Epilogue
Sierra
Graduation Day
“Sierra Jones,” the principal calls and I walk across the stage, head held high.
Looking out into the audience, I see John, Cyrus, Mr. Stevenson, Mrs. Butler, Rico, Sam—
And I do a double take.
Is that?
Fuck, it is. Arizona is standing up, whistling and clapping, with a swarm of men, dressed in Hellions Cuts, surrounding her. My eyes glance up toward the ceiling and bright lights. I swear I can see my mother’s face smiling back at me.
A warmth surrounds me as I finish my walk, shaking the vice principal's hand and taking the diploma, cradling it close to my heart.
I start to walk away, but he stops me. “Hold on,” he whispers.
“Sierra is also a recipient of the Morrow Scholarship, for students who have overcome extenuating circumstances to graduate top of her class. She will have a full scholarship to any college of her choosing.”
My heart drops as the crowd erupts in applause. I’m handed a packet by the vice principal and I smile as I walk off the stage.
Never in my life did I imagine this. As I take my place back in my seat, I see Wesley sitting a couple of people down, smiling at me, and I give an awkward one back as I sit.
But my strained expression quickly morphs into excitement as I see my boyfriends walking across the stage to receive their diplomas.
I did it. I made it through this place alive. I may have been broken at first, but now I feel complete. I have my family, both chosen and biological, and the loves of my life by my side.
Nothing can stop us.
After all the students cross the stage and return to their seats, we stand to move our tassels and toss our hats, celebrating graduation. The guys quickly find me in the crowd, wrapping me in their arms and kissing me.
We still get stares, but we choose to ignore them. We don’t care who accepts our relationship or what they think of us. The only opinions that matter are ours.
“What now?” Zander asks as our family makes their way over to us, Cyrus and Sam in the front, leading the pack.
“We just got the new bed delivered today. My vote is for group sex. What better way to celebrate surviving high school than breaking in a new bed with our girl!” Colton announces boldly, with a wink.
Our eyes shift between each other before finally landing on Cyrus.
“Sounds like the perfect plan to me,” I say.
