Chapter 1660 Headless Blood Savage (4)
Jiang Nv, though still towering, possessed a well-proportioned stature and a strikingly beautiful face. Within the Barbarian Tribe, she was the very symbol of purity and nobility.
Her face slightly pale, Jiang Nv spoke softly, "Jiang Guliao, my Jianghe Tribe has merited the Witch God’s favor. We shall not perish. At the crucial moment, the Great Warrior of the Witch God will descend from the heavens, rescuing my Jianghe Tribe from the abyss of eternal demise. And the invading Suyue Tribe will ultimately be utterly erased from the wilderness by the Great Warrior of the Witch God..."
Below, a Witch, also holding a Scepter but with painted patterns on her face, stepped forward, releasing silver-bell-like laughter: "Jiang! At this hour, you still spout wild, delusional heresies? Don't think feigning your purity will win the Witch God’s blessing. Our Barbarian Tribe values strength—true strength! Will you still not yield?"
Disdain flickered in Jiang Nv's eyes as she declared loudly, "Suyue! As a sacred Witch, you dare paint your face and consort wantonly with the tribe's warriors. I feel shame for you."
Suyue trembled with laughter: "Giggle! Giggle! The warriors of my Suyue Tribe all take pride in me! At my command, my warriors have campaigned far and wide, undefeated and invincible in every battle, conquering all before them. Can you, this pretentiously virtuous little thing, do the same?"
Jiang Nv said slowly, "You dishonor the witches' code; associating with you is shameful. One day, you will regret this."
Suyue roared with laughter: "Whether I regret it or not remains unknown. But today, I’ll make you regret. I will capture you and hand you over to my tribe's warriors for their pleasure. Giggle! Warriors! Do you like this pure Jiang Nv? Kill for me...!"
Suyue's voice acted like a catalyst. Immediately, the warriors behind her lifted their weapons and roared as one towards the sky. Amidst their bizarre cries, they launched a fierce assault on the Jianghe Tribe's Sacred Mountain.
The warriors behind Jiang Nv looked around nervously, not seeing the Witch God's warrior she had spoken of. One whispered urgently, "My Lady..."
Jiang Nv gazed into the distance and murmured, "He has come..."
It seemed a small hill had materialized out of thin air.
With a resounding crash, it fell beside the Sacred Mountain. An enormous Square Shield slammed down onto the ground with a loud 'Thunk!'.
The earth shook incessantly. Barbarian Warriors of lesser strength staggered, struggling to keep their footing.
Behind the Square Shield, a colossal figure slowly straightened up.
A loud 'Woof! Woof!' erupted: "Back off! Back off! All of you! The Divine Dog Border Collie, and the Boss Headless Blood Savage are here! Who dares fight and kill...?!"
The Jianghe Tribe warriors looked down and collectively gasped. One behind Jiang Nv couldn't help but whisper, trembling, "My Lady... that is the Headless Blood Savage... You, you..."
Jiang Nv's eyes lowered to gaze down.
By now, Sun Hao had straightened his body to his full height. He raised his Iron Hammer and Great Shield, roaring loudly, flexing his muscles to announce his arrival.
His massive torso lacked a head.
His entire body was blood-red. His shield and hammer were a dull, dried-blood crimson. At a glance, this Sun Hao seemed like a star of bloody Malignant Qi descending upon the battlefield poised for war.
Suyue frowned slightly and called out crisply, "The Suyue Tribe is conducting business here! Uninvolved barbarian, withdraw immediately! Or else, don't blame me for showing no mercy..."
Sun Hao's voice rumbled from his chest, "Border Collie, what does she mean?"
Border Collie barked, "Woof! Woof! She wants to challenge you to a fight!"
Sun Hao roared back: "Good! Then take my hammer!"
Without further ado, he struck. His Iron Hammer swung, instantly transforming into a sky-obscuring mallet. It crashed down fiercely towards the massed ranks of Suyue's tribe.
Suyue was severely shaken. She swayed slightly, darting swiftly to one side. The Barbarian Warriors near her, unwilling to yield, brought forth their iron axes or other weapons, attempting to block the falling hammer.
With a resounding 'BOOM!', the Iron Hammer slammed into the ground, narrowly missing Suyue.
But the warriors who had crowded close behind her had no time to react. They were crushed mercilessly into the earth by the descending hammer, blood spraying violently in all directions.
Suyue's face instantly blanched. She finally recalled the reports about the Jianghe Tribe. Pointing a trembling finger at Sun Hao, she cried out in horrified realization, "You are the Headless Blood Savage?!"
Border Collie leapt triumphantly on Sun Hao's shoulder, barking proudly: "Woof! Woof! Woof! Indeed! The big guy is the awesome Headless Blood Savage! And I... I am the one and only, peerless Divine Dog Border Collie! Woof! Woof! Woof! Didn’t I tell you to settle down and await orders? You wouldn't listen! Happy now, huh?"
