CHAPTER 12
HEAVEN SENT
Nicolai
I call Angelina, already missing the sweet sound of her
voice. It rings a few times before she finally answers.
“ Clingy much? ” She asks in her cute voice.
“ Oh, this is nothing. I ’ m taking you out, so I ’ ll pick you up
in twenty. There ’ s a great steak house that just opened nearby, ” I
say back.
“ Aw, Nico! How kind of you to ask! Hm, give me a minute
while I think about it, ” she says.
“ Angel,” I say with little patience in my tone.
“ Still thinking! ” She shouts over the phone.
“ Angelina, ” my voice is more stern this time.
I don ’ t typically use her full name, but she ’ s pushing my
limits here, and she knows it.
