Chapter 27

Chapter

Twenty-Seven

HASH

The rage I’m feeling right now is too much to take.

I’m shaking, trying to keep it together so I don’t lose it in front of Aisling. Knowing that piece of shit came into my motherfucking house, destroyed it, put his hands on my woman, scared the shit out of my kid and is now walking around my territory like he belongs here?

Oh, fuck no.

Fuck no.

He’s a dead man.

Prez knows something is up by the look on my face as I drag Aisling inside with a screaming Evan in tow because she’s demanding to know what’s going on.

“Levi!” I snap, getting his attention from the bar. His head immediately turns to me, attention alert. “Watch them.”

He gives a curt nod as we push the girls toward the bar.

“Don’t fucking move from here unless he tells you to. Got it?” Evan’s gaze moves to Cain as she takes in his body language. She nods, sensing that something is up. Sutton nods, looking scared as she watches Ink. Aisling just stares at me, looking scared and knowing what’s about to go down.

“Be safe. I love you,” she mouths.

She might not have said it out loud verbally, but knowing she feels the same about me is like a punch to the gut.

We haven’t talked about it since that night.

I still don’t know if she remembers I said it first.

I’m not saying it again until I can come back and tell her I killed this piece of shit.

Prez pulls us into church, slamming the door shut so no one hears us.

“I’m assuming Aisling remembered something?” he asks as he leans up against the wall and pulls out his phone. “I texted Adduci. He’s getting Wren and Delaney situated with the girls and is on his way.”

I nod as I pace the room, unable to stay still. If I do, I might end up shooting Cyrus for real this time.

“He needs to hurry the fuck up because I’m dying to know what happened. And then I want to go kill Rail. I saw that motherfucker trying to chat up Levi, and it just rubbed me the wrong way.” Cyrus cracks his neck.

“We’re going to kill two birds with one stone with that one,” I say, my tone vibrating with anger.

“What?” Cain, Cyrus, Ink, and Scotch say at the same time, looking right at me.

A knock sounds at the door as Prez holds his finger up, telling me to wait as he opens it. Adduci files in with Trick in tow.

“Gio is staying with Levi and the girls just in case. No offense to you, but I don’t know these people,” Adduci says as he stands next to Prez.

Trick moves to the opposite side of the room from me, his face hard and body wound tight as he listens. I can’t say we’re back to how we were before, but I never doubted him having my back.

“Tell us,” Prez orders.

My fists are shaking from being clenched so tight, trying to keep a lock on it.

“The guy who broke into her house is here.”

“Come again?” Prez asks as his head moves forward with his brows raised.

“It’s fucking Rail.”

Silence falls over the room, kicking up how anxious I am to get out there and kill him.

“You’re sure?” Prez asks.

“Positive. Aisling was freaked the fuck out when they were trying to take that picture out there. She said he bumped into her and recognized his voice.”

“That motherfucker!” Prez shouts.

“Oh, he’s fucking dead,” Cyrus growls.

“I’m getting real sick and tired of this Rail guy being brought up and thinking he can do whatever the fuck he wants. We’re ending this tonight,” Adduci says, his tone giving no room for argument.

“He’s mine.” If I’m not the one to pull the trigger, I won’t ever be able to look Aisling in the eye again.

“It’s yours.” Adduci inclines his head. “I’ll have Gio bag him up. Did your guy drug the men he came with?”

Cain nods his head. “Levi, put something in all of their drinks. They won’t be remembering shit.”

“Let’s roll out,” I say, anxious to get this moving.

“Hold up,” Cyrus says, stopping us. “Why is Gio the one who gets to bag him? I’m supposed to be training here!”

“Oh, Jesus fucking Christ.” Prez sighs. “Trick, watch the girls. Cyrus, grab Levi and go with Gio. If you two psychopaths do any crazy shit that we wouldn’t approve of, you’re answering to us.” He points between him and Adduci.

“Understood.” Cyrus is grinning like a cat who just got his cream.

“You know you just unleashed a whole lot of fucking crazy, right?” Scotch asks.

“I know.” Prez shakes his head. “I’m just sick of fucking listening to it.”

My gaze moves to Trick as everyone files out.

“I won’t let anything happen to her,” he tells me, his face unreadable.

“I’m trusting you with that, brother. If something does happen, it’s your ass I’m coming for next.” I don’t wait for a response before I leave the room.

We follow Adduci to his warehouse on the other side of the city.

It’s on the rougher side of town that’s made up mainly of factories that aren’t in use anymore.

“They get him?” I ask as I pace back and forth in front of the only chair in the middle of the room.

Our basement is set up to get people to talk, but Adduci’s warehouse is set up to torture the living soul out of someone.

The chair is made of metal and looks uncomfortable as fuck. Metal restraints are on the arms and legs of the chair, opening only with a key. A metal surgery table is off to the side, lined with various instruments to extract, stab, kill, or whatever you want to do.

I fucking love it.

“They got him,” Prez confirms. “Cyrus said he’s about to be a fun one.”

“Do I want to know what that means?” Adduci asks.

“Think about what it would mean if Gio said it. It’s probably something along those lines.”

