8. Max

EIGHT

MAX

After watching Rosy enter her place, I barge through my door, toe off my shoes, and slide out of the hallway into the kitchen. A mixture of mouth-watering smells hits me.

“Fuck, that smells banging, Bry.” I groan, my stomach loudly announcing my hunger. Heading over to the cupboard, I grab a bag of salt and vinegar crisps, opening them roughly and shoving a handful into my mouth. I love when the vinegar tingles.

“Maxi! Dinner’s soon! You’re going to get crisps everywhere and ruin your appetite,” Bry scolds, but his attention is fixed firmly on drizzling oil on some focaccia. Fuck, that looks good.

“We could only hope. But I don’t think we’re lucky enough for him to find the bottom of his stomach.” Noah chuckles as he walks in and grabs cutlery from the drawers.

I go to throw a crisp at Noah, but it’s plucked from my grip as Nate pops it into his mouth and crunches loudly.

“You’re welcome for stopping you getting into trouble.” He smirks, then sits on one of the stools.

“My charm’s too irresistible for me to get into trouble,” I quip, throwing another handful of crisps into my mouth. “Rosy said she will be over in an hour. I’m going to grab a shower quickly, I’m covered in hay from all the rolling around we did in it…”

“Max!”

“I’m joooooking.” I cackle at Noah. I swear, I’ve been given all the personality to make up for their lack of humour.

Heading into the bathroom I share with Bry, I close the door behind me and immediately strip. I flick on the shower and get straight in, sucking in a sharp breath as the cold water hits me.

Fuck, I love that brief moment when your heart freezes before the adrenaline hits.

Standing still, I let the water cascade over me, enjoying the feel as it slowly heats up.

Grabbing the bottle of shower gel, I quickly scrub some of the liquid into my skin, washing away the sweat, fur, and fuck knows what else from the day.

My thoughts jump to Rosy, and I wonder if she’s currently in the shower too. Is she standing there, lathering up her body and washing away the day we had together? She had more sass in that curvy body than I thought she would…and the sound of her laugh had my dick twitching in my pants all day.

And now it’s twitching again.

Fuck it. I have time.

Squirting some more shower gel into my hand, I slide it around my cock, giving it a firm tug, then I stroke up and down. My head drops back, my eyes falling closed as I picture Rosy as she was today; her eyes big and wide, a blush creeping up her neck and covering her cheeks.

Then in my mind, she falls to her knees, a soft cold hand gripping my dick tightly as her plush, wet lips slide over the tip. Her tongue circles me, making everything slippery and warm until she hollows her cheeks and messily sucks on me.

A pulse shoots down my balls; my hips thrust into my hand as I increase the speed, tugging faster and harder.

Stumbling forward, I brace my other arm against the wall, fucking my hand as my thoughts turn to Rosy moaning around my dick, her pupils blown wide with lust. She moans heavily around me, her eyes fluttering closed as she starts to rock back and forth, her hand shoved down her trousers as she rubs herself off.

I bet her pussy is so pink and pretty.

“Fuck, Rosy. Take it.” My words punch out in rough, heated pants as my cum shoots out, painting the tiled wall.

Well, shit, that felt good. Really good. I bet the real thing with her would be mind blowing.

Giving the water a moment to wash away the mess, before I reach out and twist the nozzle, shutting the shower off. Fuck, it’s steamy out here. The balmy heat prickles across my already sensitive skin.

I step into my bedroom and ignore the dirty laundry scattered sporadically across the room. Pulling out a pair of shorts from the wardrobe, I drop the towel and yank them on, then pull on a T-shirt and head out into the living room.

“Do we have any snacks or appetiser type stuff? I’m starving,” I ask, padding barefoot over to the kitchen island and planting myself on the stool next to Nate.

“You just had a snack,” Bry scoffs as he washes something up in the sink.

“That was a while ago. I already burned that off.”

“It was fifteen minutes ago. What can you possibly do in that time to burn off half a bag of crisps?” His eye roll is definitely visible this time as he turns around, wiping his hands dry on a tea towel before tossing it over his shoulder.

“There’s a lot that can be done in fifteen minutes. Ain’t that right, Nate?” Swivelling on my stool to face him, I clap him heavily on the shoulder.

He shrugs my hand off and smirks. “Don’t ask me. I like to take my time. Not everyone is over and done as quickly as you are.”

“I’m hurt, bro.” Clutching my chest, I pout at his mean words.

“I’m sure,” he grunts. A man of many words is Nate. He tosses something into his mouth and chews.

Launching myself at him, I stuff my hand into the bowl that’s in front of him, pulling out a crispy potato ball. I chuck it into my mouth before he can snatch it back.

