17. The End of Him
The End of Him
After a good night’s sleep and waking up in Love’s arms, I snuck outta bed while he was asleep and went downstairs.
Gio was still in the chair. He was asleep with his head hanging down. I walked past him and into the kitchen, putting a pot of water on the stove while I went ahead and made waffles, eggs, and bacon for me and Love.
Once everything was done and the water was boiling, I took the water and carefully carried it through the living room and to the entryway where Gio was sitting, and threw it on him.
He woke up screaming in pain, making Love run out of the room and look down from the top of the steps.
“Everything okay?” Love asked.
I smiled. “Yes, baby, breakfast is ready.”
Love nodded and walked back to the room. I looked back at Gio. He was breathing hard. Steam was rollin’ off his body. I leaned on the chair and looked him in his eyes.
“I was stuck in the house with you for days, unhappy and trying to get back to my life. I am going to make sure the next few hours you have on this earth are the worst you have ever felt.”
Gio stared at me as if he was trying to kill me with looks, and I laughed him off.
“Girl, you down here starting shit?” Love asked as he walked down the steps.
I kissed him as soon as he got to me.
“I started a lil’ bit, got him all hot.”
He looked at Gio and laughed.
“I have never seen Islah this mad, my boy,” Love said to Gio. “Shorty wants you so mad that you want to die. I never heard that shit.”
We walked into the kitchen, and I already had the food on the table for us.
As we ate, we talked about the weather, what I wanted to do before we left, and what I was looking forward to when we got home.
While Gio kept yelling and stomping in the same place he was left at, we continued to ignore him.
After cleaning up from breakfast, we took a walk outside, FaceTiming Amir to check on him. My heart felt so full when I saw him. Then we called my girls, Keith, and Sammy to check on them and let them know I was okay.
“Have you handled him yet?” Keith asked.
“Nah, but we ’bout to,” Love responded.
Once we were finished talking, we walked back inside, and Gio was still fuckin’ yelling.
“Are you not getting tired of this?!” I asked him. “I am tired of hearing you.”
I took the dishrag outta his mouth.
“Then kill me then, bitch! How dare you bring this nigga in my house and fuck him on my bed!”
I laughed at him.
“Because I can, Gio! You are not in control; you don't run shit. When I told you we were done, you didn’t want to listen. Now you are going to listen, watch, and feel everything I want you to until my man puts a bullet in you.”
Gio tried to laugh and started coughing.
“Your man is soft.”
Love pulled his Glock outta his pants and smacked Gio across the face with it.
“Who soft, nigga?! Talk about yourself, nigga, don’t speak on a real one.”
Gio tried to wipe the blood from his face, but had no way to do it.
“Let me the fuck go!” Gio yelled out.
“BITCH! What the fuck don’t you understand?” Love asked. “When we let you go, you will be in hell. The fuck is wrong with you? You picked the wrong nigga to play with, thinking shit was sweet. I don’t play with what’s mine.”
Listening to Love talk was doing something to me. I don’t know if it was not seeing him in a while, the gray shorts, the Glock, or the tone in his voice, but seeing this side of Love—the Zone 6 nigga in him—come out was doing something to me.
I stuffed the rag back in Gio’s mouth.
“I am tired of hearing him,” I said, pulling Love by his shirt to the living room, interrupting what he was sayin’ to Gio, and pushing him on the couch.
“Wussup, boo?” he asked me.
I shrugged. “I don’t know what it is. I just want you.”
He licked his lips. “Take me then.”
While I stood in front of Love, I grabbed a pillow off the couch and threw it on the floor. As I got on my knees, I threw my hair up in a messy bun, pulled his dick outta his gray shorts, and swallowed him.
“GOOODDD DAAAAMMMMNNN, Islah!” Love yelled out. “Take your time, mamas.”
I looked up at him, watching his head lean back.
Gio was behind me, still stomping, trying to make me stop, but I wasn’t. I swallowed my man’s dick, wanting Gio to think about when it was him.
“You miss what she used to do to you, huh Gio?” Love asked. “’Cause this shit sho do feel good.”
I kept sucking, spitting on his dick and licking it off, listening to my man enjoy all of it, while Gio was back there flipping out like a damn toddler.
“Ooou, Islah, you my nasty bitch, ain’t it?” Love asked.
