Chapter 21
Addison
Bunny and I sit huddled together on the bed, just holding each other while we await our fates. I don’t know what that’s going to be and I’m not sure that I want to know. All I do know is I hope Free finds us before we’re actually forced to do something we’re going to regret later. I know the power of Free’s drugs, and I know just how well they work. He’s used them on me more than once, but I was only ever with him. The thought of someone else touching me makes me sick to my stomach.
“What are you thinking?” Bunny asks as she pulls me in tighter.
“That I can’t do this. I can’t sleep with someone else,” I tell her.
“I know. I’ll do whatever I can to keep the attention off you,” she offers, breaking my heart in half. I don’t want her to do that.
“No. You don’t want this either. If it happens, it happens. Don’t you dare try to stop it,” I warn her.
“Free would lose his mind, Addison. I think it’s smarter if I take the attention and not you.”
“Why? You don’t want this, Bunny. No. I’m not letting you do it.” Just as I say the words, the door opens, and Jamie comes walking in like nothing is unusual for him. Maybe it’s not. Maybe he steals girls the way Free buys them.
“You two look cozy. I think that’s a good start,” he says, confusing the hell out of me. What does that even mean?
“Fuck off,” I sneer at him while Bunny holds my hand in hers.
“I have special plans for the two of you tonight. You won’t be fucking other men yet. I’m saving that for a special night. Tonight, though, you will have each other to explore.” My heart jackhammers in my chest. That’s still cheating, and I can’t cheat on Free. I can’t do that to him.
“I won’t do it,” I tell him, holding my head high. He pulls a vial from his pocket and raises it so I can see it before he smirks.
“You don’t get the choice. This will do the thinking for you.”
“Fuck you, Jamie. When Free finds out you did this …” I let the words trail off.
“Free won’t find out.” He shoves the vial back into his pocket before stepping closer to the two of us. Then he reaches out and grabs me by the hair, jerking me off the bed. He drags me into the middle of the floor while Bunny watches before he pulls me against his body. His hard chest is pressed against my back as his hand slides from my hair to around my neck.
“I wondered what Free saw you in. To me, you were just another pretty face. Something I could make a couple grand off, but I knew you were something more to him. He doesn’t bring girls with him to parties. In fact, he doesn’t even fuck a girl while he’s here. So what makes you so special, Addison? You have a magic pussy?” he chuckles as his lips caress my cheek. I fight the urge to throw up as he continues talking.
“Redheads were always his weakness. Maybe it’s the hair, or maybe it’s the pale skin. I don’t know, but I know my brother sure liked you for some reason,” he says.
“I’m nothing special.”
“Oh, I think you are. You see, if my brother finds you special, then others will, too. Others will see what he saw,” he tells me. “Now your friend over there, just another blonde, but you know what? Men like blondes with big tits, so she fits right in.”
“Free is going to kill you.”
“Over you?” he asks with a laugh. My stomach turns. Maybe he’s right. Maybe Free won’t do anything to him over me. I can’t say for sure how he feels about me, but I do know how I feel about him.
“Let me go,” I say through gritted teeth. He holds me tighter until I can barely breathe before finally releasing me. Before he’s done with me, he shoves me roughly to the floor, where Bunny quickly moves to help me up.
“How do you even have willing girls here if this is how you treat them?” she yells.
“I didn’t say I treated them all this way. In fact, they are well cared for. New girls need to learn their places, and what better way to teach them.”
“You’re a sick fuck,” she tells him as she helps me to my feet.
“Says the club whore. You’ve probably slept with half the club, and you have complaints about me?”
“I choose who I sleep with. They don’t force me.”
“I won’t be forcing you either. Once the drugs are running through your system, you’ll be begging for it.”
“I’ve had that drug more times than I can count. I can fight it,” she tells him. I see her straighten her spine, ready to go to war with Jamie, but he’s bigger and stronger.
“I have men who like the fight. You aren’t the first one to try and fight it, Bunny. You won’t be the last either.” With that, he turns and walks back out of the room, slamming the door for good measure.
“What are we going to do?”
“It’s not really cheating if you’re with me.” Her words are sad, and I know she doesn’t believe what’s coming out of her mouth. She’s just trying to make me feel better about the situation.
“I can’t do this,” I tell her.
“I know you can’t, but what choice are we going to have?”
“I don’t know. I don’t know!” I tug at my hair as I pace the room, trying to think of something, anything, but I come up blank. Nothing. There is nothing I can do to stop this. I’m going to be used in front of men. I’m going to be made a fool of so they can get off. I’m sick to my stomach just thinking about it.
My head drops forward and Bunny pulls me into a hug.
“He’ll find us.”
“What if he doesn’t? Then what? We’re stuck here, Bunny. I can’t live like this. I won’t.” I shake my head as I pull away from her and begin to pace back and forth once more. There has to be a way out of here. At the parties, the doors are open. They aren’t locked. Yeah, a man stood near the door, but I don’t know how much attention he was really paying when Free brought me here. Maybe I could run. If I could just get to Free, he could get the other girls.
“What are you thinking?”
“The night Free brought me here. There wasn’t a lot of security. I don’t know if it’s because the girls were older and not willing to run or what it was. What if it’s the same the tonight? What if there aren’t many men on security?”
“You want to run? What if he catches you? He’d surely hurt you, Addison. I don’t trust him.”
“I don’t trust him either, but we have to try something. We can’t stay like this, Bunny. We have to find a way out of here.”
“You’re right. What if I cause a scene? Get the attention off you?”
“How are you going to do that?”
“I have my ways. I’ll distract them and you take off. Run as fast as you can. Run as far as you can and then get ahold of Free.”
“You think it will work?” She shrugs her shoulder.
“It’s worth a try if you’re willing to do it.”
“Oh, I’m more than willing to do it.”
“Then we have a plan. I’ll distract them, you run.”
“And the others?”
“They don’t need to know what’s happening. They may panic and ruin the whole thing. We need to stay calm and go along with whatever he wants us to do. Then I’ll take over.”
“Are you sure about this?”
“It’s the only way, isn’t it? You’re right. We can’t sit here like this,” she reminds me. I nod my head. We can do this.
“Okay. Let’s do it. Are you sure you’ll be okay?”
“I’m sure he’ll pull his girls once he’s seen one of them run. He’s not going to want the others to follow. Although, it wouldn’t hurt if they did. They couldn’t chase you all at once,” she says with a smirk. I wonder how many others would try to run if given the chance. I wish I could talk to the others, but I can’t. We’re all in separate rooms.
“Then that’s what we’ll do. I’ll run,” I tell her. She nods her head as I walk over and sit on the edge of the bed. She follows and sits next to me, patting my arm.
“We have a plan. It’s not solid, but it’s a plan,” she says.
“I hope this works. I can’t do what Jamie wants me to do, Bunny.”
“I know you can’t. Just follow my lead, and I’ll take it from there.” I nod my head, trusting Bunny. I know she had a thing for me when I first got to the clubhouse but she has quickly become one of my best friends. I wouldn’t know what to do here without her, and I can’t thank God enough she was stuck in the same room as me.
