26. Lucy

CHAPTER 26

Lucy

S tanding close to Jarvin, I feel the intensity of his gaze, his words echoing in my mind. My heart races, torn between fear and longing. The sincerity and confusion in his eyes moves me in a way I hadn’t expected. I take a deep breath, deciding to lay everything bare.

“Jarvin,” I start, my voice trembling. “I saw you with another woman in your office. I was looking forward to seeing you, and then it all came crashing down when I saw you.” I hold his gaze knowing I need to confront things head on if I hope to have any chance of closure and a future with him. “Seeing you with her brought all that hurt back. I pulled away because I couldn’t bear the thought of going through that again.”

His expression softens with clarity, surprise etched into every line of his face. He pulls me closer, his grip on my hands tightening gently. “Lucy, that woman you saw, Elara... is my ex.” His voice is calm but firm, every word deliberate. "There was nothing going on between us."

"She had her hand on you, and she was laughing, " I say, feeling the heat of humiliation flood my cheeks.

He continues, “She came by hoping to reconcile, but I turned her away. She's been wanting to get back together for a while and came in trying to convince me to give her another chance. But I told her I don't feel the same and I made her leave.” His eyes lock onto mine, filled with an intensity that leaves no room for doubt. “I rejected her because I’m in love with you. Only you.”

My heart races as I look into Jarvin’s eyes, feeling more certain than ever. “I was so scared,” I admit, my voice barely above a whisper. “That what we have… didn’t mean anything to you. My walls were down, and I felt so betrayed.”

Jarvin squeezes my hands, his eyes never leaving mine. “I understand. I can see why you felt betrayed, but I would never do that to you Lucy,” he says, his voice steady and reassuring. “Why didn’t you just tell me how you felt instead of running?”

"I don’t know. Fear, mainly… I didn’t want to get rejected or abandoned again."

Hearing Jarvin’s explanation, a wave of relief and understanding washes over me. The tension in my chest loosens, replaced by a warmth that spreads through my entire being. I see the truth in his eyes, the depth of his feelings unmistakable.

I find myself wishing I had said something sooner. I've spent all this time hurt and confused because I didn't have the strength to face the problem.

Taking a deep breath, I decide to take a leap of faith. I have feelings for him. Stepping closer to him, I feel my vulnerability transform into a brave resolve. “I don’t want to run anymore; all it has done is put distance between us and left me confused and alone. I don't want that anymore. My fear has only been an obstacle, but if I don't let anyone in, I might miss out on something worth having,” I say, my voice gaining strength. “I want to trust you, because I love you, too.”

The relief on his face is palpable as he pulls me tightly against him, wrapping his muscled arms around me. He pulls back and holds my eyes with his."Promise me, you won't shut me out. This could become?—"

"Complicated," I interrupt with a small smile.

"Yes, that," he says with a chuckle. "But more than that, we need to be able to communicate if we're going to make this work."

"I promise to work on it."

A smile tugs at the corners of his lips as he lifts one hand to gently cup my cheek. “And here I was thinking I was just a bad kisser,” he says softly, his tone laced with playful warmth.

I can’t help but laugh, the sound is light and freeing. “Well, you might need some more practice,” I tease back, feeling the last remnants of my fear dissolve.

He leans in slowly, giving me plenty of time to pull away if I want to—but I don’t.

"I've been waiting so long for this Lucy," Jarvin says between kisses. He pulls back and looks me in the eyes, making my stomach flutter with the weight of all the feelings I’ve been trying to suppress.

"I know you have. It just took me a moment to realize not everyone is out to hurt me." My heart races as he holds me against him. The hurt, the pain I experienced; the misunderstanding has somehow still led back to where I need to be.

"I just want you Lucy, I never want to hurt you." Jarvin leans back in, his breath warm on my face and I melt against him feeling the rush of every emotion I've kept tucked away, every moment from the airport to now has led up to this moment, and for the first time in a while, I follow my heart.

In the heat of the moment, everything narrows to just Jarvin and me. He’s standing so close I can feel his breath on my skin. Our eyes lock, and the intensity between us becomes almost unbearable. His hands tighten around me, pulling me closer.

His lips crash onto mine, and a surge of emotion sweeps through me. It's as if every pent-up feeling we've been hiding finally finds release. The kiss deepens, becoming more urgent and consuming. I can taste the sincerity in his kiss, the raw emotion that words could never fully convey.

Jarvin’s hands move to my waist, pulling me even closer as our bodies meld together.

Without breaking the kiss, Jarvin begins to lower me onto the couch. His movements are deliberate yet tender, ensuring I feel safe and cherished even in this moment of fiery passion. As my back meets the soft cushions, he hovers over me, our lips never parting.

The couch cushions sink under our combined weight, creating a cocoon of intimacy around us. Jarvin’s hand cups my face gently while his other arm supports him above me. The heat of his body seeps into mine, creating a warmth that spreads through every fiber of my being.

I wrap my arms around his neck, pulling him closer still, deepening the kiss further. His lips move against mine with a fervor that leaves me breathless yet craving more.

Jarvin's hands glide over my body, removing my clothes with a tantalizing slowness that drives me wild. His lips follow the path of his hands, kissing every inch of exposed skin. Each kiss sends a shiver down my spine.

He pulls my shirt over my head, his lips trailing down my neck and across my collarbone. The sensation is almost overwhelming, a mixture of tenderness and raw desire that leaves me breathless. My hands find their way to his shirt, fumbling with the buttons in my eagerness to feel his skin against mine.

