Chapter 29 #2

A chill snakes down my back, and it takes a concentrated effort not to look back at him. Leon likes my fear. The more I give him, the more likely he is to assault me. Instead, I force my muscles to loosen, even when every part of me is screaming to run.

“The only thing I want to beg for is peace and quiet. Go annoy someone else with your tantrums.”

Hands clamp down on my thighs, and fingernails dig into my skin.

Great, now I’m going to be the one who’ll catch some kind of flesh-eating bacteria.

There’s a low growl before Leon answers, “Stupid, stupid girl. You have no idea what is in store for you. Since you’ve proven yourself too difficult to control, we’ve decided that you are going to need better motivation. You’re going to rot in this cell, and I’m going to visit you every day.”

I twist, hoping he’s distracted enough for me to knock him over, but his weight doesn’t budge.

Instead, he leans forward until his breath fans across the back of my neck. “I wonder, once you start birthing our children, whether you’ll finally decide to obey? Or if you’ll decide to abandon them and stay down here?”

Bile rises in my throat, and a fresh wave of fear floods me. I crane my neck to face him.

“Take your small dick energy and go fuck yourself,” I snap, and then spit in his face. The thick glob lands on his cheek.

Leon’s expression darkens.

Please get pissed off enough that you just want to hurt me.

He hums, “You know, I thought I craved your submission. But needing to fight you, to break you… It’s awakened something in me. I believe I prefer it. It makes dominating you so much more satisfying.”

With that sick admission, he finally eases off me.

Immediately, I try to kick him, but Leon grabs my legs before I can make contact. I try to wrench free, but he shoves his knee against my calves, painfully pinning me. My efforts to escape double when I feel my dress skimming against my thighs.

He pulls it up, and a moment later, his teeth sink into my exposed upper thigh.

I scream.

He groans, “That’s right, pet. Scream for me.

Let everyone here know who owns you,” he orders.

“I’m going to mark every inch of you. It takes repeated injuries to permanently scar immortal skin.

When I finally break you, you won’t be able to look at a single part of your body without feeling me inside of you – without remembering what happens when you try to fight me. ”

He bites my other thigh, and even though I try to hold it in, I whimper. Leon’s breathing grows excited at the sound.

‘Anger him,’ Cassandra’s memories urge.

A sob is lodged in the back of my throat, and I desperately try to choke it back. “The only thing I’ll remember is how much better Sin fucked me.”

Pain explodes in my head. My ear throbs, and I realize he just punched me. Tears blur my vision, but I still force a smile. “I begged him for it.”

A crazed look enters his eyes, and he strikes me again. “That vile mouth won’t be nearly as active when you’re begging to see your children.”

My head spins, and more fear claws up my spine. I shove it down and force out a mocking laugh. “You’re a little late. Sin fucked me for weeks. I’m probably already pregnant with his child.”

Leon bellows and punches me again. I’m reeling, but he doesn’t let up, wrenching my head back. My back bends painfully, but he doesn’t stop until my face is just inches from his.

“Such a filthy little liar. Did you really think I wouldn’t check that your birth control was still in place when I first brought you back? That I wouldn’t remove it myself?”

His whisper makes my skin crawl. The feeling of violation returns tenfold.

I fight against his hold, but he only laughs. “No, Vivian. I made sure your womb was pure and untouched for me.”

His other hand grips my dress, and I thrash harder, knowing exactly what he intends to do.

“You’re fucking mine, Vivian. And I will beat you, fuck you, and breed you, until you never fucking question who owns you, ever again,” Leon spits.

“Sir?” A cold, flat voice cuts in. A guard is standing outside the open cell door.

“I told you I was not to be disturbed!” Leon rages, yanking my dress down to cover me.

“Of course, Sir. However, Need is requesting your immediate presence. There’s been a new traitor identified,” the guard reports, staring straight ahead.

Leon gives an annoyed growl. “Fine.”

His weight lifts from me, and I scramble back to sitting. The metal bars slam back into place before I can even think to attack him.

The guard immediately starts back up the path, tapping the thin, metal bar with his baton as he goes.

Leon holds back, openly leering at me. “Not to fear, pet. I’ll be back very soon. After all, we have an eternity together.”

I shudder as he turns on his heel, striding after the guard.

Cold seeps into my bones, and the darkness in this godforsaken pit feels like it’s growing.

No matter how I look at things, there’s only one ending.

I’m going to die in here.

I just hope I can make it happen as quickly as possible.
