Chapter 10 - Nick

The night had gone nothing like Nick expected it to. He was supposed to break the whole thing with Reece off, but had so easily been convinced to reconsider everything.

Reece sucked dick like a paid professional, exceeding Nick’s expectations and his wildest dreams. He came untouched, just from sucking Nick off, something Nick knew he would never, for as long as he lived, ever forget.

After the talk, things just felt… easier.

Less complicated. Nick told Reece exactly what was on his mind, what he was and wasn’t up for, and now they could just be.

So it felt right to want to hang around when their movie was cut short.

But damn if Reece’s couch wasn’t comfy as hell, and Reece was warm and soft and smooth and smelled so damn good that Nick just… fell asleep.

When he woke in the middle of the night, unable to feel the arm tucked under a soundly sleeping Reece, Nick didn’t really want to move.

He cursed himself for being a little too comfortable, but knew he liked the way things were and wanted to keep it up.

Reece barely stirred when Nick finally removed himself.

He grabbed a blanket that was strewn across the back of the couch on one end and covered Reece up with it.

Then he left. They didn’t even fuck but Nick felt satisfied.

The next morning, Nick woke up late, and had a couple of texts from Reece.

Reece: Can’t believe you snuck out without fucking me

Reece: Meanie ??

Nick laughed and didn’t respond until after his shower.

Nick: I can come by after practice

He got dressed after sending it, wanting very much to fuck Reece again, even if he still hadn’t quite gotten over the blow job from heaven.

Nick was no stranger to getting his dick sucked, but it was the first time he ever came from it.

It was nothing like chasing his release.

It was Reece forcing it out of him with that perfect mouth of his, and it was everything.

It would only be the first of many times, Nick was certain.

Reece: I have work until late ??

That was not the response Nick was expecting or looking for. What he wanted to say was fuck work, but that wouldn’t do either of them any good.

Nick: I can come late

Reece: Okaaaay. I’ll text you. You might have to bring dinner. Unless you wanna eat me.

Nick snorted and tossed his phone on the bed, completely unaware of what he was truly getting himself into.

The post-college break offered Nick much more free time than he was used to.

It wouldn’t last forever, his most intense training camp yet fast approaching, but all this down time had really done Nick some good.

He was still working, meeting Declan and Alex every morning to warm up for the day.

Then he’d deal with all his other work. Reviewing endorsement contracts.

Local appearances. Commercials. And so much social media.

Nick despised social media and needed to focus his time and efforts on his game, so he’d gladly agreed when his agent found a capable team to manage it for him.

All he had to do was take his own selfies and record the occasional video to send off to the team and they handled the rest.

Thursdays aside, Nick and Declan were meeting up to play one-on-one at least twice a week, keeping themselves on top of their game while still getting the rest they needed.

Alex was always with them and Nick’s respect for him grew every session.

He never stopped helping them grow. He missed nothing. The guy was powerful.

Most of Nick’s time, however, was spent with Reece.

They’d established a sort of routine, meeting up every other day at least. Sometimes at Reece’s place, sometimes at Nick’s.

Sometimes at their friends’ too. On Tuesdays they watched Fashion Disaster—one of Reece’s favorite shows—had pizza, and Nick would stay until Reece had fallen asleep, or sometimes even stay overnight.

On the weekends, they went out, mingling with all the locals in their favorite clubs or even on the beach.

Wherever they were or whatever they did, it felt nice, and Nick had never been happier. His mind wasn’t racing. His limbs weren’t aching. And things between him and Reece couldn’t have been smoother.
