Zoya #2

It had always been up to me and Landon to have children. We had written Menace off from ever procreating with his crazy ass. Kora had always said that if kids happened, then she would send them back to God. It wasn’t that she was against children, her love was in prison.

Having children with any other man but Mako was torture for her. The same as marrying and committing to another man. She had her fun but never got too serious with them. Kora allowing a man to get to know her, was like Spiderman ripping his mask off in Times Square during rush hour.

It was never going to happen.

“Your family is strict when it comes to having kids. Meanwhile these hoes are like damn rabbits.” Kobe pointed at the Delgatos, and then to Capri.

“Not me. I had one, and God gifted me the other one… girl math,” Blair announced.

Capri screwed her face up. “Did you not get fucked in the bathroom of the jet?”

“Bitch, now you telling our business,” Blair fanned herself, reliving her time at the mile high club.

“And is.”

“Says the woman who popped out one, then decided to double it with two more… plus, Elijah has been going through sleep regression or something. I had a meeting to speak with Killian, but all of this happened.”

“What’s wrong?” I asked.

“He doesn’t sleep. It’s like he’s scared to sleep, and then he keeps bringing up missing Maggie. I don’t know who she is, and he doesn’t speak about her. Think she’s an imaginary friend or something.”

Kobe leaned up. “Oh, keep the little nigga away from me. I do a lot, but that spirit shit is where I draw the line.”

“My baby isn’t haunted, Kobe,” Blair protested.

I looked in the opposite direction. “I mean, ain’t that how Insidious started?”

“Exactly how,” Erin cosigned.

Blair laughed as she stood up. “Fuck all of you… fuck you all. I’m trying to figure out this parenting thing. It’s hard work. I want the best for my boy; he’s been through a lot.”

“If he start asking for her to have dinner with y’all, just go on and make those accommodations for the house with the padded walls.”

Capri snorted and then couldn’t hold it in and started laughing. “I’m sorry, B… I’m sorry.”

I felt a hand on my shoulder and looked up, and Goo was standing there. His eyes still had sleep in them. His hand held my neck as he kissed me deeply, and then climbed to sit behind me.

“We can leave, Goon… it’s really no problem,” Kobe started in on him, and Goo laughed while flipping him off.

“Fuckkk! Sucked her lips off her face.” When we looked over at Syn, this bitch had her hands over her eyes.

Goo laughed as he rubbed my thighs. “Might want to find where Havoc at and go get you one.”

“Fuck all of you! That is my friend, I don’t even like—”

“Damn, I was gonna sit here, but you might be struck by lightning.” Havoc stood behind her.

She spun around, looking up and then had this silly grin on her face. “Oh, well if it ain’t Mr. Scared of Commitment.”

“I ain’t never say no shit like that.”

Kobe sipped his drink loudly. “Kind of.”

Havoc shot Kobe a look. “Deadass?”

Kobe did the zipper motion across his mouth. “I ain’t said nothing, Hams.”

I was tickled by their interaction because it was clear they both had a crush on each other. Synthia was playing it off like she didn’t like him, when he was all she had been talking about since we been here.

“Can I talk to you, Tiny?”

She folded her arms being defiant. “Actually, I have alo—”

With little to no effort, he picked her up and tossed her over his shoulder. “She’ll be back.”

“No she won’t!” Kobe yelled. “Kang! What’s up with you?”

At this point, Quasim just let Kobe be, and everyone knew it. “I’m about to tell Jett that you feeling him.”

“You better not, King… that’s not like you,” Kobe nearly spit his teeth out of his mouth.

Quasim smirked as he slid onto the cabana that Capri and Blair shared. “Try me, Kang.”

“It’s because I’m gay, right? This is where all the injustice is coming I—”

“Kobe, shut up!” we all hollered before he got on his podium and waved his flag around.

“Kobe and Jett sitting in a tree,” Meer sang out, already in everybody’s business. Instead of climbing onto the bed like his brother did, this nigga dove into the bed, knocking the snacks we had all over.

“Meercat, what the fuck?” Capri looked at him.

He slipped his hand into his pocket and handed her something. She took it and took a bite, as they got comfortable on the bed.

Cappadonna came out with Ryder and Elijah running behind him. “I don’t do business like that… I worked hard on the cleaning company I own.”

“We are sorry, Uncle Cappy. You shouldn’t pay us before we do a job… we are kids,” Ryder stared up at him with her hand on her little hip.

I laughed because Queen was absolutely right. “And he shorted us, too. Maggie wouldn’t have liked that.”

Cappadonna took a step back. “Sim, your kid being weird again… I’m not trying to piss off Maggie.”

