This was how they ensured Titans
would never rise up again against
these brand-new Gods.
I felt my knees weaken,
the brutality of the truth
almost too much for my small body
to handle.
It wasn’t enough to defeat us.

who stood up against them
and drain them of their blood.

rejoiced on and ruled from
in their beautiful Olympus.

those golden floors every day,
that the surface they walked on,
the gold of their beautiful mountain,
came from the blood of those
they once called family ?
