Epilogue
Avianna
It's taken me a long time to get to the place I'm at today.
Even when I knew I no longer had to look over my shoulder in fear of someone wanting to hurt me.
Hawk never wavered; he stood by me through everything.
Even when I would fall apart thinking of the past, he was right there catching me before I could fall.
My world is now brighter than before, and it’s all thanks to him and the love he has for me.
Each day my love for him grows. We didn’t want to wait to be married, so we planned a simple wedding for the same month we got engaged with all our family and friends in the backyard, and to my surprise Declan showed up with his wife and walked me down the aisle.
I’ve gotten close with him and Nolan, getting to get a glimpse into my mom's life back in Ireland.
We've gone to visit Boston a few times and did go to the family reunion, which was huge.
I never knew so many of my extended family existed.
They all brought a piece of my mom with them to give ?to me.
The day after my birthday and everything that went down with my uncle.
A lawyer contacted me about my inheritance.
It didn’t take long for the transfer to go through, and I had so much money I didn’t know what to do with it.
It felt wrong to touch it every time I looked at my banking app.
The numbers made me sick to my stomach, knowing why I had so much money.
I knew I wanted to do something with it, so I broached the topic with the girls, and together we came up with the idea of opening ?a shelter for abused women and children.
We wanted to build something where they would have a safe place to land.
With endless resources for them. Where they wouldn’t have to look over their shoulders in fear like I did, as well as Scarlett and Bailey.
It's practically a fortress, and no one can get in unless authorized.
We left the vetting to the guys with Crow doing extensive background checks on the people who work with us.
We teamed up with the police and hospitals around our area and beyond.
And we will make damn sure they stay safe.
No one should feel like they are trapped and can't get out.
With a lot of blood, sweat, and tears, Harbor of Hope was born.
Today we open our doors to so many women and children who need it, and I couldn't be more proud of what we all accomplished here. I look around the courtyard and smile.
Arms wrap around me and hold my very pregnant belly. Our little girl is nestled in my belly, growing every day, and I can’t wait until she’s in our arms. “How are my girls doing?”
I sink into Hawk's arms, my favorite place to be. “A little tired, your daughter kept me up most of the night.”
He nuzzles my neck, kissing the spot behind my ear. “I will have to have a talk with her later about keeping her mama up at night.”
I snort. He can do that all he likes, but my girl thinks nighttime is for parties in mommy's belly.
I have a feeling she’s going to be a whirlwind when she’s older.
“Where are Sean and Lucas?” Our three-year-old twins are like tiny tornadoes, always getting into everything.
They both look exactly like Hawk, right down to their scowls.
They even have their own little cuts and ride tiny Harleys.
I could have killed Joker for that one when he brought them over.
I can feel Hawks' shoulders moving up and down with laughter. “They are with Joker. He is on children duty today.”
I sigh because that can only mean one thing. “What did he do this time?” I swear he's forever pranking his wife and us. Though children duty is a great punishment because there are a lot of them. The MC is running wild with so many kids now, and I love it.
“He thought it would be funny to place a cutout of Gollum on the bathroom counter. So when Madison turned on the light, that's the first thing she saw. He even got the kids to help him.”
I roll my eyes. “One of these days she really is going to put laxatives in his cupcakes, and he will only have himself to blame for that.” We laugh because it's true.
We stand there watching our family and friends welcoming people with open arms, and I smile with a heavy heart knowing I'm right where I belong. No matter how it brought me here, I'm where I'm meant to be.
I turn in my husband's arms, placing my hand over his heart, knowing it beats for me and our children and the life we built.
“Thank you for always standing beside me. You picked me up when my world was falling apart. You showed me what eternal love feels like, and I will be forever grateful for you walking into that diner and never giving up on me. I love you, and our children, and the life we have here.”
He wipes the tear that's fallen and leans his forehead against mine.
“Without you, this world would be so empty, so cold. You’re the heartbeat that keeps me going, the light that guides me through the darkest times. I love you more than words can ever express. You’re my strength when I’m weak, my hope when I’ve lost my way. I wouldn’t have this life, this love,
this happiness, nothing without you. Thank you for being my everything. I love you more than I could ever say, and I’m so grateful for you and our children. Whatever comes next, just know I'm right there beside you always.”
I close my eyes and smile, knowing that no matter what tomorrow brings, Hawk will be right there with his love guiding the way.
Our life might not be perfect, and the MC life isn't for everyone, but I wouldn't give it up for anything. Our family is crazy, messy, chaotic, and challenging most days, but we stick together always because those that come for one of us learn quickly you never cross The Lost Saints MC.
Love binds us; it’s what strengthens us, even in the toughest times.
And family, our greatest blessing, reminds us that no matter what life throws our way, we’re never alone.
It’s in the laughter of our children, the quiet comfort of shared mornings, and the unwavering support we give each other every day.
Love and family make this life worth living.
And I thank every star, every breath, for bringing us together to love, to laugh, and to build a future full of hope and endless possibilities.
