Chapter 10

BLAIZE

My eye was throbbing alongside the migraine I had, and the relentless hum outside my office window was enough to drive me to commit arson. My fingers dug into my temple, barely rubbing an ounce of the pressure away from my skull.

It was confirmed that the feds were poking around my hotel.

Lennox informed me that one of the regulars at the club, one of the many who have committed tax fraud, got cornered after he was spotted leaving the club.

It spooked him. That man told his friends, which spooked them, causing my money to run to the hills as they did.

These higher-up politicians didn’t want their wives to know they’re fucking barely legal women, or to have the government know they were stealing thousands from the IRS.

How did they know? The hotel was invite only, either from the girls or customers who enjoyed the services.

The hotel was truly a hotel with benefits.

There was a spa, gym, and a dining area.

The rooms were lavish. Even if they were to snoop, they’d see couples doing things that wouldn’t raise any attention other than public display of affection.

I wasn't ignorant. I knew people got curious, so I had to play coy if people asked what I owned.

I was not going to boast about a hotel where men and women paid top dollar for the best pussy and dick money could buy.

While I had friends in the police department, I didn’t have anyone in the FBI or higher, so I had to be cautious.

I didn’t like my name being the talk of the town.

I made this my home after killing Elijah West and healing my broken heart.

After that night, I burned my demons; everything was done legit or under the table.

There should be no holes in my operations, besides I also owned Westhaven PD after finding out some of the men in power like to be pegged by women in black latex.

Obviously they didn’t come to my club, but they flourished at my hotel.

This was a mess. My operations were secure and under constant watch to make sure nothing like this fucking happened.

Now, after all that work, I had to deal with Kadence fucking Hayes. The ghost that came to my town under the radar. I still didn’t understand how this happened without anyone informing me. I didn’t like being surprised, and this curvy bombshell of a woman hit me like a fucking semi-truck.

My door creaked open, and I hissed, gripping the hilt of my knife, flinging it toward the door, and hearing the metal embed itself into the frame.

The sound of heels click-clacked on my marble floor as the person entered my office.

I knew those steps because anyone else walking in here would be pinned to the wall.

“Someone sounds grumpy.”

“Hunter, leave me the fuck alone.”

I glanced up at her, a playful smirk tugging at her lips. This woman infuriated me, but I liked her enough to not dump her into the Pacific. Of course, she’d never hear me utter a single word of praise.

“You really need to get laid. Have someone eat that tension through your pretty pussy.”

“Fuck off, Hunter.”

She rolled her eyes. “What did you want? If you forgot, you called me.”

“Kadence Hayes.”

“I’m sorry?”

“Run a background check on her. Turns out our friend Ricky had a little employee hiding under our noses. The woman at the pier. I’m almost certain it was her. Same blue hair and curvy body.”

That caught her attention. “Is she hot? New pussy for you to sink your teeth into.” Hunter was always interested in fresh meat.

I gripped the side of my desk, glaring at her. “The only person I want is in a casket.”

Her face dropped, but she was the one who brought this shit up. “Sorry, boss. I’ll get on that. How are you? Like really?”

“I’m fucking peachy,” I growled under my breath, my brows furrowing in annoyance. “Do we know anything about these feds poking around town?”

“No idea. Kala doesn't know why the feds would be here. No one in the department called them, and nothing here should trigger a task force. We’re clean.”

I sighed, leaning back in my chair. “Henry must’ve talked to someone. That’s why that motherfucker got ballsy with me.”

“I know, Blaize.”

I needed a distraction from the shit show everything was becoming. “Everything is set up for tomorrow night?”

Hunter nodded. “Fixing the minor kinks with the lighting on stage, but it’ll be operational tomorrow for the shows.”

“Good.”

I made my living through kink and sex work.

Everyone needed a place to dive into their darkest, dirtiest desires without being judged.

My club catered to women, members of the queer community, and a few people who wanted to explore their darkest fantasies.

My strip club was more lenient than my BDSM club.

To even enter through the door, someone had to invite them.

Once they got here, they had to fill out paperwork and sign an NDA.

We had a strict picture and video policy.

