Chapter 15
Noah
My stomach dropped like I had missed a step on the stairs when Lew grinned at me, and warmth spread from my core to my limbs.
He’ll stay the night.
“Didn’t you say something about food earlier?” I asked him. It was about dinner time, and I was ravenous after the afternoon’s excitement.
Not just for food, though. Christ, I was so freaking horny I would blow like a teenager if he so much as looked at my cock.
“Oh, yeah, I grabbed Thai food for us from a place in Kincardie.” He sat up and extracted himself from my hug reluctantly. I added hesitation to the mental file I kept with proof that he wanted me as much as I wanted him.
He. Wants. Me.
I’d suspected as much at Windmouth Castle, but our post-run-and-gaming-makeout session had confirmed it for me.
And he’s staying the night!
I followed him into the kitchen, smiling at his broad back.
Use me, Lewis Sinclair!
“I hope you like what I picked,” he said and leaned against my kitchen counter.
It creaked slightly under his weight. I supposed he was roughly five hundred pounds, with his bulging thighs and cute paunch.
I couldn’t wait to snuggle my ass into it.
And those pecs… Then I caught his eye and tore mine away.
Oh shit, you’re staring.
Lew turned around and stirred the pot.
Oops, staring again.
But seriously, his ass was so fucking good.
“Tell me what I can do to help, okay?” Lewis threw me a glance.
“We need forks, spoons, and a bottle opener in the living room. Grab those?” he suggested. “I think it’s better if we eat in there. I want you to stay warm.”
“Okay.” I went to work.
He joined me in the living room a few minutes later, carrying two steaming bowls of soup in his hands. He set them down on the coffee table, got the other bag he’d brought, and sat next to me.
“Oh God, Lewis,” I groaned when I’d taken the first bite of the spicy dish. “It’s delicious!”
His ears twitched and I was so sure he’d have blushed if he could. “I’m glad you like it. I wasn’t sure what you favour, but I wanted to surprise you.” For the second time, flustered Lewis took my breath away.
“Sorry I didn’t come to see you at all this week,” he said after a heavy silence.
“Don’t be. You have your life, and you’re busy.” I shrugged.
“I’m still sorry.” His gentle voice caressed my insides. “It was so wild.” As he launched into a recollection of his week, I spooned more soup into my mouth and enjoyed the warmth spreading through me. Only it didn’t just come from the food but from who I got to share this moment with.
“Tell me more about the workshops.”
“Oh, it’s nothing, really. It was Perla’s idea.”
“Come on, stop with the false modesty.” I nudged his elbow. “It’s a great idea, but it was only an idea. You are the one making it a reality.”
“I suppose.” He smiled into his bowl as he emptied it out before setting it back on the coffee table. “We’re going to have twelve people at the distillery for a weekend,” he explained. “They’ll get a crash course in brewing, taste our beers, enjoy great food, and just have fun.”
I put my bowl next to his, yawned and then rested my cheek on his arm. “Sounds great.”
Lew hummed. He slid his arm around my shoulders again and hitched a thumb under my chin to tilt my face up for a kiss.
A thick layer of snow covered everything outside the cottage by the time we unglued our lips and staggered into the bathroom to brush our teeth before bed. We stood next to each other, and our arms bumped occasionally in the small space. Once or twice Lew caught my eye in the mirror and smiled.
This domestic intimacy was even more intense than kissing him.
“Alright, time for bed,” I announced after he’d put more logs on the grate.
Lew cocked a heavy eyebrow at me.
“What? You can’t sleep out here.”
“There’s a fireplace,” he explained to me like I was five, but he softened the tease with a wink.
“D’oh. There’s a fire as long as you are awake.
It will have died down by four in the morning, unless you keep getting up to add logs.
” I explained in a patient tone but let the snark shine through.
“So, Lew, you can pretend getting up every few hours to feed it or succumbing to hypothermia is manly or you can get your ass in the bed with me. You need sleep.” My words wore down his last bit of resistance and his shoulders dropped. He heaved a deep sigh of submission.
“The bed is big enough for both of us, okay?”
