Goon #2
Using my shirt, I turned the diamond shaped doorknob. I pushed the door opened and closed the door back. I took a deep breath and opened the door back, and like I suspected, Inez was riding this nigga’s dick with drool spilling from her lips.
She wasn’t even on this planet and here he was holding her hips and slamming her down onto his dick. It was like déjà vu, and I was tired of experiencing it. Tired of pulling my cousin from her own demise.
Always forcing her to try to do better when it was clear that wasn’t what she wanted. How much more could you take loving a family member but also knowing their shit could drag you down.
Knowing they had the power to end you because there were no bounds or limits you would go for them. I had to have them, though; I couldn’t keep putting my family on the backburner.
Boobie and our baby were my family, and I had to change my stance. Put up a boundary, because if I would let Nez, she would ruin anything I had going on because she didn’t care. She had no feelings other than her own, and happiness wasn’t something she wanted.
I pulled my gun from my back and walked over towards Lyle laying there in pure bliss. He was getting fucked by someone who probably hadn’t washed her pussy in days. The more I stared at the way he was enjoying taking advantage of my cousin, the more I became angry.
Inez was to blame as well, but she wasn’t even in this room. Her mind was somewhere else as he continued to direct her on how to ride his dick. The anger boiled at my fingertips and I pulled the trigger, putting two bullets into his head.
Her eyes popped open as she looked down at Lyle with his brains splattered on the bed and walls behind them. I looked at her and snatched up a shirt that was on the dresser.
“Put on di bloodclaat shirt!” I said through gritted teeth.
Usually, she was slow moving with a lot of mouth, but she saw how I was getting down. Khaos rushed into the room and looked between Lyle and Inez with semen coming down the inside of her legs. Instead of asking why, he pulled his shit out and put two more into his chest.
Inez jumped back with her hands in the air. “Put the rest of your clothes on… fuck I look like shooting you.”
I went back towards the front with my gun drawn. My mind went blank and I didn’t even consider the fact that there was a full house of people. When I entered the kitchen, they all had left the house.
Looking out the worn curtains, they all were in front of the house trying to act normal. As if they didn’t hear gunshots in the backroom. Khaos came out the room with Nez behind him.
“Stay fucking behind me and keep your mouth shut,” he told her, looking over her with disgust.
“Kenneth, stop fucking talking to me like tha—”
He turned his neck as he stared down at her. “I’ll talk to you like a fucking dolphin if I want.”
I exited out the house because I just caught an unexpected body.
How the fuck did I always end up in situations like this?
I didn’t even want to be here, and now I had to play save heroine Hattie.
They were all standing around trying to play normal like they hadn’t witnessed a murder.
Each and every one of them were weasels, but even then, they weren’t to be underestimated.
“Get in the car, Inez,” I ordered.
She scurried from behind me and walked over towards my truck. “Fuck is up? We good?” Khaos questioned, flinching at one of them.
He toppled over the trash can and remained on top of the lid until Khaos moved away from him. “W…we good,” one of them stammered.
The sound of the police pressing their sirens caused us all to look out at the street. I closed my eyes and cursed under my breath. Had Inez fucking listened and stayed at Corleon’s house, I would have never been here.
Never would have lost my temper.
Never would have killed homie.
It wasn’t like I could jump in my truck and take off. The block was narrow as shit, so I was gonna have to slam into the cruiser on my way off the block.
“Got a call about some gunshots,” the fat officer squeezed himself out the passenger side.
His hand was already rested on his gun as he walked over toward us, looking like he was six months pregnant with a chuck roast. I couldn’t stand how some cops looked at Black men. It was like their sole purpose of becoming the man in the blue was to terrorize us.
When we saw his partner come behind him, you would have thought we could breathe easier, but that was never the case. Some of the Black officers were worse than their White partners. It was like they had a point to prove and wanted to suck up to massa.
“Ain’t heard shit around this way,” someone said.
I learned a long time ago not to say shit to the pigs. You say one thing and the next you’re in the back of a squad car going to be questioned.
“Give me your ID’s,” the second officer said.
“For what? We minding our Black business and you come asking for IDs like we did something,” the friend of the laced homie said, spitting at their boots.
The fat officer looked at the Black one. “You can either make this easy so we can go about our day, or you can end up taking a ride with us.”
“Fuck outta here… y’all patrol this area and hound us, but kids still end up killed in the parks made for them. Why the fuck you over here when you need to be keeping the city safe?”

“Oh, he a rebel,” Khaos snickered, as homie bumped chests with the officer.
No sooner than his chest connected with his vest, they both whipped their guns out. “He’s fucking unarmed, Bozos!” I yelled.
They trained their guns on me, and Khaos leaned up from the fence. The boy was standing there with his hands up without a weapon, and there they were ready to leave his blood in the streets. Another dead Black boy found from the bad side of town, and a new lawsuit for the city.
“Put your hands up and turn the fuck around!” they barked orders at me, leaving me no choice but to oblige.
All I could think about as I slowly raised my hands and turned toward the house that housed a dead body was about Boobie. Having to touch her stomach in a visitation room, knowing I had made her a single mother unintentionally broke my fucking heart.
Between the gun I had on me and the body, they were gonna toss the book at me. I could hear the sound of his cuffs and equipment become closer. Probably could feel his warm ass breath, but that wasn’t where my mental was. My mental was on my baby, and how I had let her down.
How I let my own mother down.
I promised them both that they would never see me in those greens again, and now I was certain I was about to be wearing them for the rest of my life.
My phone buzzed, and I dipped my hand into my pocket. Zoya’s name and face came across the screen, as the officer was busy running his big ass mouth.
Sorry, Boobie.
