Chapter 28

Ash

I drop my backpack by my feet and slam the metal door shut.

Mason’s fist comes flying at me the second I turn around. I narrowly dodge its trajectory by ducking. It crashes into the locker behind me instead.

But who can blame me after finding Em naked in my bed this morning? Totally worth it.

Mason seizes the front of my shirt and yanks my face toward him. “You know damn well what my problem is,” he grates out.

I chuckle. “What, you didn’t like the pictures?” I figured since he couldn’t be there in person. “You seemed to get there just in time.”

“Argh!” Mason’s eyes flare with his roar as he shoves me back against my locker. His fists flex. His jaw twitches under tension.

“Get your fucking fill already and move on,” he snarls .

His grip releases me, and I stare after him as he storms out.

What the actual fuck?

Charging at the door, I catch it before it slams shut. “Hey, maybe you should consider taking a half day and go home to sleep it off!” I shout after him. “And when was the last time you ate?” Cranky-ass bastard. His food from the diner was still sitting in the kitchen this morning. Untouched.

Mason’s arm swings back, and he raises his middle finger at me as he keeps walking away.

I shake my head. He doesn’t want to share? Fine. But move on ?

I have no intention.
