Chapter twenty-seven

The ride home is filled with Sam and Zander chatting as I stare aimlessly out the window at the passing scenery.

Braxton had chosen to stay behind and do some homework he needed to take care of.

The unsure look in his eyes told me a different story; something else kept him from coming with us, and I’m not sure I want to know what it was.

Zander leans into me, after pulling up to the curb, whispering in my ear, “I had a great time today. Wish you could have stayed longer.”

I hear the backdoor shut as Sam jumps out, and races inside the building.

Turning back to Zander, I smile, “Me too. I better get inside and let her in.” Zander looks at me curiously and I quickly add, “You know, in case my aunt has the door locked because she’s asleep.”

Fuck, what is happening to me? Every time I’m around these guys, I screw up and let something slip. Here I thought it would be Sam, but instead, it’s me.

“Gotcha,” he says, but his eyes tell me he doesn’t believe me. “Can I text or call you later, you know, before you go to work?”

“I’d love that.” I turn to open the door, but he reaches out and grabs hold of my arm, stopping me. Leaning in, he kisses me softly, nothing passionate, just a sweet kiss, and my heart flutters.

“I’ve been dying to do that all day. Talk to you later, babe.” He winks as I turn, shocked by what happened, and get out of the car, heading inside. My hand comes up, rubbing across my lips.

My first kiss!

I should be screaming for joy, but I’m not. Once he finds out I’ve done nothing but lie to him, he’ll never want to talk to me again. Slowly heading up the stairs, I bypass the elevator so I have time to rein in my emotions.

Sam’s seated at the table, eating a bag of chips, when I step inside the door.

I love her appetite. Goodness knows if I were to eat anything else I would throw up, not from being full but from nerves.

What I ate was barely enough to fill me up.

Mr. Stevenson kept urging me to eat more, but I didn’t want to look like a pig.

Opting to allow Sam to take the extra helpings over me, I noticed his raised eyebrow each time I declined.

“Sam, I’m going to take a shower. Remember, don’t open the door to anyone,” I tell her as I walk past, dropping the bag with our swim stuff on the couch.

“Can I call Felecia or Destiny?” she asks sweetly.

Pausing, I think about it before giving in. “Yeah, but no one else, okay? It’s in the bag.”

“Promise.” She grins and I turn to head to the bedroom when she speaks up again. “Thank you for today. It was so much fun.”

A smile crosses my face, knowing that I brought her just a tiny bit of happiness.

Going into my room, I walk straight to my dresser and pull out some underwear and a pair of shorts, a shirt, and head to the bathroom.

As I step into the hallway, I already hear her giggles. She didn’t waste any time calling her friend. Hearing her have some of the normalcy that childhood brings soothes my soul, especially since we live each day in fear of someone finding out about our living situation.

Stepping inside the bathroom, I shut the door behind me, turn the shower on, and remove my clothes, placing them in the hamper.

While waiting for the water to warm up, my thoughts go back to today.

It was a lot of fun, minus the prying questions.

I never expected to have so much fun with anyone from my school.

My stomach still has butterflies thinking about the guys with their buff bodies and how the water glistened on them.

Each with their own six-pack and Adonis belt.

Stepping into the shower, I let the water hit my back, pounding out all the tension held between my shoulder blades. Picking up the body wash, I pour some on the washcloth and lather up my body, my thoughts still on the guys, the rippling of their muscles, the bulge in their pants.

My hand glides across my soapy stomach, up to my breast, my fingertips circling around one of the hardened peaks, before pinching, sending tingles straight to my core. Biting down on my lip, I fight back the moan that tries to escape, not wanting Sam to hear.

But the ache between my legs is growing, desperately needing a release. Dropping the rag to the tub floor, my fingers venture toward my pussy, gliding in circles on my clit while my other hand pinches and pulls on my nipple.

Throwing back my head, my fingers faster over my tiny nub.

The tingles in my stomach grow, a sign that I’m close.

Needing, no, wanting to come, I assault my clit, until my orgasm hits and tiny bursts of white light explode behind my eyes.

My body shutters in the aftermath of one of the most intense orgasms I’ve ever had.

Placing the palm of my hand on the shower wall, I take a moment to get my breathing under control as I come down from the euphoric high. Once I’ve calmed down, I finish my shower, hoping to get a short nap in before having to go to work.