He held my gaze for a long moment, then seemed to realise that it was pointless to argue with me. With a shrug he walked past me into the bedroom. I grabbed the blankets off the couch, ignoring Mr Pickles’ indignant meow, and spread them on top of the duvet.
“Okay,” I trilled “Blankie fort it is.”
I turned off the light and joined him under the covers, shivering with cold. The bedframe creaked when he lowered himself onto the mattress.
“Come a bit closer, okay?” He spoke quietly into the dark bedroom. “I promise I won’t bite.”
Well what if I want you to?
Would he then? I scooted back over, and he slid his arm over my waist.
“By the way, Bright,” he muttered into my nape as he slung his arm around my waist, “I’ll take you to Kirkmuir next week. I haven’t forgotten.”
Lew dragged me even nearer and fell asleep soon after. It took me a while to calm down enough to even think about sleeping.
Funny retorts I could have given him over the course of the evening popped up in my head, as usual way too late. Eventually, though, I fell asleep.
I woke up in the night in a cocoon of warmth, with a fuzzy brain, yet more content than I had felt in months. It took me a while to grasp what I was feeling. Something was restraining me, there was a vaguely familiar scent in my nose, and soft rumbling sounded in my ears.
Quite suddenly the puzzle pieces slid into place, waking me so completely that I gasped.
The things restraining me were his arms, which held me tight to his chest, and that sound, a purring, intensified as I struggled, as if to soothe me.
The scent in my nose was, I discovered, that of the musky fur in the crook of his elbow smushed under my cheek, so bloody soft against my skin.
I knew I should free myself, should roll away and pretend nothing had happened, but I couldn’t bring myself to do it. Being near Lewis again had rekindled the gentle flames of my first love. It burned brightly in my heart, warming me to the bone.
And he felt so good. There was no telling hardness, only a fluffy body pressed to my back. There was so much softness in this man.
Nothing about me was soft. My nipples had puckered into hard peaks under the arm flung possessively around me, and my cock was ready for some action.
Damn it. I’m hard as nails.
I doubted I’d be able to fall asleep again and sighed, settling carefully back in place so my pyjamas rubbed at my dick, meaning I got some friction, at least.
As if I’d screamed in his ear, Lewis flinched awake so suddenly that I cried out in shock.
“Holy shit, did you have a nightmare?” I gasped.
The purring stopped abruptly, and the big kitty behind me froze. A few moments later he cleared his throat and I felt him inch his body away from mine. His throat clicked when he swallowed hard and freed me from his embrace.
“Sorry Noah, I—” His hoarse whisper trailed off.
What is he sorry for?
I didn’t let him pull his arm away and dug my fingers into his plush fur to keep him in place. Another low growl rumbled in his chest. It travelled through me and zapped me to life. A soft moan escaped my lips before I could even think of bottling it up.
Lew’s free hand slid under my head and he turned it around so he could kiss me. The other trailed down my front, his fur tickling my stomach where my top had travelled up in the night.
“Fuuuck,” I cursed into the kiss when he headed straight for my cock and squeezed me.
“Shh, Puppy. Let me make you feel good so you can go back to sleep.”
Fuck. Me.
He pushed my trousers down my legs until I was half naked, then his furry hand wrapped around my aching length.
I rolled onto my back and spread my thighs to give him more room. He purred and ran his palm over my cock head. I had already leaked.
“Mmh.” He hummed and nuzzled his face into my cheek. “So wet for me, Puppy.”
Holy. Fucking. Shit.
I clenched my ass to stave off my orgasm. It was just so good. I wanted to enjoy it longer than thirty seconds.
Then Lew took up a rhythm that made my toes curl into the mattress, and I knew I wouldn’t be able to hold out.
Words failed me, and all I could do was hold onto him and let him drive me out of my mind.
“Let go for me, Noah,” Lew murmured in my ear. “It’s okay, I’ve got you.”
With an embarrassing little whimper I lost control over my body.
Lew growled when I came all over his stroking fingers in long spurts. The kiss that followed wasn’t hungry but soft and almost sweet.
“Sleep now. I’ll still be here in the morning.” He kissed me again and within moments I drifted back to sleep.
