Chapter Twenty

Hema

I don’t know how I got home. Did they drive me in a car? Did I walk under my own power? Did they carry me like a sack of potatoes?

It didn’t matter because from the moment I asked them to get me home, everything blurred until I opened my eyes and found myself on my bed, naked and splayed out. Slick and perfuming and a ball of need.

“Who undressed me?” I demanded through the heat fog.

“You did,” Altan said, lying propped up on his forearm next to me. “And I’m afraid those jeans took some damage in the process.”

“Damn, those are the ones that…”

“Yes, they did.” Orin sat cross-legged on my other side. Naked. They were all naked.

“Do I remember demanding that you all strip too?”

“Yeah.” Sovann came in with a gallon of water and some plastic cups. “Nothing breakable. I’ve never been through an omega’s heat before.”

“You’d better not have,” I gritted out in a voice I didn’t even recognize. “You are mine.”

They all grinned at each other in a way that irritated me, and I let them know it. “Also, it’s really hot in here.”

“It’s about sixty-eight,” Altan said, biting it off when I glared at him. “Orin, see if you can turn the AC down.”

I grabbed for him, trying to force him on top of me. “I ache. I need. Fix it.”

“We will, omega. Be patient and—”

I shrieked and climbed on top of him. “Fuck me now. Mate me, mark me, knot me, all of you.”

Unfortunately or fortunately, I’d selected the alpha of the alphas, and he lifted me and laid me down again. “Omega, listen here. Are you listening?”

I gnashed my teeth, but when he didn’t say anything else or release me, I nodded. “Yes.”

“We are going to fix it. We are going to take care of you and make it all better, okay?”

I nodded again. “My blood hurts.”

“Yes. we know.”

“But you have no experience,” I wailed. “Maybe I need someone who has more expertise.”

The alpha fixed me with a glare. “You need your mates. Not a service.”

Were there such things? Maybe that was what I’d referred to unknowingly.

“You need the males who love you.”

Even through the atonal shrieking sounds in my ears, I heard that. It didn’t make the heat less, but it did make me more inclined to hope they could do what I needed. “If you love me, you’ll fuck me right this minute.”

“All right.” Altan kissed me and kissed me again. “Whatever you need. We are your servants, your healers, and your lovers. Your mates, in other words.”

“Oh, shut up. I’m sure I’ll want to hear all of that later but right now, I am afraid I might die.”

And then he was on top of me, lifting my knees with massive forearms and finding my slick hole.

Holding my gaze with no more words. He eased inside me then gave a quick thrust. It stung.

I didn’t care, just wrapped myself around him, lost in the experience.

After his first few slow drives, he sped up.

Orin and Sovann were behind me, holding me upright when my limbs lost the power to grip, and all too soon, Altan spilled inside me and swelled, knotting, binding, connecting.

He dipped his head and sank his fangs into my shoulder.

I screamed, orgasming over and over. When his knot shrank after a minute or an hour, I had no idea which, he passed me to Orin who laid me on my belly on the edge of the mattress and drove into me from that angle.

His mark landed higher on my shoulder, while he panted and I continued to come.

Sovann took me standing up, my back against the wall. Then Altan began again.

My bathtime fantasies about how this would go were laughable compared to the imaginations these alphas had.

As long as one or more of them was inside me, the pain was bearable.

Every time they were not, I was screaming in agony.

And then, gradually, it got easier. We could take little breaks. Sovann brought more water.

He’d heard dehydration was a danger in heat.

Finally, I blacked out and didn’t wake up for, they told me, a full twenty-four hours.

I struggled to sit up. “The shop. All the flowers.”

“I called Holt and left your keys where they could find them. They were glad to help out. Everything should be fine. Although I can’t swear to how fabulous any arrangements might be.”

“Okay.” I lay back and took a deep breath. “It’s good to have friends.” Sometimes there were things that were more important than business. I just never wanted the lady who helped me with the grant to hear me say that. “I’ll just take a little nap.”
