Epilogue - Athan
Some time in the future
Dear Alicia,
It was wonderful to see you all. Caitlin sends her love and says we’re looking forward to visiting you. The twins are excited too, although I think we’ll leave Mr. Ren at home. He is particularly grumpy at the moment. I don’t think the cold weather agrees with him.
It feels like a glorious time to be alive. Father was so excited to see the mission to Mars reach its destination. He believes the stars are our future - for us all, magical and human alike. His greatest hope is we can live in harmony and use our powers to help solve our problems together.
I’m glad you like what we’ve done with the house. Purchasing the apartment Caitlin lived in when she first arrived in Snowflake Falls means we have better accommodation for visitors. And the big house is far more comfortable now we’ve installed a new kitchen and bathroom.
Father is so happy we’re a big family again. And so is Mother. And Caitlin’s mother and father. The only one who isn’t is Mr. Ren. Sometimes he loves playing with the twins, and at other times he hides away and sulks.
You’d always told me how having your own family completed you and I didn’t really understand. But I do now and it’s wonderful. We may be unconventional but there is so much love here.