If anyone ever thought about using what happened in these walls to blackmail someone else, if I didn’t let the boys kill them, my lawyers would sue the shit out of them.

That rule went for the strip club, too. If my girls wanted to post naked pictures of themselves, that was their choice, but no one else would.

“When are you going to perform again?” Hunter asked. “You know your shows were always the best, and you showed me how to control the whip.”

I couldn’t help the smirk that slipped onto my lips.

It’s been years since I controlled a whip, and I knew I’d be rusty, but it was an art form.

My kinks were not for the closed-minded.

CNC, controlled orgasms, pain and pleasure, degradation and praise, along with a long list of others, but then I met Olivia.

She was the perfect little submissive with a pain kink.

She took everything I could dish out and enjoyed every minute of it.

Plus, her desire to be watched made the club even more exhilarating.

Olivia craved the pain almost as much as I enjoyed giving it, but the romantic part of our bedroom life was also beautiful. We’d fuck like rabid beasts, but we could also make love under the moonlight, ravishing each other for hours. The balance between the two made our relationship flourish.

It wasn’t just our sex life. Olivia was my muse, calming the raging fire inside my soul.

She was like peace on a stormy day, a refuge amongst chaos, and she was solace in a time of despair.

She was the anchor that held me steady. Without her, I felt lost. Constant rage and anger swam within my veins without her—without both of them.

I sighed. “That was the past. I own the club. I manage everything from the sidelines; besides, Miss Latex, you’re pretty hot on that stage with a whip.”

I trained Hunter with various whips. It was a healthy way for her to handle her trauma without going on a murder spree. She enjoyed it a little too much, and now she had one of the best shows in the club.

“Imagine both of us onstage with a sub,”she grinned. I could imagine it—it would bring the house down.

“I don’t share.”

“Please. We both know that’s a lie.”

I smiled, my mind going back to that night six years ago before everything went to shit. That was the greatest night of my life. Olivia was in heaven being dominated by two women. Her little body could barely handle the immense amount of pleasure filled pain we inflicted on her that night.

When Hunter opened up to us, she had a fascination with us.

Hades was open and doing a good job as a strip club, but one night of strip poker with Hunter and Hawke, we decided to open the darker side of Hades.

Olivia let it slip that we liked sharing, and that piqued Hunter’s attention.

We played together, but our relationship was strictly monogamous.

Olivia was…she was perfect.

I didn’t know what I did to deserve a woman like her.

She loved me, even with the murderous monster inside of me.

She never wanted me to change because she knew I would be hiding who I truly was.

Olivia understood that I needed to protect the innocent who couldn’t fight for themselves.

She was my soul, and Charlee was my heart.

Here we were, ten years later, with Hades flourishing, me controlling the territories, and being the leader of one of the most notorious gangs on the West Coast, inflicting fear on the vilest of men. I was only missing two big pieces of my heart.

“Maybe one day, but don’t bother getting your hopes up about it happening.”

“I’ll take my chances. You know I’m not the dating type.”

I rolled my eyes. “We all know you like to steal the girls from their husbands and make them question their entire life.”

“What can I say? I worship the fuck out of pussy.”

Hawke’s ringtone cut through our conversation, and we both fell silent. “What is it Hawke?” I asked as I answered the phone.

“We found a girl. I ain’t ever seen her before, but we stopped a couple of men from assaulting her. I think it’s the girl you were looking for.”

“Son of a bitch. Is she okay?”

“She’s unconscious. Doc said she was real sick before bein’ attacked. She hit her head, but she was having a panic attack when we got to her. They tore her underwear, but I don’t think they did anythin’ else.” He sighed.

“Make sure those two are still alive by the time I get there.” I spit, hanging up the phone.

Hunter looked at me with raised brows. “What's up?”

“I need you to stay here and make sure everything runs smoothly. None of the girls leave here alone. They either have one of my men or their own escort out of the club.”

“What happened?”

“Hawke ran up on two men trying to rape a girl.” I pulled open my drawer, grabbing my lucky dagger and slipping it into the holster tied to my ankle. “It’s Kadence. Once I find out if she’s okay, I need that information so I know what to do with her.”

“Yes, boss.”
