54. Rosy
FIFTY-FOUR
ROSY
A burning heat pulls me awake slowly, the pressure at my back confirming where I am.
Nate’s bed.
He actually wanted me to stay, and now he’s curled around me.
It’s honestly been one of the best night’s sleep I’ve had, even if his extortionately high body temperature is what woke me.
It takes a minute to take stock of every deliciously sore muscle in my body after recalling what we did last night, and I bury my head in the pillow as embarrassment coats my cheeks. I squirm at the thought.
“Psst.”
Turning my head towards the noise, I find Max leaning against the open doorframe. A massive, impish grin is plastered across his face.
“Go. Before he decides to come in and piss me off,” Nate mumbles from behind me. He presses a soft kiss to the top of my spine, and I shiver at the sensation. Heat curls down my body, but at the same time, my heart clenches at the intimacy.
“You sure?”
“You heard what the bear said, plus he knows he can’t hog all the sweet, tasty honey. Sharing is caring with our cute honeybee.”
“Ew, honey? Really?” I grimace.
Nate’s arm squeezes around my middle, then his hand slides down to cup between my legs. My breath hitches. Beneath the fabric of my sleep shorts, his finger dips into my entrance.
“Mine. But I can share.”
Max darts into the room, tugging back the sheets, and I gasp at the cold air hitting my skin.
“Paws off her.” Max laughs, his eyes flashing as he sees where Nate cups me, and he holds out a hand for me to take.
Twisting, I drop a kiss on Nate’s mouth. “Good morning.”
He leans in to take another kiss, then mutters against my lips. “Good morning, little tease.”
Unable to ignore Max’s impatient noises, I take his offered hand and let him tug me off the bed. He slaps my backside as I walk past him.
“We need sustenance before you use me for my muscles and pussy magnetism.”
I link my fingers through his, snorting at his bolstering. “You feed Daisy snacks; that’s bribery, not charm.”
“But you do like the muscles?”
I’m saved from answering as we enter the main living area. It’s early, so I hadn’t anticipated anyone being up yet, but Bry’s already in the kitchen. My feet slow, and my arm gets tugged in its socket as Max keeps walking.
Max made it easy; there wasn’t any awkwardness when he saw me in bed with Nate. But this is the first time I’ve stayed over, and I don’t know what to expect from the others. What if Bry’s disgusted, disappointed, or…jealous? If he breaks things off with me, I’m not sure my heart can take it.
I’ve got so used to being with them already that I forgot the risk of it not working out between any of them…or all of them.
I swallow stiffly, my hands clammy and head light.
“Morning, Rosy. Did you sleep okay?” Bry says, smiling warmly.
Some of the fear ebbs, his happiness at seeing me evident and reassuring.
“I did. Thank you.”
“Do you have time to eat before you head to the farm? Or I can pack something for you to go?”
“I have forty-five minutes until I need to leave. Steph’s home all morning, so she’s keeping Moshi company.”
“Perfect, how does cinnamon waffles with some spiced berries sound?”
My answering groan has him chuckling, and I slip onto one of the island stools. Max grabs a seat to my left, and his hand lands on my thigh, then his thumb strokes the exposed skin.
“Can I have seconds?” he asks, leaning on the counter and snatching a blueberry.
“You haven’t even had firsts,” Bry adds.
“Well, I’m pre-ordering it. Actually, make it thirds, just in case. Rosy likes my muscles, so I need to stay in peak condition.”
Max holds the stolen berry to my lips. When I open, he drops it in my mouth.
I bite down on the tart berry, but before I can swallow, his mouth meets mine.
Covering my lips with his, he licks along the seam twice before I realise he wants me to open.
When I do, his tongue sweeps in, licking at the juice coating my mouth.
“Mm, tastes good.”
I giggle, pull back, and see Bry’s still smiling at me. I watch as he continues moving around the kitchen, pulling out different ingredients as he checks his tablet.
“What’re you making today?”
“Coconut caramel blondies with a mango drizzle. I released a limited number of orders yesterday, so I’m filling them now.” At my parted mouth and probable drool, he laughs. “I’ll make you some too.”
“Wait, you never make me any.” Max pouts, his hand sliding higher on my thigh as he leans back on the stool.
“You’re not Rosy.” Bry grins, winking at me before plating up our breakfasts.
“Will you share with me?” Max turns to me, his face pinched in a pleading expression. At least I think he’s aiming for that.
“Maybe. You’ll have to show me how much you want them.”
“Challenge accepted.”
It’s no surprise that breakfast was mouth-wateringly tasty. I would happily stay over every night just for that…though waking up to any of them would be even better. Can it be as easy as eating my waffle and keeping it too?
After leaving Max to finish his second serving, I head into the bathroom attached to Nate’s room and get ready, wanting to grab a quick shower.
But at this rate, it won't be. It’s heavenly in here.
It might have something to do with the rainfall shower head and the numerous small heads spraying my body from different angles.
It feels so good.
“You make any more sounds like that, and I’m joining you, little tease.”
I squeak embarrassingly loudly as I yank open the shower door and poke my head out. “I’m in here.”
“I know, and I will be too if you keep tempting me.”
Fumbling, I reluctantly switch off the shower and hold an arm through the crack in the door. “Can you pass me the towel, please?”
“Do you need it?”
“Yes, I’m dripping wet.”
“I like you wet.”
“Nate!”
A towel finally lands in my hand, and I wrap it around myself before stepping out.
“What are you doing in here anyway?”
“Needed to piss but got distracted watching you.”
My cheeks heat at his approving stare; it lingers not only over my exposed skin, but on the areas covered. The areas he thoroughly got acquainted with last night.
Picking up another towel, I start to dry my hair.
Nate turns, lifts the toilet lid, and grips his length from inside his sleep shorts, tugging it free and aiming.
“I’m still in here!” I protest, my voice rising in pitch.
“I don’t mind you watching.” He smirks, somehow managing to maintain eye contact as he releases a steady stream.
“Ah. No. I’m…I need to get ready,” I say, rushing from the room.
“Can’t go with wet hair. Noah and Max both have dryers,” he calls out behind the door I shove closed.
Out loud, I huff about Nate telling me what to do, but my insides are basking, loving being looked after.
Especially as I’m now sitting on Noah’s bedroom floor as he dries my hair for me.
The clock’s ticking, but I keep delaying because this feels too good.
“I think that’s almost dry, if you need to go?” Noah asks, switching off the dryer and running his fingers through the strands to check.
I’m about to start purring if he keeps it up.
“Honestly, it’s more effort than I’d have done. Thank you for doing it for me,” I tell him, turning to kneel and press a kiss to his lips.
Our mouths move against each other, soft and slow as my hands rest on his chest, sliding through the smattering of dark hair.
I’d woken him up when I’d knocked on his door, and he was shirtless.
With his navy cotton sleep trousers, tousled hair, and slight stubble, he looked handsome and sleepy.
It was hard to resist the temptation to ask if I could curl up with him.
“I can do it any time. I enjoy doing things for you.”
His hands slide down my back, slipping under my T-shirt and stroking my sensitive skin.
“Okay.” I grin. “But I really need to go.”
His hands clench around my hips, holding me. “Date night next Saturday?”
“I’d love that. Just let me know what time.”
He nods, giving me another kiss that I’m reluctant to end. “Have a good day. I’ll see you later at dinner.”
