Sierra
Chapter twenty-five
Istill can’t believe the confession Cyrus made last night. He’s attracted to me. I’ve seen the desire in his eyes, even caught him sneaking glances at me. I just never expected he really wanted me. But I have to figure out how to tell him I’m not as old as he thinks without him hating me.
Sam comes bounding into my room, already dressed in her swimsuit, ready to go to the guys’ house. She takes a running leap right onto my bed, causing us both to bounce in the air.
“Come on, Ci Ci, get up. We get to go have fun today!” she shouts excitedly, before bouncing off the bed and running out of the room, down the hallway. Laughing at her, I sigh. It’s time to get up.
Shit, I hope she doesn’t make the downstairs neighbor mad. The last thing I need is for them to make a noise complaint. I was hoping she would sleep longer, but she didn’t.
Crawling out of bed, I head to the bathroom, needing a quick shower to wash the club off of me. As I pass by the phone lying on my dresser, I glance at it and see it’s already nine-thirty. Shit! I need to hurry.
Taking just long enough in the shower to hit all the important parts and wash off the grime, I quickly jump out and run to get dressed.
I rummage through my drawer, knowing I have a bathing suit in here somewhere from when I took Sam to the YMCA to swim last summer.
I finally find it crammed way in the back.
A little nervous to be wearing a two-piece around them, I quickly slip it on and pull a pair of shorts and a shirt over it. It’s the only suit I have, so I don’t have any other choice. Rushing back to the bathroom, I brush my teeth and hair, then head out to the kitchen.
When I walk in, Sam looks up and smiles from where she’s sitting at the table. A bowl of cereal in front of her. Getting a bowl from the cabinet, I sit down beside her and pour my own.
I debate telling her, but glancing over, seeing how excited she is, I know I need to remind her.
“Sam, I really need you to remember the rules today.” I focus intently on her, my face void of emotion.
She drops her spoon into her cereal, rolling her eyes. “Ci Ci, I’m not dumb. I won’t say anything.”
God, I want to believe her, but she’s only ten, and sometimes things slip when you don’t mean to. Hell, I'm a perfect example of that.
“I’m sorry if it seems like I’m nagging you, but I just don’t want to risk losing you. I love you, Sam.” Smiling, I reach over and squeeze her hand real quick.
“You won’t, and if they try to take me, I’ll run and hide,” Sam says matter-of-factly, picking her spoon up and taking another bite of her cereal.
We continue eating in silence, and once Sam is done, I tell her to go get her bag, so we can head downstairs and wait.
I’m praying everything goes off without a hitch and no one unexpectedly shows up there. When Zander invited us, it seemed like no one but Sam and I would be there, but I’m not a hundred percent sure. I just can’t handle an encounter with Wesley today.
I quickly spoon the rest of the cereal into my mouth, then rinse out the bowl and sit it in the sink to wash when we get home. I head to the living room, grab my bag from the couch, and call out to Sam. “Let’s go!”
Sam comes running, bypassing me, and heads out the door straight for the stairs. Seeing her so excited makes me smile. Bounding down the stairs two at a time, I hurry to catch up to her. She may just take off into the street as excited as she is.
Zander’s car is pulling up at the curb as we are walking out. Braxton bolts from the passenger side when it stops, running up to Sam. Picking her up, he spins her around in the air, causing her to squeal.
“Hey babe, how was work last night?” Zander steps up beside me and looks down.
I was so caught up in enjoying the look of excitement on Sam’s face, I didn’t even notice when he got out of the car.
“It was okay; long, but good.” I smile, hoping he changes the subject. The less I have to talk about work, the better. “I brought my notebook and the book in case we want to work on our assignment.”
“Nope, not today,” Braxton announces as he steps up beside me, Sam on his shoulders. He’s turned into a human jungle gym for her. “Sam’s riding in the back with me. We’ve got some catching up to do.”
Sam giggles as Braxton takes her off his shoulders and lowers her to the ground. Walking her to the back of the car, he helps buckle her inside.
“That means you get to ride shotgun and control the radio,” Zander jokes, as he places his hand on the small of my back, leading me to the passenger side door.
“Umm, is anyone else going to be there?” I ask, needing to get rid of the fear that this is a prank.
“No, well, Colt is home, and our dad. Normally Dad’s boyfriend would be there, but he’s working, at least I think he is. But no, Sierra, no one from school is going to be there. I made sure to let Colt know not to invite anyone over. Brax and I didn’t want you to be uncomfortable in any way.”
My heart fills with warmth. His kindness is just so unexpected.
I knew he said he was going to prove he wants to be my friend.
I just didn’t expect he would to this degree.
He literally took into account any possibility that would cause me unease.
Well, there is Colton, but he can’t just tell his brother he can’t be in his own home.
Braxton and Sam fill the ride with chatter. I swear my face is going to be in pain tonight from all the smiling I’ve done in just this short amount of time.
I watch Zander out of the corner of my eye.
He’s so focused on the road ahead, he doesn’t notice me staring.
His shaggy hair has fallen down onto his forehead, hanging down into his eyes, giving him a surfer look.
Looking down at his arms as they hold onto the steering wheel, I see how tanned he is, something I never noticed before.
He must spend a great deal of time outdoors.
Before I know it, we pull into a neighborhood.
All the homes are huge and must cost a ton.
It’s a slap in the face, serving as a reminder that we’re in totally different income brackets.
Curiosity hits me at what they must think of where I live, a run-down apartment building that's probably older than their grandparents.
