I fell asleep by Nico ’ s side last night as soon as I laid down.
I was exhausted and extremely full of dinner. That was seriously the
best meal I ’ ve ever had.
When Nico opened up about his parents, it was my first time
seeing his soft side. My heart hurts for him, but I honestly feel more
rage than sympathy. I can see how badly he wants justice for his
family, and it pisses me off that the killer got away with it. I didn’t
know Nico’s parents, but based on the man he is, they didn’t
deserve that fate. I told him I ’ d help find who did it, and I meant
that.
I packed plenty of clothes but slept in one of Nico ’ s button-
up shirts. It was surprisingly comfortable and smelled like him, so I