“Oh, Jesus fucking Christ.” Adduci shakes his head.

The warehouse door bursts open, slamming against the wall as Cyrus and Gio carry in Rail with Levi trailing behind them.

“It’s about goddamn time.” Prez claps. “Levi, close the door.”

Levi slams the door shut and locks it.

My lip turns up as I watch them throw him down against the metal chair and slap the restraints on his wrists and ankles.

Cain holds his arm out, pushing Cyrus back, who is snarling at Rail. Adduci plucks the knife Gio is polishing out of his hands. Both of them pout at their bosses.

I wait for Prez to give me the go-ahead before I move forward.

Taking my knife out of my pocket, I flip it open as I approach him.

Starting at the top of his head, I push the tip through the material of the bag until the knife hits the center of his forehead, just deep enough to break skin.

Rail screams as I drag the knife down the center of his face, cutting the bag off his face.

It falls to the ground, revealing Rail’s wild eyes as he looks around frantically.

“Remember me?” I sneer at him, showing my teeth.

Rail rears his head back and spits in my face.

I close my eyes as I slowly inhale deeply. I bring my fist back, connecting it hard to his jaw. Rail’s head flies to the side, and blood splatters around us.

“Oh shit,” Cyrus says. I can tell the crazy bastard is smiling.

“Fuck you,” Rail yells as he drags his head back up. His breathing is heavy.

“Fuck me?” I laugh, sounding a little manic. “I’m not the one sitting on death row right now, motherfucker.”

“You think you can kill me?” Rail asks, sounding like he truly believes. “My guys are already on their way here. They’re going to fuck you up.”

I snicker.

“Get a load of this guy,” Gio snorts, sounding amused.

“Fuck you! Fuck all of you! You’re all dead! Fucking dead!” Rail yells.

I walk over to the table and grab a pair of pliers.

“I’m sick of hearing you talk,” I tell him, as I stand in front of him, lining the pliers up with his fingernail, ripping it out without warning.

Rail screams as blood drips onto the floor.

“Is that how Aisling sounded when you beat the shit out of her?” I ask, my tone sinister, as I take the bag that was on his head and use it to mop up the blood that’s pooled on the floor.

“She got what was coming to her.” Rail pants.

“I see that cunt didn’t deliver my warning.

You’re all fucking done. Every single one of you.

” His wild eyes move between all of us. Adduci and Cain stand unmoving with their faces even, almost looking bored as they watch him. “You don’t even know what’s coming.”

Picking up the blood-covered bag, I shove it in his mouth.

“I’m sick of hearing you talk. You’re the one who doesn’t know what’s coming.

” I land another hard punch to his jaw, smiling as I hear the crack.

“That’s for punching my girl.” I pull out my gun from the waistband of my pants, firing off one round into his dick.

Rail tries to jump up in his seat, but the restraints stop him as he screams through the bag, the noise piercing my ears.

“And that’s for scaring my fucking kid.”

“Jesus Christ.” Scotch winces as he grabs his own dick. “That has to hurt.”

Rail’s face is pale from the loss of blood. He tries to spit the bag out of his mouth but fails as he’s losing strength by the second.

I watch him sit there and bleed, hoping he’s in as much pain and fear as Aisling was.

Deciding it’s time to end this and get back to my woman, I pull out my wallet from my back pocket and open it up.

In the cash slot, I take out a shard of glass I saved from the sliding glass door that he shattered.

“You know what this is from?” I ask Rail as I hold up the triangle-shaped piece of glass in front of his face.

He doesn’t answer as he slumps in his chair, his vacant eyes staring back at me.

“It’s from the door you shattered at my girl’s place.

Do you know what I’m going to do with it? I’m going to fucking kill you.”

His eyes widen slightly as I dig the sharp tip of glass into his skin, making sure it’s deep before slicing his wrist open. Blood squirts out, pouring into his hand and onto the floor.

“You’re going to sit here and drain out. It should take the same amount of time it took you to beat the shit out of my girl.”

“Damn,” Cyrus says, approving as he turns to Levi. “Are you taking notes?”

Levi looks panicked. “I didn’t know I was supposed to bring a notepad. I’ve been watching how to do everything, I swear. I even gagged him like you said.”

“Jesus Christ.” Cain shakes his head. “You don’t need a fucking notepad.”

We watch the life drain out of Rail, his body now a pale gray and eyes dead.

“I’m glad that’s over with. He was becoming a real annoyance,” Adduci says as he looks at his watch. “Don’t worry about cleaning up. I’ll have my crew come in. I know we all want to get back to our women.”

We all nod.

“Appreciate it.” Prez shakes his hand. “I owe you one.”

Adduci waves it off. “I’m sure we’ll both need something from each other again in the future. That’s what an alliance is.”

“You good?” Scotch asks, coming up behind me.

“Yeah.” I nod. And I am. That piece of shit was getting on my last damn nerve.

“Thank God he’s gone. I’ve been over his ass for nearly two goddamn years,” Ink says as he slaps me on the back. “Let’s head back. I know Sutton is probably freakin’ the fuck out.”

So is Aisling.

I have a smile on my face knowing I just killed a man for the woman who loves me.
