Khalil

One Year Later

“Say go, KJ. That’s my KJ. Go KJ. That’s my KJ,” I rapped along to the Wayne song playing on the Bluetooth, bouncing my baby boy in my arms. I had a moment of déjà vu and chuckled to myself, remembering I used to sing to Kiy in my living room when she was a baby.

Having my junior only added to the pure happiness I had been experiencing since Piper and I got back together.

It didn’t take long for me to manifest my boy. I had finessed my way in Piper’s pussy since we started back having sex over a year ago.

When we returned from Jamaica, Piper got extremely sick. She swore up and down that she had caught a virus or something, but I knew the truth.

My boy had touched down in egg land.

When we went to the doctor and confirmed that she was indeed pregnant, I threw a big celebration with all of our family and friends.

Since Piper didn’t want to be pregnant walking down the aisle, we hurried and set shit in motion for us to have her dream wedding.

We hired a wedding planner by the name of Pasha Hill from Perfect Destiny, and she and her team did their big one with making everything flow nice and smooth.

Not gon’ lie; a nigga cried thug tears seeing how beautiful she looked walking down the aisle to me. It was what I always envisioned, and our vow renewal was the new beginning to our happily ever after.

Of course, motherfuckas thought I was playing about them trying to fuck up my love life or fuck with me period, so I had no choice but to make examples out of them.

I was convinced Anais surely had some chromosomes and brain cells missing when she tried to sue me for defamation of character and assault with a deadly weapon.

She tried to show footage of me entering her home with Piper and pulling my gun, but I had been to Anais’s house too many times.

I knew where the cameras were and how to avoid them shits.

Sad to say, she didn’t win that case and was now working at Hilton’s Farm, shoveling cow shit like I said she would—courtesy of my PR manager’s father, Mr. Greg Hilton.

Her weak-ass daddy moved to Arizona to become a chairman on the board of the Arizona Wranglers, but he got demoted to assistant coach, so he couldn’t fund his daughter’s lifestyle like he used to anymore.

Shame.

It turned out that Lamar was the one to convince Anais to sue me, so my pops and I bought the bank he worked in, fired his bum ass, and got him blackballed from working at any other bank ever again.

He now worked at Chicken Shack.

After getting rid of all the toxins in our lives, we were able to finally be at peace and enjoy our time and family. We didn’t win the championship this year, but I didn’t care.

I had won something worth much more than any championship I’d accomplished.

Seven rings, MVP, a loving family, healthy kids, and a beautiful, big-booty, big-tittied, successful-ass wife.

It couldn’t get any better than that.

“Khalil.” I turned to see Piper standing in the entryway of the living room with a sad look on her face.

Immediately, I shut off the music, shifted my son in my arms, and walked over to her.

“What’s wrong, baby? Don’t tell me somebody died.”

“No . . . I’m pregnant!” She burst into tears, and I moved closer, pulling her into my arms.

“What you mean, bae? I mean, how that happen?”

“I told you to pull out, and you didn’t listennn!” she wailed.

“When? I don’t remember that.”

“On our anniversary!” she yelled and mushed my head.

I rolled the day back in my mind and vaguely remembered her saying that. We were both lit after a night of drinking with Isaiah and Nicole, and our bedroom became a sex dungeon. That was a wild-ass night of fun.

“Bae, I don’t remember you saying that. I thought you were on birth control.”

“I couldn’t get an appointment until the next month because they were booked. That’s why I told you to pull out.”

“Damn, mama. I promise I didn’t hear you. I wouldn’t have done you like that two months after having my son. But, in my defense, you was throwing that motherfucka back off that new Juvie song, so I can’t take all the blame.”

She snatched away from me. “Give me my son,” she said, taking him out of my arms and kissing his cheeks. “Donnie!”

Donnie appeared moments later.

“Yes, queen?”

“Can you make me some chamomile tea with honey, please? Bring it into the library for me. I need to relax and read.”

“Absolutely.” He rushed off, and Piper turned back to me.

“I want a hundred thousand dollars wired into my account in the next thirty minutes, the confirmation ticket for an all-inclusive trip to Cancun for myself, my friends, and my sister for next month, then another confirmation ticket to Belize as a push gift.” She turned on her heels but pivoted, coming back over to me.

“Oh yeah. I would like that new Genesis in the driveway by tomorrow morning. All black, black rims, with the burgundy interior.”

Damn. Since I knew she’d never beat my ass physically, she decided to beat the shit out of my pockets.

I folded my arms across my chest and looked at her. “Is that all, queen?” I smirked.

“Don’t be cute, nigga. I don’t see you pulling out a phone to make it happen. You didn’t have a problem not pulling out the pussy to make this baby happen.”

“Damn, mama. Can I’m sorry be enough?”

“Hell no. I told you we should wait until KJ was at least a year before we had another one, but you didn’t listen. I know you heard me, with your lying ass. You gon’ pay like you weigh for this sorry baby.”

I licked my lips and tucked the bottom one to try to hide my smile.

I honestly didn’t know why she was tripping.

She didn’t have to lift a finger if she didn’t want to.

Between Kyani, my moms, her moms, Nana, Nicole, Is, Nia, who had become her best damn friend nowadays, her friends, Kiyanne, and me, Piper had to fight to get time with KJ. We had a whole village behind us.

This baby would be no different.

“I know you’re not smiling!”

“I’m not, baby. I swear.”

“You better not be.” She walked up to me, and I looked down into her big, beautiful, brown eyes. “Give me a kiss.” I obliged her and grabbed her fat, juicy ass. “I love you.”

“I love you more, baby.”

“Get to it. You ain’t got much time.” She walked away, and I pulled out my phone to call my assistant to get all this shit done.

I watched her ass sway all the way down the hall until she disappeared.

I chuckled to myself, thinking back to when we first met. She wouldn’t even take a dollar from me then. I had to put that full court pressure on her ass just to get her to comply. We may have fallen off the cliff, but we had a parachute to ensure we had a soft landing.

And I wouldn’t change shit about it.

The End.
