Hellhound Dance Among the Stones

Damon, one of the original Hellhounds, has spent three years in a rental cottage in the shadow of a ruined castle when notice arrives that the owner he has never met intends to renovate and sell.

Gargoyle Redford Stone, burned out from leading an FBI taskforce on paranormal crime, inherited the castle five years earlier and meant only to restore it briefly before going back to work.

Instead the stones begin to sing, Damon's hound will not settle, and neither man can name the bond between them, because hellhounds cannot recognize a mate by sight or scent.

They keep circling in careful silence, even as Redford puts Damon to work hauling rock and the castle guards historical secrets with very modern consequences.
