Chapter Eleven

REILLY

THIS DINNER IS the worst double date I have ever been on with Holly. I’ve been sitting here bored out of my mind, listening to her date drone on and on about being a sports teacher. Newsflash, my twin sister is a freaking teacher. I don’t need a play by play on your job, mate.

I’m also waiting for Bray to reach his boiling point. I can tell he’s holding back. I’ve seen the death glare he’s been giving the guy each time his eyes spend way too much time on my breasts. Why? I have no idea. Holly’s are literally identical—we have the same size and shape breasts.

His leering creeps me out majorly, but I try not to let it show. I’m trying to distract Bray from the fact that he wants to reach across the table and ring this dude’s neck. At least that’s the vibes I’m getting from him. By the looks Holly keeps shooting me, she is getting the same vibes.

I slide my hand up his thigh. I’m beginning to come around to this whole boyfriend/girlfriend thing more and more.

If Bray’s my boyfriend, that means I get to touch him as much as I want, wherever I want, and that is very appealing.

To have twenty-four hours, seven days a week access to his body, a girl could only be so lucky.

Oh, wait! I’m that girl. I’m that lucky, huh.

My hand continues to travel up his thigh until I reach the inner most upper part of his thigh.

He shifts in his seat. My hand continues its slow pursuit of junior.

I finally reach my target and rub my hand over his crotch.

I keep my touch light, almost featherlight.

I can feel his cock harden under my fingers.

Bray leans in and whispers in my ear, “You’re playing with fire, baby.”

I smile back at him, challenging him to bring whatever he has. At least my distraction technique has worked. He is not looking like he’s ready to jump the table just yet.

I pick up my glass of wine with my free hand and gulp a mouthful.

Before I can even swallow, Bray’s fingers slam inside me.

And the suddenness of the intrusion makes me choke.

Wine comes spitting out of my mouth, projecting all the way across the table and landing across the front of the shirt Holly’s date is wearing.

I’m still recovering, Bray’s fingers still buried in my pussy, when Holly’s date pushes his chair back and jumps up. “What the fuck? Are you a fucking idiot?” he yells in my direction.

Just as fast as those fingers were inside me, they were ripped out, as Bray jumps over the table. Like literally freaking ninja jumps over the table. It all happens so fast. I haven’t even recovered from my choking episode and Bray has Holly’s date by the throat.

I can see his body vibrating from here. Holly moves around the table to my side; she does not do well with confrontation or violence.

“Who the fuck do you think you’re talking to like that, fucker?” Bray growls into his face. He doesn’t give him time to answer, if he could come up with an answer. The guy’s motionless, frozen like a deer caught in headlights.

“I’ll tell you who, my fucking girlfriend, my queen, that’s who. Nobody talks to her like that and goes unscathed.”

Holly’s eyes widen as she mouths the words to me. Girlfriend? Queen? I shrug in answer because honestly, how does one respond to that? I think this boyfriend label has definitely gone to his ego-induced head.

“Ahh, baby, you need to tone it down a notch.” I put on my sugary sweet voice and walk around the table. It’s nice that Bray was quick to stick up for me, but I’ve been sticking up for myself for a very long time now and I don’t plan on stopping just because I have Bray in my corner.

I push myself between the two men, facing Bray. He looks at my hands on his chest and a confused look crosses his features, then he brings his eyes to meet mine. “Bray, I need you to let go of the douche, please.”

He lets go but does not take his eyes off the guy. He hooks his right arm around my waist and turns to lead me away.

“Wait a sec, I just have to do one thing,” I say sweetly to him. He lets go of me. I turn and walk up to the douche and without saying a word, I bring my knee up to meet his balls. He drops to the ground, screaming out curses.

“Okay, now I’m ready to go,” I tell Bray and walk past him to Holly, who is still standing on the other side of the table with wide eyes. I grab her hand, pick up both of our purses and walk out of the entrance. I expect Bray to be right behind us, except when I get outside, he’s not there.

“What on earth was that, Rye?” Holly asks. “Your date was a douche.”

“No, not that part. I got that loud and clear. What on earth have you gone and done to Bray?”

“What do you mean? I haven’t done anything.” I shrug.

