Chapter 18 Moving Out
I moved out.
After talking to Old Master Chi.
I moved to the city where my ideal university was.
I overestimated the score. Unlikely to get in.
Grandpa left me some money.
But for long-term development.
I planned to find a summer job first.
To save on rent.
So I shared a room with others.
I just found a summer job.
Unexpectedly, Chi Jin came to my door the next day.
He glared at me angrily.
Chi Jin gritted his teeth. "You hooked me and ran?
"When I asked you to bring water, tutor, or warm the bed, why not think about the consequences?"
Then he spotted the roommate's slipper.
Chi Jin was broken. "I am going to kill that wild man."
I held the door and explained slowly.
"I did not hook you, and I never asked you for anything."
Right after, Chi Jin staggered.
Without close inspection, one could not see the moisture at the corners of his eyes.
He said, "So what am I to you?
"Am I the one paying for everything?"
I pressed my lips. "You were very good to me.
"But you were acting ambiguously with me."
Chi Jin could take back everything at any time.
I had been waiting.
Waiting for Chi Jin to tell me personally.
That he liked me and wanted me to stay.
But I waited until the day of the planned departure.
Chi Jin still did not say it.
Chi Jin explained urgently. "I am preparing a surprise for you!"
Seeing me still lower my head.
Chi Jin realized.
"I like you.
"Chen Wu, I like you!"
Chi Jin's voice was loud.
Several heads popped out in the hallway.
My cheeks burned. I pulled Chi Jin in.
After the door closed.
Chi Jin hugged me tightly.
His tone was like a puppy's pitifulness.
"Please, do not go."
My voice was soft.
"You said you would not marry me even if you married a dog."
His head was not working.
But he remembered grudges.
Chi Jin slapped himself.
He said softly, "The old Chi Jin died.
"The Chi Jin standing in front of you is the new one.
"He said he likes you very much.
"Do you want to be with him?"
Looking into those watery eyes.
I pretended to think for a moment.
Finally, under Chi Jin's eyes about to break.
I smiled and said, "Yes."
