Chapter 16 #2
That morning, he had to talk her out of trying to come get a massage with him.
Cheyenne could feel that Canyon’s energy was off, but she was too happy to be free to stress it.
She had caught him by surprise, and it had been six years since they were together.
She knew that she had to ease back into their marriage.
Whatever he had been doing and whoever he had been seeing, it was a wrap. His wife was back.
Kirah looked up at Amar. His arm was around her, and they were cuddled up on her couch watching a movie. “You gon’ miss me while I’m gone?” She was leaving in the morning to go to Miami for four days with her homegirls.
“I might miss you a lil’ bit,” he replied, and she playfully pinched him.
Her trip would be the test for him. Amar would be able to see if he really would miss her. Since Heiress was no longer in the picture, he saw Kirah every other day. She was becoming a constant in his life, and it was nothing he had done on purpose. It just happened that way.
“What time your flight leave?”
“Three pm.”
Amar’s phone rang, and he looked at the screen even though he knew if it was business, he wasn’t answering.
It was almost 9 pm, and he was done for the night.
He saw that Heiress was calling, but he didn’t answer just out of respect for Kirah.
He silenced the phone and placed it back on the couch, but then he started thinking about what she might want.
He hated to ignore her. The movie ended twenty minutes later, and he removed his arm from around Kirah.
He rarely spent the night with her just because he didn’t want to get into that habit.
They were getting closer, but they weren’t in a relationship.
If he started spending the night all the time, that’s what she would start expecting.
Amar was still single, and he didn’t even want to start the routine of being questioned.
Her period was on, so they couldn’t have sex.
Amar stood up and pulled some money from his pocket. All he had on him was $3,000, and he gave her $2,800 of it. “I’m ‘bout to be out. Have fun in Miami and be safe.”
Kirah stood up, and he smacked her on the ass. She stood on the tips of her toes and kissed him before walking him to the door. In the car, the first thing Amar did was call Heiress back. When she answered, it sounded like she had been crying.
“Are you busy?” she asked in a nasally voice.
“Nah,” Amar replied slowly. “What’s good?”
“I got a call today that Kevin had been released from jail. That nigga barely did two years for what he did to me. I’ve been fucked up all day. I’m not scared that he’ll come looking for me, I’m just I don’t know. I started drinking, and then I started crying. I’m a fucking mess.”
Amar wasn’t used to Heiress being vulnerable. Even when she would wake up from having nightmares, she never talked about it. “Where you at?”
“I’m at my apartment. I’m not in Chicago anymore.”
“You want me to come over?”
“Please.”
Amar ended the call and went to her with no questions asked.
On the way to her apartment, he thought about the fact that he had just left Kirah.
But he was single. Amar could do what he wanted to do.
When Heiress let him in the apartment, he could see that she was stressed.
Amar took the red plastic cup from her hand.
“If this is what has you so emotional, then you need to stop drinking it,” he stated in a gentle tone. Heiress wasn’t generally an emotional person. At least not in front of him.
“I don’t even know why I’m freaking out. Were you busy? Were you with her?” she bit the inside of her cheek while she waited on him to reply.
He damn sure wasn’t used to her questioning him. Amar raised one eyebrow. “Does it matter?”
“Yes, it matters. It matters because you wanted me. You weren’t taking pictures for her to post on the gram a month ago. I went to Chicago, and I changed the dynamic of things. Now, you want her.” She looked like she was about to cry, and Amar concluded that she had to be drunk for real.
“Heiress, why does who I want matter? You needed me, and I came.”
“Kevin fucked me up, and now I can’t be happy. I deserve to be happy, and I want to be happy with you.”
Amar exhaled a small breath. “You need to call it a night.”
“I’m not drunk! I’ve been drinking, but I’m not that drunk. I’m miserable. I’m miserable without you in my life, but I don’t want you to love me. Every nigga that ever loved me or claims that he loves me gets crazy as hell. If I try to end things, I get beat on and damn near killed.”
“First of all, I’m not like any lame ass nigga that you’ve ever dealt with.
I’d never beat a female because she didn’t want to be with me.
That didn’t have a damn thing to do with him loving you.
Them little ass boys you used to fuck with, and a grown ass man are two totally different things, baby. I can assure you of that.”
“I missed you, Amar, and if you want to be with her now, that’s okay.
I always hid my feelings when I dealt with you, but that’s a wrap.
If you and her become exclusive, I’ll leave you alone.
I won’t call you or text you but for now, I need you to know that I’ve been thinking about you all day every day since the last time I saw you. ”
Shorty was in her bag for real. Expressing feelings and shit had never been her.
She was standing in her living room in a sports bra and boy shorts, her hair was a mess, and her eyes were red and puffy, yet she looked sexy as hell to Amar while she confessed her feelings for him.
He erased the distance between them, and they kissed like two long lost lovers that had been apart for years.
Heiress savored the flavor of spearmint gum on his tongue.
She wanted the moment to last forever as their tongues danced.
He palmed her ass roughly and massaged her ass cheeks as his dick grew hard from their kiss.
Heiress damn near broke a nail trying to get his jeans down, and he didn’t even have the time to take her panties off, he just yanked them to the side.
His ass was barely touching her couch before his dick was entering her forcefully, and she was crying out in ecstasy.
Amar pulled her shoulder-length hair aggressively, as she rode him fast and hard.
With his free hand, he freed her breasts from her bra, so he could watch her tits bounce up and down while she rode him.
“You missed this dick?” he panted, and she nodded feverishly. God, she had missed him and his dick.
“I want you so fucking bad, Amar,” she moaned before crushing her lips into his.
He was stunned. It was damn near funny how women had perfect ass timing, and he was being sarcastic by thinking that her timing was perfect.
The moment Kirah was all into him, Heiress wanted him.
He could be a jerk and keep it how it had been the whole time, so he could still rock with Kirah.
Or he could choose. It wasn’t a decision that he was willing to make at the moment.
Amar stood up, bent Heiress over the couch, and fucked her savagely from the back until she was crying real tears from an orgasm so intense that it sucked the seed out of him, and he came all in her.
That was some of the best sex they had ever had.
Once they were cleaned up, she yawned. “You good to sleep by yourself tonight?”
She shook her head no, and he chuckled at her. Amar didn’t really like the fact that Heiress had him wrapped around her finger, but she did. She led him to her bedroom where he undressed and got in her bed.