“Rye, that guy really likes you, like, like likes you.” She uses air quotes around all the likes.

“I know.” I smile. Because he really does like me. I’m a little fonder of him than I’m willing to admit right now too.

“Rye, he thinks you’re his girlfriend. You can’t play around with this one. He’s practically Alyssa’s family now.” I know where she is coming from. It’s my own fault my twin sister thinks I’m so incapable of having a normal relationship. But I am going to give this a good, hot shot.

Just in secret, mostly.

“I’m not playing around, Holl. We agreed to give the whole exclusive dating thing a go. Bray has this thing about being a boyfriend for the first time ever and he’s taking it a bit far, that’s all. But we are keeping this under wraps. You can’t tell anyone yet. I’m not ready for that.”

She nods her head. I know I can trust her—she is the one person other than my mum and dad who I trust with anything. “Sure, I won’t tell anyone.” Then a huge grin spreads across her face.

“What the hell are you so happy about?” I ask.

“Oh, you know, just that you finally have a steady boyfriend. I honestly never thought I’d see the day. Bray, you are dating Bray, Rye. Have you seen the guy?” Holly waggles her eyebrows up and down.

I laugh. “Yes, I have seen him. All of him. And let me tell you, if that’s the package my future husband comes with, I’m okay with that,” I tell her.

“Wait, your future husband? Oh God, please tell me you are not pregnant, Reilly Lili!” Oh great, the teacher voice has made an appearance.

It’s also at this precise moment that Bray decides to catch up to us. Can my luck get any crappier?

“I’m certain my boys are good swimmers, babe. I mean, how can they not be.” He motions his hands up and down his body, my eyes following their movement. “They aren’t good enough to swim through rubber though.”

He addresses Holly, “She’s one hundred percent not knocked up, Holly.”

“Wait, what makes you think you’re the only guy who’s patted my kitty in the last few weeks?” I ask him. He totally is, but he doesn’t know that.

Bray’s jaw tightens and clenches, his eyes narrow. Oh, he’s mad. I have to work really hard to maintain my poker face and not laugh at his reaction. Then as quickly as he got mad, his cocky ass grin emerges.

“I know you haven’t been with anyone else. Any other fucker would pale in comparison to me. You and I both know that, babe.” He adds a wink on the end for good measure.

I shrug my shoulders. “Meh, I’ve had better.” I fake out boredom.

“Challenge accepted,” he says then turns to Holly. “Holly, do you need a ride home?”

“No, thank God. I could not think of anything worse than being stuck in a car with you two lovebirds. I’ll see you tomorrow, Rye.” Holly hugs me. “Bye, Bray, good luck,” she says as she walks over to her car.

Bray grabs my hand, leading me to his car. “You and I are in for one hell of a night, babe. You questioned my manhood—junior was very offended. I’m going to spend all night erasing the memory of any other fucker.”

Right, I offended his cock, I’m sure. “Huh, you might want to stop off for some energy drinks then, hunny.”

As he’s about to retort, his phone starts blaring out “Hey Brother” by Avicii. “Sorry, it’s Zac. I have to take this,” he says, as he answers the call at the same time as he opens my door.

“Yeah?” That’s how he answers the call, and that’s all I hear of it. He hangs up before he makes his way around the car.

“We have to make a quick stop at the club. Zac’s not going in tonight, so I have to do a few things. Do you want me to drop you at my place, or do you want to come with?” he asks. It doesn’t escape my attention that dropping me home to my own house was not an option.

“Ahh, I’ll come to the club. I’ve got some things to do there anyway.”

By the time we make it to the club, I have a whole list of text messages with demands from Zac. Apparently, he’s not planning on coming in for a few days, and I need to make sure Bray doesn’t burn the place down.

“Does Zac often take days off?” I ask Bray.

“I’ve never known him to take a day off before. Why?” “Lyssa must be in a worse way than she was letting on

if Zac’s staying home with her. I should call her.”

“I stayed at Zac’s last night. Alyssa hasn’t come out of their bedroom yet. I think maybe just give them some time. Zac’s not about to let anyone near her right now anyway.”

“It’s funny you think he would be able to stop me from seeing her.” I laugh.

“Shh, I do not want to be caught in here, Bray,” I whisper.
