayed neutral when it came to his relationship with Caprice.
She’d even overheard Clover telling him to leave her girl alone since he was in a relationship and she’d said it more than once.
Apparently, she had a change of heart and wanted them back together.
Now, more than ever, Caprice wanted Clover to hurt the same way that she was trying to hurt her.
“That food was so good. I’ve never had sweet potato benedict before,” Kim said as they walked back to Clover’s truck, making her cousin stop to look at her and laugh.
“Bitch, it’s called beignets.”
“Girl, I’m weak.” Cashmere, Clover’s friend, laughed with her. That was only her third or fourth time hanging with Clover’s cousin but she was funny as hell without even trying to be.
“Dang, I should have ordered some extras to take home,” Kim said, right as they got into the car.
“You still can. I’ll drive you to the front, so you can talk to the hostess.” Clover started her car and made the block.
Monday was a black-owned restaurant and bar that served some decent food. They were hit or miss in Clover’s opinion, but Cash loved them. Kim seemed to love them too and every other restaurant that she’d gone to. Her cousin was a country girl so she knew good eating and was a damn good cook herself.
“Do y’all want anything?” Kim asked them before she got out of the car. Both women declined, so she walked up to the hostess to place her order.
“Girl, thanks for being okay with my cousin tagging along lately. She don’t really know too many people just yet.”
Clover had been bringing Kimber everywhere she went lately if she wasn’t with Dash.
Her cousin was in an unfamiliar place so her and Diva had been showing her around.
Since Cash’s daughter was with Diva and Kardi, they decided to have lunch and hang out.
“Girl, I don’t mind. I like her lil cute country self. That accent of hers just makes everything sound funny.”
“I know and my granny’s is even worse. I’m happy as hell Diva and Hank raised me. I would have been sounding like a country bumpkin too.”
“That shit is funny as hell. Your in-laws raised you along with your future husband.”
“I know but it just always seemed so normal to me. My parents were their best friends, so we were always around. I don’t really realize how dysfunctional we are until somebody else points it out.”
“Girl, you know I’m just fucking with you. Me, of all people, ain’t got no room to talk. My mama’s last two kids are for my auntie’s ex. My grandma, who was screwing her pastor for years, hated us as a result. My sister had a baby with our mama’s boyfriend and, now,
