27. Chapter Twenty-Five

CHAPTER TWENTY-FIVE

SAMMI

S he stared at Daddy, not daring to look at who was there. How did she not hear someone come into the room? How much had they heard? They obviously heard her call Gene Daddy.

“Deccan.” Daddy gave a slight nod.

Her face drained of any color she had left. Deccan was standing behind her? What was he doing here? How did he know she was here? Maybe if she didn’t acknowledge him, he wouldn’t know it was her.

“Little One, it’s rude to ignore guests,” Daddy gave her a pointed look.

“Maybe if I ignore him for long enough, he won’t know I’m here,” she whispered to Daddy.

It was worth a shot. Maybe he wasn’t here to talk to her but to Daddy. They were partners in something. Sammi didn’t know what, but she knew that Daddy worked with Deccan some. That was probably the illegal side of his business that Daddy had been talking about.

“I see you, Sammi. I’m not going anywhere,” Decan’s deep voice rumbled.

Her shoulders sagged as she turned around and looked at him. There was a slight flicker of worry across Deccan’s face.

“Did you end up in the hospital after talking to me?” Deccan asked.

She nodded. At least from what the nurse said, it had lined up with her leaving the clubhouse and ending up unconscious.

“Should have known to keep a better eye on you after that,” Deccan mumbled, looking at her before she looked at Daddy. “Why did you call me here?”

“You will not receive any more money from Sammi. She should have never been paying off her brother’s debt. He’s on his own now and will pay back every cent she paid. I assume you kept detailed records on what she paid,” Daddy declared. “Sammi is with me, so if anything concerns her, you come straight to me. I’m her Daddy.”

“Sounds good,” Deccan replied. “Don’t sell your house unless you’re going to move in with your Daddy.”

Her cheeks flushed, and she nodded. Now that she wasn’t paying off the debt, it gave her more money and freedom.

Without thinking, she looked at Daddy. “I want to move in with you,” she announced before she could contemplate it for too long.

She knew if she let herself think about it, she wouldn’t be able to ask. Thoughts of him rejecting her rushed through her mind. What was she going to do if he did? They worked together, which would make several things so much harder.

“When you’re discharged, we’ll get all your stuff and move you in,” Daddy said without missing a beat.

A huge smile spread across her face. “I love you.”

“I love you, too.”

“I don’t want to ruin the sappy moment, but is that all that I’m needed for?” Deccan asked.

Sammi turned around and made eye contact with the imposing MC president. “What’s going to happen to my brother? How do you two know each other? I know Daddy said he works with you but what do you guys do?”

Sammi didn’t know if she wanted to know the answer to those question. Was he going to do something horrible to him? Or was he going to draw a line under the debt? Was Deccan helping Daddy with the farm?

“I can’t just forgive, it so he’s still going to pay the rest of it. If he misses any more payments, he’ll have to work for me. Haven’t figured out in what role yet, but if he misses a single payment he’ll work the remainder off,” Deccan explained. “And as for what we do, you can ask your Daddy.”

She nodded and sank into her bed. As much as she didn’t want her brother to have to work for Deccan, she knew it was the only way. Decan couldn’t just let this go. It would make him look weak and like he didn’t have control of things. Or, at least, that’s what Sammi thought.

“What do you do with him, Daddy?” she asked.

He sighed. “My side hustle is selling drugs to Deccan. That’s how we work together.”

Her mouth hung open as she stared at him. She was not expecting him to say that.

“Don’t know how you feel about it but we’ll work through it. You’re mine and I’m not letting you go. We’ll figure a way out for you to get used to my side business. It will never touch you though. You will not get involved one bit.”

She nodded. “I…I don’t know what to say but you know what you’re doing. I should probably be begging you to let me go and to never contact me again but I’m finding that I don’t really care right now. Your actions towards me speak pretty loudly,” she mumbled towards the end.

“You were made for me,” he kisses her forehead. “That’s all,” Daddy replied. “Maybe sometime soon you could take your girl to the club with some of her friends and we could meet you there?”

Deccan smiled, and she had to look at him twice. “Let me know the date, and I’ll tell the girls.”

Daddy nodded before turning to Sammi as Deccan walked out of the room.

“Did you just?—”

“Sign you up for a play date with some of the other Littles in town? I did. If you don’t want to, I can text Deccan right now.” Daddy held up his phone.

Sammi vigorously shook her head. “No! I do. I have wanted to for a while.”

“Well then, I’ll make sure it happens more than once.” Daddy gave her a smile.

* * *

It had been a week since Sammi was discharged and a lot had changed. Daddy had officially moved her into his house. It was more like a mansion, but Daddy didn’t like it when she said that. It was massive with a five guest bedrooms, their bedroom, and her playroom. Seven bedrooms total, and Daddy had an ensuite for each one.

But the house was pretty barren. Daddy said she could decorate it however she wanted, but she didn’t know what to do with such a huge space. It was a blank canvas for her. Decorating wasn’t her strong suit, but she didn’t want to disappoint Daddy.

“I’m going to connect your CGM to my phone, so I get alerts about your blood sugars,” he stated, sitting next to her on the couch.

“You can do that? Why didn’t you do that before?” she asked.

“I didn’t want to encroach on you too much. I wanted you to feel like you could take care of yourself, but I should have just done this from the beginning.”

Tears formed as she stared at him. He was thinking about her and how she felt. What had she done to deserve him?

Daddy cupped her face. “That wasn’t supposed to make you cry,” he whispered.

“I know, but it was really sweet.”

Daddy chuckled and started setting it up on his phone. She watched as he did it in fascination. It didn’t take him long, and before she knew it, Daddy had his arms wrapped around her as he held her close.

“Are you excited about the play date?” Daddy asked, kissing her forehead.

Sammi shrugged, her nerves racing through her as he brought it up again. She was trying not to think about it too much. Daddy told her that stressing about things could affect her blood sugar, which she didn’t want to do, but she couldn’t help it. It was a natural reaction to something new.

“Can we just go so I can get over the beginning of meeting the other Littles?” she whispered, looking up at Daddy.

He had said that the girls would be there most of the day but she didn’t have to be there until a certain time. She didn’t want to wait any longer.

“Of course, Little One. Let’s go get everything ready and we can leave,” he kissed her head once again.