We all were in tears with the way that Cappadonna was backing away from Elijah. He looked at Ryder, and then back at Elijah. “You handle the business part, Ryder… your partner tripping a little.”

“Cappadonna!” Blair said, keeping her laugh in as she pulled her son into a hug.

He pointed at her and then Elijah. “Maggie been mentioned one too many times since I got here… just saying.”

Then this nigga did a cross sign on Elijah’s forehead, and Capri sped from the bed and ran towards her villa. I just knew she was about to piss herself, because I was close. Alaia had her face buried into the pillow while Erin was in the sand.

What made the entire thing funnier, was because Cappadonna was seriously spooked out.

“Elijah, don’t listen to him… we’ll find Maggie,” Ryder assured him.

“Peach, listen here… your uncle is damn near a reverend and if he needs to perform that exorcism, he needs to only do the shit once,” Meer told Ryder.

Goo got up from the chair and took off running while clapping his hands. Erin was nearly at heaven’s doorsteps with the way she kept heaving.

“Daddy, we don’t give up on family.”

“We do if they possessed,” Meer mumbled, and Sim punched him in the arm while holding back his laugh.

“He going through a phase right now.” I think he was convincing himself more than us, ‘cause the minute my child mentioned a name I had never heard before, I was gone.

Ryder and Elijah skipped back to the house because Gams called them, while we all moved to the couches that were on the beach. Every morning I watched the staff move them onto the beach and then return them every night.

Goo and Cappadonna were still laughing and talking, as I got comfortable on my end of the couch. Capri returned and got comfortable in her husband’s lap, while Blair was sitting on the edge of the couch and Quasim pulled her onto his lap, kissing her lips.

“He might be having a mental breakdown,” she worried, as he continued to kiss her lips, trying to ease her mind.

Blair usually worked herself up and rather than her getting ready to commit the boy, she needed to allow time to past to figure out if this was a phase.

“Kids have imaginary friends, my love.”

“Elijah never had one until recently. Says he can feel her or something.”

Meer scooted him and Capri further away, while Kobe decided to sit next to me. “They got some shit with them,” he whispered with a sandwich in his hand.

“Now, where the hell you get that from?”

“Gams… I can’t do that starve all day mess. I need to eat me something… gotta stay thick, feel me?”

“Kobe, please,” I laughed.

I moved over when I saw my baby coming over toward me. He plopped down with some water and handed it to me. “I’m not thirsty.”

“Drink the water, Zoya,” he replied sternly.

I leaned up and stared at him. “What’s with the attitude, Gerald.”

His ass switched like he was bi-polar or something. I wasn’t thirsty and here he was shoving that damn water in my face.

“Go on and drink the water, girl… this one was super strict when I was pregnant. Then he made that one enforce it whenever he wasn’t around,” she pointed at Goo.

Meer leaned up finally catching on to what we were talking about. “You trapped the demon?”

“Fuck you, Pissy!”

“That epidural dream of mine is coming into fruition quicker than I thought. Congratulations, G!” He shoved Capri off him, got up and dapped Goon.

Then this nigga gave me a hug and kissed my cheek. “Congratulations, Zoya… you like himmmmm!”

Recommendation: Listen to “Friends” by The Carters

“Ugh, I cannot stand you!” I laughed, as I wiped my face.

Quasim smiled. “Congratulations, G!”

“Um, it takes two to make it… the hell you congratulating him for, Kang!” Kobe started with him again, and Sim pulled his phone out. “I mean King… I’m so sorry.”

“Gams, Sharon, and moms is throwing down in there,” Capone hopped over the couch and sat next to his wife.

“And you in there being greedy.”

He kissed her temple and laughed, while I looked at them all. I was over the well wishes and celebrating this baby. There might not be a damn baby if Forty got to this island and he was the actual killer.

Although I didn’t think he was.

“Any of you watched the news?”

Cappadonna leaned forward in the one singular chair. “Nah. Don’t think we need to be reminded of the shit that went down.”

The link that Forty had sent had long disappeared.

I didn’t need it because after a search on the internet I was able to pull it up quickly.

It was trending everywhere, and because he was considered one of theirs, they wanted him bad.

I handed my phone to Capp, and he pulled his glasses out, and watched the video.

I couldn’t say that I never saw a man go through every emotion known to man. The one that shocked me the most was how misty eyed he became. “Where the fuck is my brother?”

Forty and Cappadonna were just as close as he was with his twin. Prison had took him away from his twin, but he was able to visit and speak to him often. Forty couldn’t see him while he was in there all those years. From what Capri says, they didn’t speak all that often, either.
