Chapter 28 #2
“Lourdy, why you and Ali didn’t bring Louri with y’all tonight?” Kyomi tittered.
“Oh bitch, you got jokes,” I giggled. “Go tell it to her daddy.”
Some people brought their babies to parades because despite all the alcohol and partying, Mardi Gras was a family holiday for New Orleanians.
Louri had an infinite amount of festive, Mardi Gras outfits so I would have considered bringing her to a few low key, daytime parades if she was at least five months old.
But she was only a little over a month old, which meant she had no business being at any parade. Armias and I believed in that strongly.
“Psshhh, y’all won’t be able to keep my girl from the fun next year.”
“She’ll definitely be at some parades next year because she’ll be one. But I still won’t bring her to the lit, night time parades because a child is not about to come between me and my drunk fun.”
“I know that’s right!” Kamaria screamed and slapped palms with me. I wasn’t sure why she was co-signing me because her five year old son and three year old daughter were definitely at the parade.
“Bitch, my nephew and niece are here,” Kyana blurted out what was on my mind.
“And they’re right up under their daddy who insisted on bringing them. I wanted to have the nanny stay with them tonight, but noooo. He just gotta bring them kids everywhere with us.”
“Oh bitch, you gon’ stop playing with my babies,” Kyomi laughed. “I’ma tell them how you really feel!”
“Girl, ain’t nobody worrying about you, KJ, or Kylee.”
“My brother said he’s ready for another one,” Kyana grinned.
“He might get one this year. I think I’m ready, too,” Kamaria said causally. I guess having another baby was a casual thing when you were well off and happily married.
“I know that’s right! What about you, Lourdy?” Kyana asked with a big smile on her face.
“What about me?” I stopped dead in my tracks as we reached the street. The church was on the side of the streets where people were walking while the parade ran on the opposite side. The crowd had seemingly gotten heavier during the short amount of time we were in the bathroom.
“When you gon’ have baby number two?”
“When baby number one is not a baby anymore.”
“As you should,” Kamaria laughed.
“Girl, you keep agreeing with shit that doesn't align with your life. You got pregnant with Ky-Ky before KJ made one.”
“And that’s why I agree that she should wait until Alouri is a little older to have another one. Having KJ and Kylee back to back was a fun idea in theory, but then Kylee came and we had to actually deal with having two babies. We found a nanny real quick, bitch.”
“See, I’m not even trying to put myself through that,” I laughed. “The only thing I’m focused on right now is getting back to feeling like myself.”
“Well, bitch, you certainly look like yourself,” Kyana raved.
“Oop, is that a good or bad thing?” I grinned. I was fishing for compliments because it was obvious that Kyana had been boosting me up.
“Now you know damn well it’s a good thing!
I love this bag by the way,” she grabbed my pink heart shaped Louis Vuitton bag.
It was one of the few things I received as a Valentine’s day gift.
When I unboxed it I immediately knew that I had to rock it with my outfit for today.
I was like most New Orleans girls who kept it festive for Mardi Gras with purple, yellow, and green outfits or costumes.
But since it was Valentine’s Day I wanted to be in the spirit.
I wore True Religion jeans with red stitching, a pink cropped True Religion jacket with red cherry hearts, and over the knee red, pink, and white flat fur boots.
My new LV bag tied my look together perfectly.
Armias definitely had it in mind when he bought it for me because we had planned our Endymion/ V-Day outfits in advance.
He rocked True Religion jeans with red stitching, too, but his hoodie was all red and white, and he wore white, red, and pink camo Bapes on his feet.
We had already taken a lot of pictures and I couldn’t wait to post them because we looked so good together.
“Thank you, it was one of my Valentine’s Day gifts.”
“Well my cousin did his big one…OOOUUU, y’all hear that?!”
Somebody had been blasting bounce music, but they switched it up with a popular NBA Youngboy song that everybody loved.
It seemed like everybody in the vicinity stopped to sing along to the song.
If you were going to go word for word with “Shot Callin” then you had to give it your all. The lyrics really required it.
“Flexin', bitch, draw the stick and takin' shit. Bing, baow, baow, baow, bitch, stop all that holdin' me! Pussy nigga trollin', all y'all act just like some hoes to me! Put this bitch up on him, bring straight pressure if he think that he gon' roll on me!”
Kyomi was recording us on her front camera while we were bucking to the song like we were niggas.
“Yeah, I been chilled out, meds, I been in my bag! I been showin' my ass, nigga, yeah, nigga, yeah!” I turned around to show off my backside when someone fucked up my groove by bumping into my hard.
“Well damn!” I howled and I wasn’t being dramatic.
They damn near took my shoulder off. With the parade being crowded, getting bumped into was a non-issue and it was bound to happen.
But that bump felt extremely personal and there was no follow up apology.
Whenever I accidentally bumped into someone I said sorry immediately.
But this thick purple haired bitch kept it moving.
I was going to let it go because although it was rude, it wasn’t that deep to make it a huge thing.
That was until ole girl looked over her shoulder and revealed herself.
“Watch where the fuck I’m going, hoe,” she chortled, before turning back around to keep walking.
That right there confirmed what I’d speculated all along.
Nazaria aka Naz really thought I was pussy!
This bitch was about to learn that she didn’t know me from a hole in a wall.
Within seconds my pink 40 oz stainless steel Hello Kitty tumbler flew from my hand and smacked that dumb bitch right upside her empty head.
She stumbled and if her friend wasn’t there to catch her she probably would have fallen to the ground with my tumblr.
She quickly faced me looking stunned as if she couldn’t believe I just threw something at her.
If she was within arms reach and not walking away I would’ve hit her with my hands instead.
“Bitch, I know you ain’t just throw that shit at me!”
“Oh, but she did!” Kyomi hollered while laughing.
“Yea, I don’t know who you think you is pushing people and shit!” Kyana screamed.
“It’s giving fake bully,” Kamaria scoffed.
“Y’all lil weak hoes don’t want it with me!” She shouted with her fist balled up and a bright red face. She looked silly as hell.
