Chapter 84
Icannot believe Adam bought me a fucking house without me knowing. How did my aunt not mention it to me or my parents? I have so many questions. But right now, sitting with Gideon, whiskey in hand and his arm around me, the lake’s calm makes everything seem okay.
“It’s peaceful here,” G says with his arm around my shoulder.
“I do love this place. This cottage used to be a fantasy, and now it’s mine. I still can’t believe he bought it for me.”
“Then, keep it.”
“I’m going to have to think about it. Adam and I spent, like, all of last summer in this house.”
“If you keep it,” G says with a chuckle. “Please get new furniture.”
I giggle, swatting his chest. He has a point though. “We never fucked upstairs,” I share.
Gideon raises an eyebrow, looking at me. Do I want to fuck him? Of course, but we should talk about a few things still.
“I now see where you’re coming from about weighing vices,” I start.
“I think you and I should establish some clear boundaries about what is and is not acceptable in our relationship.” He nods, turning his body to face mine on the lounger.
“Today is a unique day,” I say, staring into his rich hazel eyes.
“But what do you think about us not drinking Monday through Wednesday each week?”
“I like this idea.” He smiles at me, pulling me closer to him with his arm. “I was also thinking a lot about alcohol the past few days too. I don’t want it to be part of my routine anymore. I want to make some new routines.”
“Me too. I don’t want to overcommit and rattle off a bunch more ideas, but not drinking Monday through Wednesday seems attainable.”
“So, we’re going to hold each other accountable?” he asks and I love when he smiles at me.
“Yeah, you can spank me if I break the rules,” I sass.
“Then you’ll break the rules.”
I laugh because it’s true, and he pulls me closer. Then I set down my glass and straddle him on the lounger, ready to make up for the time we lost.
“I missed you,” he says, cupping my face. We stare into each other’s eyes, and he pulls me down for a kiss.
“I want us to sleep over at each other’s place at least once a week,” Gideon says, breaking our kiss. “That way, we spend at least two nights together each week, and it’s fair between your place and mine.”
“Easy enough,” I say, crashing my lips back into his.
“I want us to work out together at least twice a week too.”
“No!” I protest, and his lips land on my neck. “Stop trying to seduce me into a yes to this one. I am not a morning person!”
“Baby, please, I want us to be gym rats together.”
“Do we have to work out so early?”
“If I retire, we can work out at any time of the day.”
“Retirement never sounded better.”
“Will you work out with me at least twice a week?” he asks with puppy dog eyes.
“Only because I love you.”
His hands run down my back, then squeeze my ass. “I missed this body so much,” he whispers with need.
“How much?” I tease, and he stands, holding me around his waist. One hand buries itself into my hair as he kisses me deeply. “Take me upstairs,” I demand between kisses, and he takes swift steps into the cottage.
“I love you, baby,” he says low, walking up the stairs. “Which room?” he asks before his lips land on my neck.
“Whichever.”
He throws me onto the bed in the primary suite, and I giggle. “I have to confirm,” he says far too seriously. “Are you my girlfriend?”
“Yes!” I smile at him. He immediately starts unbuttoning his dress shirt until he can swoop it over his head. On top of me, his hands possessively squeeze my body as he kisses me. G’s kisses are deep and so passionate. They are nearly taking my breath away.
“The break is over?” he asks, pulling his lips from my throat.
“Over.” I breathe, and he immediately sweeps my dress up and off. “I really missed you,” he says, kissing my chest and then my stomach. We both feverishly shed our remaining clothes and I get on top of him.
“You followed the rules, right?” I ask.
“Every single one,” he growls. “Even the first rule I gave you.”
I grab for his erection and guide him in. “Let me ride this fucking cock,” I demand.
I lean back, placing my hands on his thick thighs. Each movement and every touch reminds me of why I chose to stay.
“You’re in charge?” he asks.
“Yes. Now shut up,” I tease, picking up the pace.
“Your body …” He groans, snaking his hands over me. “I’m so lucky to have you.”
“Yes, you are.” I giggle. “I told you not to talk.” He starts to thrust up, and I let him.
“You’re the only one I’ll ever let talk to me like this,” he says, pulling back from our kiss. Then he flips me over onto my back.
“You don’t want to listen?”
“I want to fuck you like I know you like it.”
How can I say no to that?
“I love how you take it,” he growls, lifting my hips up to slide a pillow under me. “Scream for me,” he demands, relentlessly railing me.
There is not a single thought in my mind other than how much I love this moment and every sensation. I come and then feel him pulse inside me before he squishes me with his weight, flopping on top of me. “I love you, Dani,” he whispers into my ear.
“I love you, Gideon.”
He rolls to my side, pulling me into him.
We make up for the last few days by repeating this over and over, affirming our relationship with each orgasm until we pass out.