Our movements are frantic yet deliberate, each action fueled by a need that has been building for far too long. The sounds of our panting and gasps fill the room as Jarvin's hands roam over my body, exploring every curve and dip with an intensity that makes my heart race.

He unclasps my bra, letting it fall away as his lips continue their journey downward. Each kiss is a promise, a declaration of the passion we share. My fingers dig into his shoulders as he kisses his way across my chest, leaving a trail of heat in his wake. The need between us is palpable, an electric current that pulls us closer and closer together.

I manage to get his shirt off, running my hands over the hard planes of his chest and feeling the heat radiate from his skin. His muscles ripple under my touch, responding to every caress with a shiver of anticipation. Our eyes meet, and the intensity in his gaze takes my breath away.

Jarvin's hands move lower, unbuttoning my jeans and sliding them down my legs with agonizing slowness. He kisses them as he goes, making me gasp and arch into him. The sensation is almost too much to bear, but I crave more.

We continue to undress each other, our hands exploring every inch of exposed skin with a fervor that leaves no doubt about our need for one another. The room seems to pulse with the energy between us, each touch and kiss adding fuel to the fire.

Finally, we're both free of our clothes, our bodies pressed together in a tangle of limbs and desire. The heat between us is intense, our skin slick with sweat as we move against each other. Every touch sends sparks flying through me, every kiss deepening the connection we share.

Jarvin positions himself above me, his eyes locking onto mine with an intensity that sends a shiver down my spine. His touch is gentle yet firm, his fingers trailing down my side as he prepares to enter me. The anticipation is almost unbearable, my body trembling with a mixture of nerves and desire.

“Are you okay?” he asks, his voice is raw with desire and I'm more than okay.

I nod, biting my lip as I wrap my arms around his neck. “Yes,” I whisper, my voice barely audible. “Please.”

He moves slowly, giving me time to adjust as he enters me. The sensation is overwhelming, a delicious mix of pleasure and fullness that leaves me gasping. My nails dig into his shoulders as I arch into him, every nerve ending in my body coming alive at once.

“Lucy,” he murmurs, his breath hot against my ear. His movements are deliberate, each thrust slow and measured as if he’s savoring every moment. "You're mine.” His voice is gruff and raw and I cling to his words, to him as we move together.

As Jarvin continues to move within me, the need we’ve harbored for each other comes to a head. Every touch, every kiss feels like a promise fulfilled. Our bodies move in perfect harmony, each thrust sending waves of pleasure crashing through me.

I can’t help but moan softly, the sound echoing in the quiet room. Jarvin responds with a low groan, his pace quickening slightly as he buries himself deeper within me.

“God, Lucy,” he growls against my skin. “You feel incredible.”

His words send a thrill through me, my body responding eagerly to his praise. I tighten around him instinctively, drawing him even closer as we move together in perfect sync.

The room fades away until there’s nothing but Jarvin and the overwhelming sensation of him inside me. Each thrust brings us closer to the edge, our breaths mingling in a heated rhythm that mirrors our movements.

Jarvin’s movements grow more urgent, each thrust bringing me closer to the edge. The intensity between us is overwhelming, a wave of pleasure building with every moment. My breath comes in short gasps, matching the rhythm of our bodies moving together.

“Lucy,” he murmurs against my ear, his voice strained with need. His hands grip my hips firmly, guiding me to meet his every motion. The sensation is almost too much to bear, yet I crave more.

I arch into him, my fingers digging into his back as I hold on for dear life. Every nerve in my body is on fire, the anticipation of release driving me wild. “Jarvin,” I gasp, barely able to form words. “Don’t stop.”

He groans in response, his pace quickening as he drives us both toward the inevitable climax. The pressure builds inside me, a coiled spring ready to snap at any moment. My body trembles with the intensity of it all, every sense heightened and focused solely on him.

The room around us fades away until there’s nothing but the feel of Jarvin’s body against mine and the mounting pleasure that threatens to consume me. I cling to him desperately, our connection feeling like an unstoppable force pulling us both toward the brink.

With each thrust, the tension inside me coils tighter and tighter until it’s almost unbearable. The edge is so close I can taste it, and I know he feels it too. His breath is hot and ragged against my skin, his movements growing frantic as we both chase that final release.

He groans my name again, his voice filled with raw emotion. The sound sends a shiver down my spine, pushing me even closer to the peak.

I can’t hold back any longer. With a cry of pure ecstasy, I finally let go, the climax washing over me in powerful waves. My entire body shudders with the force of it, every muscle tensing and releasing in a symphony of pleasure.

Jarvin follows closely behind me, his own release hitting with equal intensity. He holds me tightly as we ride out the waves together, our breaths mingling in a shared rhythm of satisfaction and relief.

As the final tremors fade away, we remain tangled together, our bodies still buzzing with the aftershocks of our passion. It feels like we’ve crossed an invisible boundary, one that has brought us even closer together in ways words can’t fully capture.

Jarvin pulls me into his arms, and I can feel the thudding of his heart as my head lays on his chest.

"You have to come back to work.” His deep voice breaks the silence and I prop myself up to face him. “You can't just throw your career away. " His words are steady, as he holds my gaze.

"But this… What about us? I already turned in my resignation…"

"I'll handle it," he says. Clearly, the CEO in him is taking charge of the situation. "We'll figure this out as we go, but you can't quit your job."

"Okay," I say softly, letting silence fill the space between us as I process everything that has happened. I lay my head back on his chest finally feeling complete.