Stepping into the hallway, I hear Sam still chatting away on the phone, giggling over something her friend said. “Sam, I’m taking a nap.”

“Okay,” she calls back.

Two hours later, I wake up feeling well rested and feed Sam, who then cons me into playing a game of Monopoly with her.

I put off getting ready for work until I absolutely have to, a nagging feeling in my stomach that something bad is about to happen.

When I’m dropping Sam off for the night, Mrs. Butler surprises me, announcing they are having a movie night and sleepover, so I don’t have to pick her up when I get home from work.

As much as I want to tell her she doesn’t have to, the chance to sleep in is too alluring.

After telling them both goodbye, I make my way down the stairs and out the door, a small smile appearing on my face when I see Cyrus leaning against his car, waiting.

His words last night replay in my head, sending a shiver of excitement up my spine.

“Ready for a thrilling night at work, Lilac?” he asks as he pushes off his car and opens the doors.

Fuck if he isn’t sexy, looking just like Jake Ryan from Sixteen Candles.

He’s wearing tight ass jeans, showing off every feature of his body, black combat boots, and a gray shirt with the club logo on it.

The only thing I hate is the sunglasses he’s wearing hiding his beautiful eyes.

“Handsy men, drunks, and bar fights. What more could a girl want? Hopefully, the money is flowing like the river,” I sass back with a wink, causing the corner of his lips to turn up in a smirk.

Tonight was crazy, the place packed like a can of sardines.

Everyone in town, plus a few neighboring ones, must’ve wanted to go see tits and ass.

Not only did that have my stomach churning, ready to empty all its contents, but add on the ten private lap dances I did tonight and I was done.

The last guy reeked of weed, alcohol, and body odor.

Thankfully, he kept his hands to himself.

However, his dick kept his pants tented the entire time while I tried to not touch it.

I was never happier when the music ended and I could get the hell up out of there.

The strangest dance was a couple. The man paid for me to give the woman he was with a lap dance.

His eyes never looked at me. Every time I glanced at him, he was focused on his woman, so I guess he gets some props for that.

And let’s just say the fifty-dollar tip was nice, too.

It was the first time I danced for a woman; it was erotic, but I’m definitely not into women.

Sweat is dripping down my back and face as I step off the stage from my last number. Cyrus has been there all night to hand me a towel, or a coverup, but he’s missing this time. I roam the room looking for him, but even at two in the morning, it’s still so crowded I don’t see him anywhere.

Making my way through the crowd, the majority of the men stop me to say how hot I am or what they’d like to do to me, and I try not to gag. Not from what they’re saying so much, but from all the strange hands that are touching my skin.

Pushing forward, I try to clear my mind as my heart rate increases and my breathing grows more erratic. I know I need to get the fuck out of this crowd. The last thing I need is a full-blown panic attack here for everyone to see.

“No touching the dancers!” a strained, raspy voice bellows from behind me. “Cyrus, get her to the back.”

“On it, Rico.” A strong arm wraps around my waist as the calming and familiar scent of Cyrus engulfs me.

“Baby, why are you out here in this crowd in just your thong?” His gruff voice hits my ears, sending tingles through my body, and I snort.

“You weren’t there.”

“I know, had to handle a fucking fight, but I promise to always be there in the future.” His voice sounds true to his promise, and my heart swells.

I’ve always thought he was too sweet to work here, too attractive. Until last night I didn’t think I was in his league, but to know he wants me, has me aching for him in a way I haven’t wanted a man since Wesley. No, that’s a lie, because I feel the same way around the twins and Zander.

Once he finds out about my age, he’s going to hate me.

I lied to him and that's the worst thing you can possibly do. Even Zander and Braxton will find me repulsive when they find out I’m a stripper, willingly showing my body to any man in the room.

I’d add Colton to that, but we aren’t there yet.

I think his friendship and loyalty are to Wesley.

My mind is in such a fog I don’t realize we’re in the dressing room until he sits me down in a chair. Opening my locker, he takes out my clothes.

He slips my arms through the strap of my bra, snapping it in the back, then looks at me before taking a deep breath. “Lilac, I need to touch your tits to make sure they're in there right. Do I have permission?”