Suyue looked back at the gory, splattered scene, then at Sun Hao’s overwhelming aura of ferocious Malignant Qi. An involuntary shiver wracked her body. Her eyes darted shiftily, and she cried out loudly: "Divine Dog! The Suyue Tribe shares a deep, bloody feud with the Jiang tribe! This vengeance is just within our grasp! As long as you, Mighty One, show clemency just this once, my Suyue Tribe is willing to honor and serve you! We guarantee you will live in luxury, utmost comfort…"
Border Collie was sorely tempted. It couldn't help but turn its gaze towards the Sacred Mountain, towards that beautiful and pure-faced Jiang Nv.
Before Jiang Nv could utter a word, Suyue giggled again: "Divine Dog! The Jiang Tribe is on the brink of destruction by me! They have no capacity left to offer you better treatment! Just give the order, wipe out this remnant stubborn resistance, and my Suyue Tribe will bend to your will! Want anything? It’s yours!"
A lascivious gleam entered Border Collie's eyes: "Does your tribe have... white wolves?"
Suyue paused briefly, then said, "We don't have white wolves, but we have Black Pearl Wolves! And Longhair Wolves! What is your meaning, Divine Dog?"
Border Collie's eyes gleamed brightly. It barked loudly: "Excellent! A deal! Boss Sun! It's yours! Destroy those brats up there! The life of luxury awaits us..."
Sun Hao swiveled his large, chest-mounted eyes to look upwards.
The warriors of the Jiang Nv Tribe paled dramatically, gripping their weapons tightly in unison. The terror of the Headless Blood Savage already chilled their bones. Now, this Headless Blood Savage had become their enemy's pawn and enforcer? Today truly seemed like a day of dire peril.
Jiang Nv remained perfectly calm. Her gaze locked directly onto Sun Hao's large eyes. She sank gracefully to her knees, kowtowing gently forward, her voice clear and crisp: "'Xing Tian knows no thousand years, Xingtian dances with shield and axe'. Great One. You are the fledgling form of our Witch God, Xingtian. Whatever you require, Great One, even to the point of eternal damnation, my Jianghe Tribe vows to fulfill you…"
Sun Hao, poised to heed Border Collie’s words and launch his assault on the Sacred Mountain, trembled violently. His eyes clouded over as they fixed upon the Saintess. He growled lowly: "'Xing Tian knows no thousand years, Xingtian dances with shield and axe'... 'Xing Tian knows no thousand years, Xingtian dances with shield and axe'... YOU... ALL... GO... DIE...!"
His Square Shield spun in his hand with a whoosh, then crashed forward with a thunderous impact.
The tribespeople of Jiang Nv, the warriors, all their expressions twisted in despair.
Only Jiang Nv remained utterly calm, still gazing at Sun Hao.
Sun Hao's immense Square Shield plummeted through the air with a mighty crash. But its direction had shifted. It slammed down onto the gathered Suyue Tribe warriors encircling the Jianghe Tribe.
BOOM! Blood and flesh flew everywhere.
A single blow from Sun Hao’s shield annihilated over thirty percent of the Suyue warriors.
Suyue screamed desperately: "Divine Dog! Wrong! You got it wrong...!"
Border Collie howled: "Woof! WRONG YOUR HEAD, DAMN IT! HOW COULD BOSS SUN BE WRONG?! IT'S YOU WE'RE DESTROYING, YOU SLUT! KILL THEM, BOSS SUN! WOOF!"
Sun Hao thrust himself upright. With berserk fury, he brandished his Great Iron Hammer and charged towards the Suyue Tribe warriors.
Suyue shrieked in terror, spun around, and fled. Her voice rose in a panicked order: "RETREAT...!"
The mighty Headless Blood Savage, formidable enough armies would struggle to withstand, hammer and shield shaking heaven and earth, was utterly beyond anything ordinary Barbarian Warriors could resist. At Suyue’s single command, her tribal warriors scattered wildly in all directions, fleeing across the mountains and wilderness.
Sun Hao's Square Shield whirled and spun, smashing relentlessly into skulls of Barbarian Warriors, knocking them unconscious with brutal force.
His Iron Hammer showed no mercy either, shattering heads one after another. Striding vast strides as if crossing the sky, his hands moved like dark clouds, grabbing relentlessly at fleeing Barbarian Warriors, hurling them back one by one to the foot of the Sacred Mountain.
Even the swiftest Suyue could not escape. Sun Hao’s huge hand seized her easily.
Yet, before Sun Hao could simply knock her out, Suyue giggled coyly: "Hehe... Headless Blood Savage... Descendant of Xingtian... So that's it... I see now... But I, Suyue, am not so easily caught... you know?"
Her body disintegrated into a wisp of black mist as she giggled, evaporating into the air and disappearing without a trace.
Sun Hao paused, momentarily puzzled. He glanced around left and right, then gave a slight shake (as if a head atop his shoulders) and dismissed the vanished Suyue. He put effort back into capturing the warriors Suyue had brought.
In total, over a thousand Suyue Tribe warriors had charged the Jianghe Sacred Mountain. Yet less than a hundred escaped intact. The rest were either directly pulverized into meat paste or knocked senseless by Sun Hao and piled like cordwood at the mountain's base. This included even Suyue's mightiest Barbarian Warrior champions. None had been a match for Sun Hao, barely worth a single encounter.
The warriors atop the Jianghe Sacred Mountain gazed at the invincible, frenzied Headless Blood Savage. Boundless terror flooded their hearts.
