Chapter 18 Bringing Him Home
Because of the concussion Hanyang was finally brought home by me.
The first thing he did after waking was to feel me from head to toe, even lifting my clothes to check carefully.
That day had been chaotic. I took a few punches but they were nothing serious. The main issue was Hanyang. That stick had hit hard. I had almost thought he would not wake up.
His enthusiasm scared me. I weakly pushed at his chest. "Not now! The doctor said you need rest."
After confirming I was fine Hanyang returned to his cold treatment. He walked back to the room and lay down, ignoring everything I said.
After learning his past I felt Hanyang was actually simple. He had been betrayed too many times.
The thirty-one-year-old Hanyang was like this. The eighteen-year-old Hanyang was the same.
He was insecure and stubborn. Because of fear he never took the initiative to approach. Only after confirming love countless times would he, like a small animal, bare his softest and most vulnerable belly to the other person.
Now, the thing I was most grateful for in this life was having a mouth.
After I explained Zhuo Qiang's matter clearly Hanyang turned his head away instead, refusing to look at me.
"Still angry? Look at me and the child. We're both worried about you."
When Hanyang turned back his face was covered in tears, his expression confused.
I fished the dog out from under the bed. "The furry child."
He looked at us for a while before slowly speaking. "I'll pay you back the money."
"Pay what? It's not your debt."
"I'm going to catch that shameless father of yours and make him work for me, so you don't need to worry. Rest well, but after you recover you have to go to school."
"Otherwise..."
I leaned in and licked the corner of his mouth.
"I'll kiss you to death."
Hanyang's face reddened again. He leaned back. "Why are you always like this?"
"None of your business?"
As we kissed things went wrong. I pretended to be confused and asked what happened.
He glanced at me.
"Annoying!"
