Chapter #3
“Baby, this is O. Short for Oscar. He does all our club logos.” He told me.
“Ahh,” I said, still not knowing why we were here.
O took my face in and then looked at Grey and asked, “You still haven’t told her?”
Grey smirked, “Nope.”
I lifted a brow, “Told me what?”
O snickered, “Follow me.”
He led us down a hall and then entered a room to the right and in the back, then he looked at “Grey, you know the drill.”
Grey nodded, then removed his kutte, handed it to me, and jerked his chin to the wall on my right, where a hook was placed.
I hung his kutte up and turned back around just in time to see Grey unbutton his shirt and take it off.
Then he looked at me and winked, “O, you're up.”
O snickered, and then he winked at me, “Come over here, girl.”
I went to him.
And then after he told me what I was about to do, I felt my mouth drop open.
“You want me to do what?” I screeched.
He winked, “I want you to tattoo your name right over my heart.”
I stared at him, then I accused, “You lied to me.”
He frowned, “The fuck I have.”
“I asked you what your malfunction was. It’s obvious you have one,” I growled.
He tossed his head back and roared with laughter.
While he was doing that, O gave me a tattoo gun and a prep thingy that was made of synthetic fake skin.
I swallowed, then looked at Grey, and said, “Are you sure?”
He nodded, “Oh yeah.”
I sighed, “And if you get tired of me? You’ve only known me for three days.”
His face seemed to sober and clear, allowing me to see honesty in his eyes. “You said it, baby.”
Then he repeated my words back to me from my night at the clubhouse when I was drunk but spoke the truth.
“It used to be you met someone, and you knew. You just knew. You didn’t waste your time on someone who didn’t deserve you. You knew.”
I swallowed, then nodded, and practiced.
A few lines and shading techniques, then O nodded and pointed at Grey.
I guess it was time.
“I’ve never done anything like this before,” I shared.
He winked, “I know.”
I closed my eyes as I face planted into his chest, which caused him to chuckle, then he shared, “We don’t have to, baby girl. We can wait. Make me work for it. Up to you.”
“You want this?” I asked.
He winked down at me, “I want you. I want to show you that I’m in. I want to show the world that I’m in.”
Forty-five minutes later, there, right over his heart, was my name.
My hands shook as I placed the tattoo gun down on the metal cart and looked up at O, “Well?”
He winked, “You want a job, you let me know. Never seen anyone take to it that quickly and not make a mistake.”
At his words, I felt so much pride in myself that it wasn’t even funny.
Grey smiled.
After O placed some clear plastic thingy over the tattoo, he got dressed.
My body was shaking.
Grey saw it and then wrapped me in his arms and held on tightly.
I leaned into his touch, loving the feel of being there.
And at that moment, it really hit me. Yes, Grey’s house had felt like home because he had been there, but this... this really felt like home.
I inhaled deeply and then squeezed his body once, twice, then let go.
But he didn’t. Not for a few beats.
Only letting me go after he placed a kiss on the top of my head.
We were back in the waiting area when we saw a man lean into Tinsley’s space.
Grey leaned down and whispered, “That’s Everett, he and his brother Emmett work here, they’re twins.
“Tinsley, when are you going to let me take you out on a date?” Everett asked.
Tinsley smirked, opened her mouth, then was abruptly cut off when a man spoke and said, “Don’t waste your fucking time. She won’t even fucking show up.”
My head whipped in the man’s direction.
And if I hadn’t already fallen for Grey, then I would for this man from his looks alone.
He had to be mixed with something. His skin was that light mocha color with dark black hair cropped close to his scalp.
A leather kutte, tight-fitted red tee, and black jeans.
Both of his ears were pierced with black studs in them.
And he had on black boots. Before I could ask Grey if he knew him, Tinsley reacted.
She growled, “I had a good reason for that, Sasquatch.”
The man snorted, “You fell asleep. That’s your reason?”
Tinsley nodded, “Yes. I had just finished my last...” she was again cut off.
“Don’t give a shit.” The man said.
Grey leaned his head down and whispered, “That’s Nuke. Our President.”
My eyes went wide at that. “Really?”
Grey nodded.
Then the man I now knew was Nuke called out, “Emmett? You ready?”
“Yeah, brother. Come on back.” Another man called out.
Nuke slapped Grey on the back, winked down at me, “Nice to meet you, Kimber,” and then he walked down the hall and disappeared.
I felt my mouth drop open.
Grey snickered, “That’s why he’s the president.”
Fifteen minutes later, he surprised me when he said, “And for the last part of our date,” he said as he pulled into the Dairy Queen parking lot.
I grinned.
He winked.
A teenager looked up at Grey with wide eyes and pink cheeks for what had to be at least five minutes. I giggled.
Grey lifted a brow, then asked, “Do you see the woman at my side?”
The teenager shook her head, looked at me, then winced.
I snickered.
“Rocky Road Blizzard, please,” I said with a moan.
Grey’s hand tightened on my hip as he growled.
I snickered.
“Birthday Confetti Blizzard,” he said.
After we got our blizzard’s, we walked out of the building, and knowing that I missed his touch, I placed my hand in his.
His fingers tightened automatically around mine, then he said, “Like this. Think I can put you at my side permanently?”
I snickered, “One can dream.”
We took a seat at one of the picnic tables and ate our ice cream.
I had just finished mine and was licking a trail of ice cream that had melted along the backside of my hand.
“You got five seconds to tell me that you're not interested.” He said.
I didn’t respond.
Not that I would say I wasn’t interested.
No. I wasn’t responding because I wanted him.
