Chapter

Grey

After our honeymoon, I went out and bought a bunch of pregnancy tests.

Kimber saw them and smiled.

Then she shook her head.

I growled.

She squealed and ran to the bathroom.

I ran after her and pounced.

“Fucker,” Wolf growled at Jury.

Jury growled, “What the fuck did I do this time?”

“You told her I had the clap so she would fuck you instead?” Wolf asked.

Jury scoffed, “Like you didn’t tell the last one that I had a fetish for imagining the women I was fucking looked like my mother?”

Wolf snorted, then burst out laughing, which caused everyone else to do the same.

Even Xander, Kettle, and Grimm snorted.

Just then, Hamm, one of the prospects, came into the clubhouse.

His eyes scanned everyone, and when they landed on me, I got up and met him halfway. “What is it?”

“Some pig is out there asking for you,” he said.

I growled and then looked at my brothers, who nodded and stood up.

Thankfully, the women were all in the game room having a mini spa day and missed it all.

We all walked out of the clubhouse to see that the pig in question was the same motherfucker we had been looking for.

“Where is Kacie?” the pig asked.

I shrugged. “No clue. Haven’t seen her in years.”

“Well, she’s been reported missing by her father.” He said.

I smirked, “Funny you say that, since you’re her father.”

His face paled.

I grinned, “Got a whole file on you. Should I head over to your wife and inform her of what you did?”

He glared, “This isn’t over.”

I snorted.

Then we watched as he climbed into his car and drove away.

“Well. Shit.” Nuke said.

I snorted.

“That was anticlimactic,” Saint shared.

It was Khal’s turn to snort.

Just then, I felt someone wrap their arms around me.

I turned in her arms and pressed a kiss on the top of her head, but before anything could be said or anyone could move, a black SUV pulled into the parking lot.

A man climbed out.

Kimber groaned.

“Am I killing him?” I asked.

She shook her head, “No. He’s just the last guy I was forced to go on a date with by my mother.”

“So, he had your time?” I asked.

She sighed, “A little of it.”

I grinned, “Can’t fucking wait.”

Then the fucker reached us, sneered at me, then looked softly at Kimber and opened his mouth.

And then.... with what came out of the fucker’s mouth that had every brother looking at him like he was fucking stupid resonated in my brain.

“Come again?” I asked the motherfucker standing in front of me.

“I’m here to offer you half a million dollars to walk away from Kimber.” The piss ant said.

Kimber growled.

Shocked. Unable to comprehend the fact that this three-piece-wearing, loafer-ass punk motherfucker walked into my club.

My fucking club and offered me money for the woman who held my heart in the palm of her fucking hand.

My woman that was my entire world.

“No,” I growled out.

“A million,” he said.

“Let me put it into words so you’ll understand. My woman is worth more to me than the highest dollar your brain can comprehend. There is nothing that I would ever take to leave her. Not. A. Fucking. Thing.”

Kimber’s hand squeezed mine.

“Two million,” he said.

“Why the fuck do you want her so bad?” I asked.

He scoffed, “You wouldn’t understand.”

I shook my head, “Nah, I ain’t the one who ain’t understanding shit.”

He opened his mouth, but I was done.

“You won’t understand my statement, but any man in a motorcycle club will.

And that statement is this. I started this club with my brothers almost twenty-five years ago.

And if she asked me to leave, if she told me right now that she wanted to live somewhere else, I’d do it.

I’d take off my kutte right here and now and follow her wherever she wanted to go. ”

“Three million,” the fucker said.

“Man, are you fucking deaf? You know what, I don’t give a fuck, you don’t get out of here by the time I count to five, I’ll kill you.”

He opened his mouth, but I cut him off, “One.”

I heard my brothers moving.

Kimber moved behind me and reached under my shirt. I smirked, “Two.”

I felt the cold metal slide into my palm, “Three.”

I brought my gun forward, “Four.”

His eyes went wide, then he squealed like a fucking girl and ran to his car and smoked the tires as he peeled out of the parking area.

I shook my head, then looked at my brothers.

They were all shaking their heads, putting their guns away.

Then Kimber moved to stand in front of me with a smile on her face.

“Is now a good time to tell you that I’m pregnant?”

I started to smile... until an unmistakable sound lit up the entire forecourt of the clubhouse.

Pop. Pop. Pop. Pop.

I reacted.

I threw Kimber to the asphalt.

As something hot and burning slammed into my back.

And then again.

Pain.

Blackness.
