Chapter Eight #2

“That fight at the end? He wasn’t even near Lexie,’ Gem pointed out.

That was true. “He’s been running his fucking mouth all game.”

“Let. It. Go.” Gem sighed and released him.

Luka straightened his uniform. He refused to respond.

“Luka. Let it go.”

“They threatened you! Said to put you on the ice so he could show you how a real man plays hockey!”

Gem laughed, making Luka take a step back.

“Why are you laughing?” Luka wasn’t finding any of this funny.

“Do you think I haven’t heard that before? Or worse? Come on, Luka. I’m not even playing,” Gem said.

“But—”

Gem shook his head and smiled. “Baby. One game. One more goal. One more period. We are so close to winning this. Don’t lose your mind. They will push you. Don’t let them. If you’re in the penalty box, then you’re not protecting your teammates.”

“Fuck!” Gem was right.

“For me, Luka. No more fights tonight,” Gem said.

Luka nodded.

“If you’re a good boy, you’ll get a reward,” Gem promised.

Luka shuffled closer. “What kind of reward?”

“You won’t find out if you get into a fight,” Gem warned. “Then you will be punished.”

“No fighting,” Luka replied.

“Good boy,” Gem said quietly.

“Kotov! Get your ass in here!” Coach Grimes shouted from the locker room door.

“The Grim Reaper beckons,” Luka said with a grin.

“I swear to fucking god, Luka,” Gem said. “Go.”

“I’m going!” Luka headed off, already thinking about what kind of reward he wanted.

Gem

He was going to redden his boy’s ass so hard.

Gem couldn’t believe that Luka had gotten into a fight after he’d been warned. New York was known for pushing for fights in order to get an advantage for their opposing player being in the penalty box and Luka had allowed them to push him into a fight.

If Luka sitting out for two minutes had resulted in New York scoring, Gem would be even more pissed off. Instead, he was already coming up with a plan on how to show his boy that Luka really should have listened to him.

In his pocket, Gem’s phone vibrated. Since he was currently leaning against the wall outside the locker room waiting on said boy, Gem pulled out his cell.

There was already a string of messages.

‘Why aren’t you playing?’

‘I knew you were hurt!’

‘Mom and Aries have both called me to see what I know. And I don’t know anything! If you’re going to pull some bullshit, the least you could do is give me a heads-up.’

‘I mean it! Asshole! Healthy scratch my ass!’

Gem chuckled before reading more of Nix’s messages.

‘New York are a bunch of assholes.’

‘Like you! You should have been drafted to New York!’

‘No seriously! New York is full of assholes!’

‘Kotov should have pounded that guy!’

‘Ha! Luka totally won that fight!’

‘Is he your bestie yet? I need to learn to throw a right like that! Just don’t tell Evan. He says I’m not meant to be a fighter. I totally think I should be the fighter out of the famous triplets.’

Nix did not need to start fighting. That was the last fucking thing that Gem needed. Damn it! Now he had something else to worry about.

‘You can’t be the fighter. Evan would be pissed if someone messed up your pretty face,’ Gem sent.

‘Asshole!’ Nix responded.

‘Are you okay? Injured? I won’t tell anyone,’ Nix sent a second message quickly.

‘Coach is pissed that I didn’t tell him about my ribs. Benched me for two games,’ Gem explained.

‘Good. You deserve that and you know it,’ Nix replied.

‘I know I do. And I learned my lesson. I hated sitting out,’ Gem admitted.

‘Good. You don’t always have to be the strong stubborn asshole,’ Nix wrote.

Gem sighed. Since when did his brother give him advice? ‘I know.’

‘You didn’t answer my question!’

Gem replied with three question marks.

‘Is Luka your bestie yet? I know it might be hard since you’re such an asshole and all that but you need to try. Best friends forever!’

Jeez, Nix was just on a roll tonight.

‘Yep, he loves me,’ Gem responded with a grin. Nix might not be able to see it but Gem enjoyed having something that Nix would kill to know.

‘Seriously, dude! He’s new to town. Kotov needs a best friend!’

‘I’m being friendly.’ That wasn’t even a lie. Gem was being very friendly to his newest teammate.

‘What? You didn’t scowl at him before the game friendly?’

‘No, I fucked him into the mattress before the game friendly.’ Gem was proud of that message.

‘I hate you,’ Nix sent. ‘And I’m telling Mom that you lied to your coach.’

Gem chuckled. ‘See you at the end of the week, brat.’

‘I can’t wait to crush your dreams of making the playoffs,’ Nix wrote. ‘Love you.’

‘Dream on,’ Gem responded. ‘Love you too.’

Gem responded to his mom and Aries, telling them both that he was fine and would call them later. He didn’t need his family to interrupt his evening. Not with the plans Gem had for his boy.

He was just slipping his phone back into the pocket of his dark gray suit pants when the locker door opened and his teammates started to file out.