I raised up and smiled. “I am, baby.”
Love grabbed my neck and kissed me. “You look so fuck sexy, mamas. Keep doin’ that.”
I nodded and went back down. My man was gripping the couch, fuckin’ my face while laughing at how mad Gio was.
“You finna cry, nigga?! A real nigga took yo’ bitch, and you can’t get her back, huh?”
Love had his head hanging back, his eyes were closed as I kept sucking him.
As he lifted his head, his eyes got big.
Before I could ask what was going on, Love pushed me to the side and was pulling his pants up when I looked back and saw Gio standing up with the arms of the chair still connected to him, but him no longer in the chair.
“Shit!” I yelled out.
“AHHHH!!!” Gio yelled as he rushed over and tried to rush Love, but Love shot him twice in his chest, sending Gio quickly to the ground.
I sat on the floor beside the couch, looking at Gio, who lay there staring at me, softly asking me for help.
Love walked over and helped me up, then kicked Gio in his face.
“Bitch, she won’t help you!” he said to Gio.
“You good?” Love asked.
I nodded, and he sat back down.
“Come finish me off, baby, I’m finna nut.”
I smirked and got back on my knees while Gio lay on the floor behind us, bleeding out.
“Ooou, Islah,” he said as I felt his dick throbbing in my mouth. “I’ma get this nut.”
I swallowed all of him, sat up, and licked my lips as he pulled his pants up and stood up.
We went and stood over Gio, trying to see if he was dead, but his eyes moved slowly in our direction.
“This nigga just don’t want to die!” I yelled out.
Love laughed. “It’s okay, luv… We’ll help him out.”
I looked up at Love and nodded.
He grabbed my hand, and I followed him to the kitchen, looking around for what we could start a fire with.
In the garage, I found some gas while Love grabbed some bottles off the bar and turned the eyes on the stove on and blew the fire out.
“Get out. Let me do this.”
I hurried up and walked outside and watched Love through the window pour gas and liquor over everything, leaving Gio for last.
Gio’s eyes were still open, trying to find me while Love poured everything on him. Once Love stepped out the door, Gio moved his body to face out the window. I waved at him and blew a kiss goodbye for good.
Love took the other bottle he had, pulled a rag out of his pocket, made a cocktail, and threw it inside the door.
We backed up as far as we could and watched the house go up in flames, along with Gio.
I took a seat on the pavement. Love sat beside me and wrapped his arms around me.
“It’s finally over,” I said softly.
“It is finally over, mamas.”
After a few minutes of watching, we heard sirens coming and started to walk down the street just as people were coming out of their homes to see where all the smoke was coming from. When we were far enough away, Love called us an Uber, and we sat on the curb waiting for it.
We sat there quietly for a while. In my head, I was replaying everything that had just happened when Love said, “We sent that nigga to hell hearing you top me off.”
I looked at him, and we laughed together as I laid my head on his shoulder.
“As long as he’s in hell, I don’t give a damn,” I expressed.
When we got in the car, we didn’t say shit. I just laid my head on his shoulder, and we stared out the window, watching the city pass us.
Once we got to the hotel and I walked into the suite, I was shocked.
“Welcome back to me, baby,” Love said as I looked around.
There were shopping bags all over from my favorite store, and flowers and rose petals covered every inch of the room and the floor.
“Love…this is—”
“All for you,” he said, cutting me off. “I missed you more than I could find words to express, so I bought shit I thought you would need and want.”
I ran over to him and hugged him. “I love you more than anything. Thank you.”
Love held me tight. “Thank you for staying strong for me. I don’t know what all you went through with him, but I am glad I have you and my baby back.”
Our lil’ moment got interrupted by our friends knocking at the door.
I ran over, and as soon as I opened the door, my girls flew in, hugging me.
“Man, we missed you sooo much,” Deja said.
“Please tell me you don’t have any more crazy exes?” Renee added.
“I missed y’all too, if only y’all knew.”
The rest of the night was amazing. We got food, we laughed and talked, and I felt the peace I used to have and wanted more than anything in the world.
As I lay back in Love’s arms while our people talked around us, Love asked me, “What do you need, mamas?”
I took a second and turned to look at him.
“The biggest problem I had…you fixed.”
Love leaned forward and kissed me.
“That’s what I’m supposed to do, mamas.”
