Here I must admit something to you, reader.
I did not plan to stop Katherine Howard from marrying Henry.
Not only did that seem the more difficult route to choose, but I also wanted to take advantage of the moment.
If Anne and Lina could convince her, Kat could be a Sisterhood representative on the English throne.
A young and shiny new queen could advance our agenda.
To have one of us in the English monarchy again could change everything, could salvage what we had lost when Anne and Mary Boleyn were cast out.
Perhaps I should have chosen differently and asked my friends to spirit Kat away into the night, saving her from that beast they called a king. But at that time, she was a pawn I was ready to sacrifice.
A pawn I hoped to move to the opposite end of the board and make a queen.