They nodded in his direction, but Gem didn’t have anything to say to them. Gem only had one person that he wanted to speak to.

That was until Tomas stepped out and scowled at him.

Gem pushed off the wall.

Tomas glanced up and down the hall before crossing to him.

Lifting a brow in response to Tomas’s intense glare, he waited.

“Something going on between you and Kotov?” Tomas asked quietly.

“How is that your business?” Gem questioned.

“It is when whatever is going on happens just off the ice,” Tomas replied. “Where cameras could have picked it up.”

“Fuck!” Gem spat. Tomas was right.

“I’ve already checked the internet for anything on the two of you,” Tomas said. “You seem to be clear. This time.”

“Thanks, man,” Gem nodded his appreciation. He should have thought about the cameras, the fans. Gem had just been so pissed off. It felt different now that Luka was his boy. Or more accurately now that Gem was aware who Luka was to him.

“So…” Tomas drawled.

“There is something going on,” Gem admitted. Tomas was a friend. To both him and Luka. That didn’t mean that Gem would just start confessing to shit.

“That’s all you’ve got to say?” Tomas asked.

“Without talking to my boy first, yes.” Gem took Luka’s privacy seriously.

“Your boy,” Tomas repeated. “That was fast.”

It really wasn’t. Gem shrugged. “Long story.”

“Hmm.” Tomas grinned. “That membership is coming in handy then.”

Gem laughed. Of course, Tomas could put the pieces together.

The locker room opened and Luka stepped out. His steps faltered seeing Gem and Tomas talking.

“I take it Luka is about to have a long night,” Tomas said.

Gem pressed his lips together. “He is. A very long night.”

Luka allowed the door to bang closed behind him. “I can explain!”

“Can you?” Gem asked as he and Tomas turned.

“I didn’t throw the first punch!” Luka insisted.

“Oh, he is so going to get it,” Tomas whispered.

“So hard.” Gem stalked toward Luka and held out his hand for his bag.

“I can carry it,” Luka said but he handed the bag over.

“Let’s go,” Gem ordered softly.

“Yes, sir.” Luka dropped his eyes before following Gem down the hall to the exit.

* * * * *

Luka

“Please, sir! I’m sorry!” Luka whined.

“Not good enough,” Gem said, turning up the speed on the vibrator inside Luka’s ass.

Luka tried to get away. The binds around his wrists and ankles kept him in place. And it wasn’t like he could get away from something inside him. “Gem!”

“I specifically told you not to get into a fight,” Gem reminded him.

That wasn’t fair! Luka hadn’t been planning on getting in a fight when he’d returned to the ice for the third period.

He’d calmed down quite a bit. Not only had Gem threatened him but the coach had as well.

And still Luka had been pushed into a fight.

In his defense he hadn’t thrown the first punch.

Even if Luka might have been baiting the New York player.

They’d won though.

And now his Dom was making Luka pay.

The vibration slowed again, allowing Luka to catch his breath.

“You were baiting him,” Gem said. “I saw you chirping him the entire time.”

“I’m sorry.” Luka was sorry that his cock felt like it would explode. He was so fucking hard. The vibrator was pressed right against his prostate and the silicone cock ring was back in place. If this went on for much longer, Luka was going to lose his mind.

How was this worse than being flogged?

“Did it feel good to punch that guy?” Gem asked.

“So fucking good,” Luka said, then screamed as Gem turned the vibrator up to the highest speed.

Gem wrapped his fingers around Luka’s cock and pumped.

That was just fucking mean! Luka sobbed. He couldn’t. Luka needed to come! “Please.”

“Where was that please when I told you not to fight and you did it anyway?” Gem questioned.

“I…I…I…”

“You deliberately egged him on,” Gem said. “What would have happened if they’d have scored?”

Luka shook his head. What? What were they talking about.

“It’s not just about the game,” Gem said, turning down the speed again.

Luka’s drool was dripping onto the mattress. He sucked in air. It was getting hot in there. Why was it so hot?

“You could have been hurt,” Gem said. “For no reason. They wanted to fight you. And you played right into their hands. We need you. Don’t you know how much we need you?”

Luka nodded as his mind cleared through the haze of need.

“Don’t you know how much I need you?” Gem asked quietly.

Luka released the tension in his body. “Yes, sir.”

“Good boy.” Gem leaned over and grabbed Luka’s chin, forcing Luka’s head to the side.

“Your good boy?” Luka asked.

“That’s right. My good boy.” Gem kissed Luka hard. Shoving his tongue inside Luka’s mouth and fucking tongue to tongue.

When Gem drew back, Luka blinked at him.

“You still with me, baby?”

Luka smiled. “Yeah.”

“If you’re going to fight all the assholes in the league, then you need to let me take care of you after,” Gem said.

“He really did have it coming,” Luka said.

“I know he did,” Gem said. “You should have skated away.”

“Yes, sir.”
