Dr. Masterson: This is Dr. Elizabeth Masterson. Today marked my first session with new resident, Caspian Hook. These are my observations.

Dr. Masterson: Subject name, Caspian “Captain” Hook—hereinafter referred to as F523. Species, high-born fae with ties to the Sea Court. Age unknown, but appears to be in his late twenties to early thirties, as with all fully matured fae. Height, six feet, though he claims to be six foot two. Weight, undocumented. Notable markings, hoop earrings, multiple tattoos, most notably a Jolly Roger on his right forearm. Presents as a pirate rather than the high-born fae his blood suggests. Claims to be Captain Hook from Ravenndel. This remains to be seen. *heavy exhale*

Dr. Masterson: F523 is going to be a challenge. He believes—wrongly—that he arrived by nefarious means, specifically that he orchestrated his admission to Blackwood unbeknownst to us. As a high-born, full-blooded fae, his glamour is extremely potent. In fact, despite our numerous fae residents, I’ve never seen anyone that matches him in this area. Even our strongest potion designed to neutralize glamour has proven ineffective so far. We might have to double or even triple the dose. Note—reach out to Belladonna coven. Perhaps they know of something that might be of assistance in this regard.

Dr. Masterson: In addition to the removal of several unauthorized weapons upon his intake, we confiscated multiple bags of pixie dust. Due to that revelation, I recommend F523 undergo a detox program prior to beginning any further treatment. It is also my recommendation that F523 be kept under close surveillance. Until his glamour is successfully managed, he is a risk both to staff and the other residents. Also, it is important that we uncover his motivations for quote ‘sneaking into’ end quote Blackwood. He does not appear to recognize that he was already on our admissions list, but the fact that he wanted to willingly be placed here suggests ulterior motives that might threaten our own mission.

Dr. Masterson: *musing hum* Yes. Yes, I think that will do nicely. *clears throat* I will assign additional security to covertly watch him. He’s crafty, and cannot know he’s being watched, so as he identifies as a pirate, I will ask some of Blackwood’s mages to take the forms of a gossip of mermaids and keep tabs on him. Nautica, our only current mermaid resident, will benefit from having some perceived fellow merfolk around as well.