Zander takes a right, then a left before pulling into a three-story brick home. There’s a U-shaped driveway in front of it, with one side connecting to a smaller driveway leading right up to a carport.
Turning the car off, Zander turns to me, “Ready? Do you need to change, or are we good to head right to the pool?”
“We have bathing suits under our clothes, so pool.” I shrug, looking around.
“Great! I’ll show you around back and then run upstairs and change into mine,” Zander says before Braxton chimes in.
“No need, Zan, my trunks are on under my jogging pants. I can escort the ladies and you can meet us when you're done.”
Zander looks at me as if to ask if I’m okay with that, giving me the opportunity to say no. Nodding, I smile and shoo him off, before turning to face Braxton.
Braxton
Walking to the back, I’m giddy. Shit, can a guy be giddy or is that solely something a girl feels? Whatever. Knowing I’m going to be spending the day with my girl has my heart beating fast with excitement. Yes, my girl, whether she knows it or not, that’s what she’s going to be.
“Here we are, Pool Stevenson. Lounges to the right, drinks and the snacks on left just inside the house, brought to you by your personal cabana boys Brax and Zan,” I say in my best announcer voice, and she laughs, the first genuine one I’d heard.
My chest puffs out with pride; she thinks I’m a comedian.
“Sam, if you fold your dress and place it on the lounger, I’ll put some sunscreen on you,” she says, searching through her bag for the lotion, I presume.
She doesn’t waste any time yanking the dress over her head, doing just as Sierra told her. While she does that, I slip off my shoes, pulling my shirt over my head, before sliding my jogging pants down my legs, tossing them onto the ground. I’m not concerned with folding them.
I must have taken longer than I thought because when I turned around, I caught the most beautiful sight I’ve ever seen and I had to will my cock to stay soft. Standing before me is Sierra in a two-piece suit, her ample cleavage busting out of the top.
My mouth hangs open and I can feel the wetness of imaginary drool trail down my chin. Reaching up, I wipe just in case.
She seems nervous, her hands clasped in front of her, as she shifts back and forth on her feet, with her eyes cast down to the ground.
“Come on, Ci Ci, let's go swim,” the bundle of energy shouts out as she runs over to Sierra, taking her by the hand and pulling her over to the pool.
Seeing some hesitation, I take it as my cue to lighten the mood. Taking off at a run, I head straight to the pool and jump in, doing a cannonball, causing the water to splash up and soak them both.
As I pop back up, I see Zan standing at the door to the kitchen watching and instantly know he’s trying to calm his dick down before he steps out here after seeing her in the swimsuit.
“Come on, Sam, the water feels good.” I try to coax her in. “When Zan gets out here, we can play chicken or volleyball.”
“What’s chicken?” she giggles as she puts her arms to her side and starts flapping them, going ‘bak bak’ as she takes the steps into the shallow end of the pool.
“I don’t know. She hasn’t been swimming in so long, I think that may be risky.” Sierra’s face shows how worried she is.
“It's okay, we won’t let anything happen to the little angel. She can go on Brax’s shoulders. He’s better at the game than me, anyway,” Zan says wickedly, knowing it’s a bullshit lie. But he wanted Sierra’s thighs wrapped around his neck the same as I did. He was just quicker.
Fuck me! Just that thought has me thinking all kinds of dirty, wicked things. Calm down boy, no hard-on around her, don’t want to scare her away.
Sierra turns to look at Zan, and I take the opportunity to shoot daggers at him. But hey, you snooze you lose and I definitely lost.
“He’s right, Ci Ci. I am the better one, remember that.” I wink and give her a smile that always has girls batting their eyes and following me around like a dog in heat.
Sierra slides into the water, her tits bouncing on top of it.
And damn if I don’t have to subtly reach down and adjust my hardening cock.
I already know what's about to happen when I see Zan take off at a run.
He screams, “Cannnnooonnnnballll” and jumps into the water, splashing the girls.
They squeal before erupting into a fit of laughter.
He shoots up out of the water and slides his hands through his wet hair, pushing it out of his eyes. “Who’s ready for chicken?”
“Mmmeeee,” Sam cries, raising her hand in excitement.
Moving over to her, I lift her out of the water and place her on my shoulders before dunking underneath the water.
A moment later Sierra goes flying up in the air, as Zan stands up underneath her, with her legs wrapped around his neck, sitting firmly on his shoulders.
He takes hold of each of her thighs with his hands and it's then I see the birthmark that looks like what I swear is a pair of pink-colored lips on her inner thigh.
“Okay partner, the object of the game is for you to stay on my shoulders while pushing your sister off of Zan’s. Got it?” I ask her.
“Got it. You’re going down, Ci Ci.” God, I love this kid’s enthusiasm.
I always wanted a sister and now I know for a fact I’d want her to be just like Sam.
We spend the next hour playing chicken, and Sam and I win every time.
The last time, when Sierra falls backward off Zan’s shoulders and hits the water, I swear her tit pops out of the top.
If it does, she recovers quickly and puts it back in, immediately calling for a break from the game, saying she needs to use the restroom.
Zan volunteers to show her where it is. Sierra quickly dries off and follows him inside while I continue to play with Sam, who in no way is ready to get out of the water.
The fucker’s on his game today and was quicker than I was. It's okay, I got Sam on my side; she loves me. He may think he’s sneaky, trying to make sure he’s there for her first but it’s game on sucker.