“Fuck, that’s good. Why are you hiding snacks from me? Wait, how come you got snacks?” My voice is whiny, but they left me out. They know I love snacks.

“Because you eat everything, then there’s none left to share with anyone else,” Bry states dryly, but I’m sure there is a hint of endearment in there somewhere. “You can have these, but that’s it until Rosy arrives. Otherwise there won’t be any food left for her.”

He nudges a small bowl of the crispy tots across the counter, and I dive in. Honestly, he’s probably right, but he won’t hear me admit that.

A soft knock sounds from the front door, and I leap up from the stool, dashing to answer it before the others can. I open it wide, and Rosy stands there, wringing her hands together in front of her.

“Come on in! Mi casa es su casa,” I say, stepping back and gesturing for her to walk in.

“Oh, hi. Thank you.” A blush creeps up her neck, and her awkwardness swirls around us. It’s strange to find it so cute.

Dropping my arm across her shoulders, I guide her back into the living area, keeping her tucked against me. She smells good, all freshly showered and fruity.

I love raspberries. I wonder if Bry has any for dessert.

“Guys, this is Rosy. Rosy, these are the guys,” I introduce, waving my hand between everyone.

“I don’t think she’s going to just call us all ‘Guy’, Max.” Noah laughs, walking over and reaching out a hand. “It’s great to meet you, Rosy. I’m Noah. Bry’s over there behind the counter.”

Her gaze travels over to the kitchen, and she offers Bry a small wave.

Noah gestures to the big man on the stool. “And Nate.”

“We’ve met,” he grunts.

Wait, what?

Glancing down at her, my brows furrow. I spent all day with Rosy, and she never mentioned it. Neither has Nate. A small pang hits my chest. Did she purposely avoid telling me?

“We met at the gym this week. Nice to see you again,” she says.

I guess it makes sense that she didn’t bring it up if they don’t really know each other. Relief has some of the tension easing. But Nate’s frown at her words has me questioning why he didn’t mention meeting her when I bought her up yesterday.

“Well, I hope you’re hungry. I wasn’t sure what you’d like, so I’ve made a few different options, and you can just pick whatever you like,” Bry announces, grabbing some dishes and walking over to the table to lay them out. “Anything you don’t eat will just be eaten by one of these animals.”

“Rosy loves animals, so that’s not an insult to me.” I grin, guiding her over to the table and seating her in the middle, then sliding into the chair beside her.

Nate grabs the empty place on her other side and picks up her plate. “What do you want?”

He’s always so grumpy. If he’s not careful, he’s going to scare her off.

But I don’t get the chance to jump in and smooth things over.

“Oh, um. Anything vegetarian please? You don’t have to dish it up for me, though. If you just let me know if there are any options, then I can grab it.” She reaches out to take her plate back.

“I want to.”

Moving it out of Rosy’s reach, Nate directs his attention to Bry. “Which ones?”

She’s going to think we’re a bunch of grunting apes.

Smiling broadly, Bry answers, “You can try a bit of everything; I made all the dishes suitable for you. You’re a guest, and I didn’t want you to feel as though you were missing out.”

A shy, tentative smile spreads across her cheeks, and Bry blinks owlishly at her.

Same, bro. Same.

It’s weird how a cute smile from her can make you feel like you’ve hung the moon for her or some shit. Instead, all he had to do was cook.

“Thank you. I’d love to try a bit of everything. You’ve made so much effort.”

Nate doesn’t verbally answer. Instead he adds a bit of each of the dishes, then slides the full plate in front of her.

As soon as Rosy has her food, we all dive in and load up our own plates.

Fucking finally, too.

Shovelling a forkful of some sticky, spicy cauliflower into my mouth, I groan loudly in appreciation as I chew.

“Fuck me, Bry. This is good,” I mumble.

But his attention isn’t on me or on his own meal; it’s on Rosy.

With her head tucked down, she scoops up a forkful and pops it into her mouth, chewing delicately. Then she loads up her fork with something else and slides that into her mouth to taste. She’s unknowingly teasing Bry with the suspense, and even though I love it, I can’t help but take pity on him.

I nudge her with my shoulder. “So, beautiful, what do you think?”

She startles and raises her head, covering her mouth with her hand. “Oh! Sorry, I was enjoying it so much. It’s all amazing, honestly. I wish I could cook like this,” she says quickly, a pink tinge covering her cheeks.

“What do you usually like to cook?” Bry asks, his own plate of food still forgotten.

“Embarrassingly, nothing. All I can usually manage is microwaving things or putting together a sandwich. Anything I try to cook turns out inedible or burns.” She cringes.
