Epilogue
EPILOGUE
ARIN
I don’t think I’ve been to Switzerland in at least five years.
June immediately suctioned herself to my side the second our plane landed, letting me lead her around the resort as the owner gave us a tour of the new facilities. Honestly, I never considered visiting in the last few years — I helped sell the land and the untouched buildings on it — but I should have. The space is beautiful and keeps making little gasps leave my omega’s lips. Her fingers tighten on my arm as we step onto the private heated pool deck, featuring a jacuzzi in one corner and a sauna in the other.
“Do you approve?”
She looks up at me, hazel eyes wide as she takes it all in, before darting to Seth’s side and pointing to the view of the mountains, towering tall above us. He laughs, leaning in to mutter something in her ear before she slaps his chest.
My attention wavers, giving Stefan, the owner, a polite smile. “Thank you again for allowing my pack and I to reserve this space.”
The other man smiles, half-amused as he glances at Juniper. “Call the desk if you need anything at all. What’s mine is yours, the staff know the same.” He walks off, leaving us as I turn and suck in a lungful of the fresh mountain air, serenity scoring through my body.
I never would have known that a single year would change so much. From June crawling into my arms in my office to the sing of a bond in my own chest, resonating with her joy now. All the paths I took that led me to this point have been worth it — being here is where I feel more like myself than I ever have before.
A body moves to stand beside me and I turn my head, voice low. “Theo?”
The other alpha looks at me for a moment, blue eyes bright but almost nervous. After a moment, he touches my forearm. “Arin.”
I frown. “What —”
Theo leans in, and then he’s kissing me.
Years . From childhood friends to forming our pack of just the pair of us, to adding Bennett and Seth to the mix, to now . I was with him at his worst, when he struggled with his own designation, when we both fumbled through our twenties. He saw me through the years of endless grinding to build a client list, taking care of me, making sure I ate and slept.
Pulling back, I stare at him for a moment, seeing the uncertainty in his posture before I grab him by the back of the neck and drag him to me, kissing him hard with a growl. “You are one stubborn bastard, Theo Clarke.”
He laughs against my mouth, like the brat he is. “I know.”
I give him a disgruntled look, but it doesn’t stay for very long. His cheeks are flushed, hair mussed and longer than I’ve ever seen it. My heart kicks, and I kiss him again, lingering as I murmur, “I love you.”
It isn’t the first time we’ve uttered it, but it’s the first time I’ve said it and meant the full definition. I love him as much as I love June.
Theo touches my jaw, strong hands on my face. “I love you. It was past time to tell you.”
When we part, I glance to the side, seeing June and Seth clutching each other, eyes wide and faces split with stupid grins. Theo groans, rubbing a hand over his face. “Show’s over.”
June squeaks, then throws herself at the two of us, pulling Theo into one side and me into the other, peppering us both with kisses. “My alphas.”
I laugh as Theo grumbles, but he’s smiling the entire time until he fakes a cough, excusing himself to go into our suite.
June’s gaze tilts up. “What should we do first?”
My fingers slip through her silken hair, pushing it behind her ear. “Whatever you want to do, Juniper.”
She leans into me, sweet perfume invading my senses as she kisses my jaw. “I’m happy as long as I’m here with my pack, with you .”
